Yowsa, you better hit it straight or you are on someone else's fairway or lost in the woods. Our Minnesota PGA card brought us here and got us green fees with cart for $25. Woot woot! The forward tees were around 4800 yards which is a bit short. Par is 71. We liked the front nine but the back nine had too many hokey holes, ie an 's' shaped hole and a par 5 that turned at a 90 degree angle. There were several five somes ahead of us. Yet we did play in less than 4 hours. Staff was very friendly and helpful. So much beautiful scenery including rock formations, tons of vegetation, flowers, brick bridge, and views from the ridge.

Tee boxes and greens were well kept. I'm not sure if they even allow walking but the distance between holes is immense. We saw bunnies, deer, hawks, eagles, and a turkey. The forward tees were about 5000 yards which is a good distance. Loved the views of the river and bluffs from up high. A signature hole is #17 which is a par 3 that is about 130yds from the forward tees but plays like less than 100 yds because it's straight down. Fun.

A couple…read morehighlights: - several holes had amazing views of the river valley so much so that the couple we were golfing worh took lots of photos - the greens were challenging but in a fun way as lots of slope and very well maintained. - the course had a really relaxed vibe and fellow golfers were very friendly. - the staff was super friendly from the person washing carts who got us set up to the pro shop to the beverage cart server to the restaurant/bar where we had lunch after our round. Everyone had a smile and that definitely contributed to a fantastic atmosphere. The course had lots of terrain and mature trees but wasn't too punishing for novice golfers (90-110 scores) who only play a couple rounds per summer typically but are working to play more often. I would highly recommend making the drive during the summer and can only imagine the views in early fall with the river valley leaves. Finally it looks like the clubhouse / restaurant is set up to host events and wedding receptions with amazing views. We will be back as the views, course, and staff made the easy 1 hour drive from Eagan well worth it.

I never found myself in the sand but did find the water on the long par 3s where you had to fly the water to reach the green. Carts had GPS. There were also beverage carts along the course. They have a really nice turn to get food and beverages if you choose. Your green fee includes a small range ball basket. They also have chipping and putting greens for practice. Someone greeted us at the bag drop and loaded up a cart for us. Very nice staff and loved the course.
