Prices quoted were astronomical. Wanted $900 for a $150 part replacement and wouldn't provide a parts and labor breakdown. Steer clear.

I called One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning because my system stopped pushing air throughout my…read morehouse, and they were able to send a technician the same day. The technician showed up and determined the cause was a faulty blower motor and quoted me over $1000 for repair. I agreed and he came back the next day and replaced the motor. When we powered the unit back on to test, he said that he must have gotten a "bad" new motor. As an electrician, I suggested that he just jump power directly to the lead of the 120V motor, and when he did the motor turned on. He then determined that the control board was bad and called Ingles Supply. He had me pay for a new control board over the phone separate from the "company" (an additional $200 cost). While he had left to grab the new control board, I tested the original motor in the same manner to determine that there was nothing wrong with the original motor either. After returning he installed the exact same OEM control board and turned the system on to see if the blower would work. The blower turned on and he decided that he was going to "check" my AC system. He determined that I had an old R-22 system and it was low (reading 35 psi instead of 60 psi I was told). All the original tags were missing on the unit so how he determined the type of refrigerant used confused me. After running around with a leak detector, and being unsuccessful at finding a leak, he decided to add pressure to my system to find the leak by adding nitrogen to the system. He determined that the leak was coming from the evaporator coil (which he kept calling the "condenser"). He then informs me that I should not use my AC system and at least we got the furnace going. He then made an offer, outside of the company, to help me change the furnace if I bought one to do myself. A few days later the temperature dropped enough that I turned on the furnace to heat my home and discovered that no heat was coming out. After calling a few different companies to come and assess my system they determined that the new blower was spinning backwards, which was causing the high limit to trip making my furnace not heat, and that replacement of my previously working AC was my only option. Technicians with other companies assessing my system were baffled as to why the technician with One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning would put nitrogen in my system. While I know my system was older and probably needed replacement soon, the technician from One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning ensured that immediate replacement was my only option going into the summer months. We decided to go with another HVAC company for all our future needs.

I called 4/15/2020 at 4:20PM to request a service call on my furnace that wasn't working properly…read more I spoke with a lady in the office whom set up a apt for 4/16/2020. The lady I spoke with confirmed my address and set an apt for 9am-1pm. She said mostly likely would be 10am, but of course she could not confirm this. 4/16/2020 I called at 1:10pm. I spoke with Jeanine. I asked if she could estimate the arrival time any closer. She confirmed my address and said the gentleman was in Pueblo West on a job, however could not confirm an approx time. I then inquired about their policy "ALWAYS ON TIME OR YOU DON'T PAY A DIME" I asked how they "guaranteed" this policy. Her response was "We don't". I explained I first saw the advertisement on the sticker on the side of my furnace. Jeanine's response was, "Well then that's an old sticker."........sorry for the inconvenience and I will patiently wait for my service. I then dialed a 719-582-8592, Another number for ONE HOUR HEAT. Jeanie answered the phone! "One hour heat, this is Jeanie." I responded with "OH! SO YOU ARE ONE HOUR HEAT!" She immediately placed the call on hold. I waited on hold for about 10 mins before she began telling me about the different prices for different service apts. She began to tell me she had recently been employed and obviously needed a little more training regarding the company policy's and procedures. My call was transferred after request to BOB VIGIL. Whom clarified the policy's. And let me know I ACTUALLY DIDNT EVEN HAVE AN APT SCHEDULED WITH THEM. Bob attempted to make it right and set me up with an apt for this evening. 4/16/2020 My service call was completed by a gentleman Richard. He completed the apt and diagnosed my problem. A Blown inductor motor. Richards opinion was to completely replace the entire furnace. It's 15 years old, who knows what will break next. Richard called Ingle Supply and inquired about my part. I OVERHEARD ingle parts tell Richard, my motor would be $195.00. Richard ended the call and turned around to me and quoted me $550.00 for the part. Richard began telling me I should just get a new furnace. I was anxious about the snow storm coming tonight. I agreed to an APT for a QUOTE on a new furnace. I asked Richard about the part that I needed and what parts store he called. Richard explained me that I COULD NOT PURCHASE THE PART BECAUSE I AM NOT CONTRACTOR. I CALLED INGLE PARTS. I found the part and was told ANYONE CAN PURCHASE. So I purchased the part. For the price of $195.00. And will have take care of the rest myself! I have a PROBLEM with company's that try to SCAM! This is outrageous! When I spoke to Richard as his van as i was making my $89.00 Service charge fee. I joked with him about his office not liking me. He laughed and said Jeanie had told him out our phone calls. Clearly this was an attempt to SCAM! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY OR ANY FRANCHISE OF ONE HOUR HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING.
