Words cannot fully express the lack of integrity this company has. Can i give a -5 stars? R and S are used by a warranty company. The part they were going to install (knowingly) did not match the part that was inside the house. When we hired a more reputable company, R AND S (according to the company we hired stated) that they took a fuse to set them up to way - lay the progress making the fix complicated. I was connected with R&S my warranty company contracted them to do a garage door repair. They did complete the garage door repair job to my satisfaction. However, the plumber Raymond quoted me a very reasonable price on the installation of a gas line for gas logs and did not complete this job after repeated attempts. He told me to buy my desired gas logs (which I did) and he would do a same-day installation when he completed the garage door repair. Not only was this not completed same day, but it was not completed on 3 other scheduled appointments where he and a technician arrived and assessed the project, but were either ill prepared to complete project or "did not want to pay techs the overtime to finish that day" as he put it. They did well on my garage door repair, but I would NOT recommend their plumbing services to friends or subscribers to this site. Pro: I was not charged anything for these unsuccessful appointments. Cons: Scheduling and follow through/follow up appear to be a huge barrier to good business with this company. read more

Raymond Skinner, Racquel - office manner, front desk, phone receptionist, Jeremy the technician are HORRIBLE. Raymond the owner does not know anything about his business. He leaves everything up to Racquel who needs to go to Customer Service training. She is rude and very disrespectful. Jeremy the tech talks trash about the company but turns around and lies.. They have no ideal how to be professional or have etiquette. Please DO NOT use this company because the right hand and left hand are confused. Your item in your will be fix correctly. Can I give 0 stars? Stay away from this company! Our home warranty company uses R&S, and so they were called when our AC went out. It had been OVER A MONTH and it is still not repaired! A back-ordered part took 2 weeks to get in, and since then they have cancelled appointments 3 times (the first time due to ilness and the last two times due to broken trucks) and still have not finished the job. Rather than putting us to the front of the line because we've been waiting so long, they stick us at the next available appointment. So people whose AC broke this week are presumably getting repairs done before us. The receptionists are rude! read more

We were assigned to R and S Heating and Cooling on 7/2/2022 to fix our dishwasher. A repair man came out on 7/15/2022 and said that they would call us back regarding replacing or repairing our dishwasher. It is now 7/28/2022 and we have not heard from anyone. Wow! I have never delt with such a disreputable business. I was assigned to them by American Home Shield for a Heating/Air issue. It took them almost a week to schedule an appointment. Then they never showed up for the Friday appointment that was scheduled at noon. The contractor called about 6:30 PM and said he wasn't coming and would get it scheduled for the next Wednesday. Wednesday came and went and no contact. Thursday I called them to see when they were coming and they said it would be on the next Monday. When I pressed her to make it sooner she told me to find someone else. It was then that I saw the Yelp review! Just WOW! I called American HS to get a new company assigned. They called R and S heating and she told American HS that I- that's right-I never showed up at home to meet the contractor. I was there all day waiting for them. I even canceled a doctor appointment to be there. She flat out lied to try to discredit me and make my relationship with AHS difficult. Which AHS now realizes. UNBELIEVABLE! read more

