I was shocked when the staff said "the doctor's diagnose is free. You pay for the medicine." They have been operating like this for 30+ years. I have been trying to find an experienced Chinese medicine doctor for my mother in law for more than 5 years. She has stomach imbalance which affected her high blood pressure, diarrhea, sweating, dry throat and a whole list of symptoms due to her imbalance. Previous doctors charged per visit for consultation and charge additional for herbs. It's quite expensive. Not only did I find a knowledgeable doctor, he gives his service for free! This doctor is the real deal. He is very knowledgeable and no bs. The best thing I appreciate the most is, if the herbs has an unintended reaction, I bring it back to him. He can identify which herbs caused the reaction and switch out the herbs to suit your body. Traditional Chinese medicine is a very slow progress treatment. It's really tailored to each person and their reaction to herbs. So if you choose this path. You must be patient. This shop can be super busy at times. During patient's consultation, he does run out to help with cashier or pick medicine for customers in the front of the house. Please be patient with him, he listens to you even though he look's distracted. Some times he is starving before he stops to eat. This whole store is very valuable to the community. I cannot express how grateful I am to find this store. You can sign up for classes for late spring 2024 through their website. The owner has many teas and can help guide you for a possibly remedy (if you are experiencing parasites for example after a trip overseas) or something as simple as needing to boost your immune system to avoid being sick. He can also offer teas that help you retain supplements you take and if you are experiencing depression he will offer a 30min consultation for $45 prior to determining what herbs to prescribe you and to make sure they don't have a negative effect on medicine you might already be taking. *your teas have to seep 15 min prior to having them. He also makes a great lip balm and a lovely facial serum. Two tea sachets and one face serum cost me $70. I will definitely keep him in mind for future needs.

I went in wanting bulk green and bulk mint tea -- the bulk green tea was extremely easy -- they have a massive wall of it, with prices, and they'll scoop it for you. The mint was more of a problem -- they had a generic box of cheap mint tea, and in broken / pidgin English I managed to explain that no, I wanted whole leaves in bulk, like the green tea. Once the woman working there "got it" she pulled out a drawer overflowing with beautiful mint leaves from the medicinal section. They were so cheap it was silly -- a massive bag for $2 or so. Plenty of other interesting things in bulk; I bought some Asian candies, some mushrooms, and other stuff I didn't need.
