My son takes gymnastic lessons here. He seems to really enjoy it. He's 5. They appear to be pretty safe with the kids. They have a nice facility with probably the best variety of obstacles including a horse, foam pit, trampolines, bars, a slide and other fun stuff for little kids.
It smells like dirty feet or a filthy gym locker room. This is the only gym we've gone to so maybe that's normal? I hate taking him and having to sit there for an hour and smell whatever it is.
I called for several months asking if they had any promotions to waive the $40 membership fee that you have to pay so your kid can take classes. They always said no. I finally decided to just sign him up. I asked the day before his first class if they had any promos to waive the fee. I was told no. I asked the day of his first class when I signed him up. I was told no. As I was leaving after he took his class they gave me an enrollment packet. Guess what it had in it? Yup. A special that week that if you came with a friend and signed up they would waive the $40 fee AND give you 25% off your class. I immediately asked to receive that promo. I explained that had I been aware of the promo I would have signed up through someone. They told me they didn't know anything about it. They told me I would have to talk to someone else when I came back the following week. When I came back the following week I spoke with Betsey. She told me they would credit me the $40 but not the 25%. They would not refund my $40, they applied it to my next eight week session. I asked to speak with someone else. I was told that was not possible. When I pushed the issue she gave me the email address of the owner. I emailed the owner and I received no response. I emailed her again a week later and Betsey responded saying she was responding for the owner and they were not going to refund me the 25%. I'm surprised that with social media they are going to run a business like this. If they don't know how moms like to share their experiences involving their kids they might want to educate themselves regarding that. I'm involved in multiple moms groups and several moms have already heard my son is in gymnastics and wanted to know where. I told them where and my whole story. read more
