Though it was evidently directed towards alternative fashion when it first opened up shop in Adelaide, it has now adopted a more mainstream approach, and their items will cater to almost anybody. The great thing about Dangerfield is you don't have to worry about shelling out a fortune. I've come in on a whim with nothing more than a twenty dollar note, and left with some pretty cool gear such as T-shirts, belts, jewellery and the like. Aside from their T-shirts being either very quirky or visually appealing, they have a great selection of button-down shirts, vests, ties, and overcoats. I've still got a winter coat I bought from them about five years ago, and it hasn't deteriorated a single bit. They also have a great accessories range, and if you're looking for bags, hats, belts or jewellery with a bit of edge, then you should have no problem finding it here. The staff is also very helpful and pleasant to chat to, and they won't make you feel like you're shopping in the wrong place.

Storing both women and men's fashion and accessories, with some funky bits and pieces here and there, you would probably describe most of the styling of clothes as being old school punk, and maybe a little on the gothic side. On the not overly expensive side, most of the items of clothing are around the $50-$150 mark. But with the unique style that Dangerfield offers, I believe it to be very worth it.

I give a loud round of applause to Joseph, because his store deserves every 5 of these stars. I'm very surprised I'm the first to review this one, because Joseph Uzumcu is an absolute memorable standout along Gawler Place, and as he points out, "The European style and atmosphere...will take men of all ages to one of the finest selections of attire and accessories in this country." Sure, there are other men's fashion stores around Rundle Mall to choose from, but Joseph Uzumcu: "...use[s] simply exquisite fabrics, the range and diversity of the clothing, the product knowledge that Joseph and staff have and so freely share with clients is just phenomenal." If there was one thing I always remember about Joseph, is that he's got his own unique one-of-a-kind style, choice of fashion, and how he dresses like nobody else I've seen in Adelaide. Everytime I see him in Rundle Mall, he's so immaculately dressed. In other words, he doesn't wear the typical black suit and black pants. He's got his own awesome colours and I love that about him. And the one-on-one service from his staff members is so good and accurate, that they make sure the sizes are perfect for every single man that steps through and tries on their suits. Check out another quote from their website: "The feeling of putting on beautiful clothing is a wonderful experience for men of all ages." I couldn't agree more when I tried on his suits. I could go on about Joseph Uzumcu, his top fashion, great taste in clothing, the lower than average price points, but the fact that this store offers the finest and expensive suits for hire for a day (for those that can't afford to permanently buy it) is something that I love. Even the Graduating students that need a full outfit for their Year 12 formal or ball can hire one here for only $40!! My older brother needed all his groomsmen to rock up in brand new suits for his wedding day. I was one of the lucky groomsmen, and we all looked like fine gentlemen on his big day! The photos don't lie, even over time. Now does this sound like a store we all can support? If so, I encourage anyone to go in there and take a look! You won't be disappointed.

The complimentary coffee while you get fitted carries a bit of a wallop if you're not expecting it. The staff are all-round champions; Dealing with Janelle in person and by email while I was organising mine and my groomsmens' suits was a real pleasure - a class act all the way. The email correspondence was always timely and the in-house tailoring service was always quick. One of my groomsmen got fitted 3 or 4 times and it was no problem at all. There is a great range of hire suits for weddings at a reasonable price and they come with all the trimmings (ties, cufflinks) This is not what I would call a place to consider penny-pinching. It is pricy but you get what you pay for absolutely 100%. My suit was 50% off on special as I also hired the groomsmens' suits through JU - not sure as to the permanency of that deal but it was a no-brainer for me at the time. I'm sure you could try and haggle with Joe if you were feeling saucy. That is also the one thing anyone thinking of shopping at JU should know - Joe is a salesman, first and foremost. A stockist of fine tailored wears, sure, but a salesman at heart. He loves to throw around numbers and push push push, but if you're patient and smart, you'll get a good deal. Be ready to negotiate!

A sexy girl in a sexy dress is a certainty to be spotted at least once in a visit to Rundle Mall, Adelaide. Come here on any given weekday and you'll believe me. It's only a matter of time before you suddenly turn your head towards that girl's direction...I remember an American businessman friend of mine that told me, "When I visited Australia for the first time, and I saw how beautiful Aussie women were, I knew it was highly likely that I could get into trouble. And I'm married." This isn't an understatement. I've fallen victim to the lure of Aussie women several times before. I especially loved the music that was playing. It's hard not to like a store when they have a playlist of a Sade song, followed by 'World Tour' by 'A Tribe Called Quest'. Frilly at the top, and skimpy and tight around the waist and legs. The prices are higher than usual, and you can get far classier dresses for a lower price. Miss Gladys Sym Choon still deserves a lot of credit for its designs from the Malaysian designer. Although designs can be simple and of one bright colour (my top two colours from this store are bright red or metallic black), there are other items on offer, and you've gotta appreciate that they've allocated a generous section for menswear too. Though not the best on prices, Miss Gladys Sym Choon do dresses very, very well. It was funny, because once I asked the shop assistant for a sexy dress, he was on fire and picked out five different colours without any hesitation! The other girls downstairs saw what was happening and they laughed when I said, "She's tryin', I'm buyin!'" LOL For those of us blokes who randomly suddenly get a testosterone hit while shopping, Miss Gladys Sym Choon will cause your jaws to drop. Thank you so much. The best way to end my day. I left there thinking, "Damn girl, you looked sexy in those tight dresses. Sexy, sexy, sexy." This store, like the Sade song, "gave me a kiss of life."

Like Justin, but maybe not as much as him, I like to perform. So I make sure to keep up my appearances by watching music videos at every spare moment I have - observing what unnecessary luxurious clothing the rap stars or artists are wearing. The shop attendant approached me within seconds of entering the store and kindly took me upstairs where all the best clothes are. She spent an entire hour with me dressing me from head to toe, and made sure I left the store fully educated about what clothes to wear next time. Not only that, but we talked about how well she's doing in University and that she is only a few months away from finally becoming a Lawyer, and how sad she was going to be when she leaves retail. That emotion in itself deserves five stars. I've never heard anyone feel that way about retail the way she did. She did an amazing job of giving me an extreme makeover, and turned me from casual skater boy to a very stylish Business manager who looks like he has way too much money to spend. I will never forget this store experience. When I put on these clothes I allow myself to dream about becoming Australia's Next Top Male Model on the biggest Sydney fashion catwalk, or getting ready to enter a courtroom as a corporate lawyer, or having a drink at a posh cocktail lounge. There's always the cheaper option. If I need a new shirt or pants, I just need to go downstairs for the casual street wear - this store is full of good selections and you can sense that the upper management who selected these clothes have great taste!! I've never seen a men's store whose clothes all seem to be in sync with one another. So cool. You'll pay a lot of money for an entire outfit, but the quality of your appearance in the mirror is absolutely "sheek, trendy and stylish". Everything you wear will be slim fit and brings out the best features of the male body, including my rear end, but trust me, the ladies will love you for it. You will notice that there are some unique designs on the suit jacket that really goes well with the other parts of the outfit. The colours purple, black and grey seem to be so compatible with each other. I was going to give this store four stars, but I'm sorry but the service I received from the shop assistant was one of the best I've ever experienced in Adelaide. The only downside to this store is that it can get expensive if you buy more than a few items. Due to my lack of funds, I really can't afford that much in here. My dreams of becoming the next Usher are sadly on hold for the moment.... but I love how you're open on Sundays! :) But what a better excuse to go hit the bars next weekend, than all of my new expensive businesswear?!?