What I want to know is, how on God's green Earth is this company still in business? I mean, are they actually going to people's houses and performing work? It seems as though this business is ran out of someones one-car garage. Or, maybe some teenager's basement bedroom? Nonetheless, I haven't ever experienced customer service this bad in my entire life. Not to mention, these people were caught in just simple, boldfaced LIES. How? Why? To make an extremely long story short, R&S was hired by Choice Home Warranty (also a joke of a company) to repair/replace our HVAC unit. Our air conditioning went out a MONTH ago. Guess what? We still don't have air conditioning. ( It hit 92 degrees in my house the other day). In the beginning, a technician came to our home and inspected our unit. A couple of days later, I called to find out the next step. I called 3 days in a row and each time my name and number were taken and I was told that I'd receive a call back. (No one ever called me back). On the fourth day, I finally got someone who would speak to me. Initially, they said they had to order parts. When we called a week later to follow up, they said things are taking a long time because of COVID-19. As a nurse, I completely understood. Another week, they said they were still waiting. Week 3, they said the parts came in. Then, they told us they'd come to our house on June 9th to repair/replace (still not sure what service they were actually going to perform) our unit. When we called the day before to figure out what time to expect the technician, they informed us that they couldn't be there on the 9th, but could come on the 12th. We were informed of this at 3pm on the day before they were supposed to show up. And, the only way we found out is because we called. Were they going to call and let us know they weren't going to show??? Then, they said they could be there Wednesday June 11th and they'd be there between 9-10:30 AM and they'd call 30 minutes before. And, also that they required $300 at the time of service. So, since we both work, we had a friend come and be at our home during that time to let them in & pay them. (This friend that did us a favor had to arrange childcare for his 3 children to be able to come to our house). When he informed me at 10AM that morning that they hadn't showed up yet, I called to figure out where they were. The lady who answered (who probably has about 3 brain cells), informed me that they had "tried to get ahold of us all morning" and that they weren't coming. They had ordered the wrong parts. (The parts we had been waiting a month for). {For the record, my boyfriend had ONE missed call. And, I didn't have one missed call. And, what parts did she say they ordered? COILS. You can get coils anywhere!!!} The lady told me to give her 30 minute to "figure things out" and she'd call me back. During this time, I am at work and do not have time to talk to this lady. (I'm a nurse and my patient was about to deliver her baby). Therefore, my friend called her back to continue the conversation. The lady at R&S told my friend that I WAS THE ONE who CANCELLED their service. WHAT?!!? MY. MIND. IS. ABSOLUTELY. BLOWN. Please, Please, Please, no one use R&S heating and cooing out of Corbin, KY. They all are a bunch of lying crooks. read more

By 1130 no one was here so I called to find out when I might expect someone. They said they would call me back. I called again an hour later and left a message and still no call back. Thanks to Sears Home Warranty, we were assigned this very incompetent company to do a plumbing job. This is not a plumbing company. Raymond Skinner showed up at our house on 1/30, looked at our faucet and said we'd need to cut a whole in the wall so he could access the faucet. He said when we had that done, he'd come back. He then said I needed to pay him the $100, which I did. My mistake! They have canceled, not shown up, shown up on the wrong day and now we have found out from Sears that R&S has turned this job in to Sears as completed and they have been paid for it. My faucet is now a steady stream. IT HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED! They have not even attempted to fix it. They showed up today 2/28, instead of March 5 as scheduled, with the wrong faucet and pvc shark bite fittings to put on our copper pipes. The technician did not have any form of payment to go get the right faucet nor did he have anything to solder copper pipes with. What kind of plumber shows up without a torch? This is an unethical company. DO NOT USE R&S HEATING COOLING!!! read more

Diagnosis was that I had to have a new compressor installed. What I got was Poor Service. Extremely delayed time on repair. Did not show up when they said they were going to; overcharges and shoddy work. I was overcharged for Freon even after I spoke with the Tech before he came to my house and told him that I had Freon put in two months prior. The Tech agreed that I could reuse my Freon, but later stated through AHS that I needed to pay for 9 pounds. I thought they were recovering the Freon then reusing it because it wasn't old and my tank was full (I had the unit looked at 2 months prior and had the tank filled so the Tech could check my internal system and they agreed that I could) but when I saw them using the recovery tank I now believe that they were removing Freon from my system even though the Tech said they were charging the system. They took out Freon and then charged me for what they removed. Then they said there was additional electrical charges. The company I went through who found these guys (AHS) vouched for them. Once they showed up they burnt the cap that attached to the compressor because it was left on during the brazing. (the heat from the brazing which melted the cap may have caused electrical issues) I'm not sure if this was what they were planning to charge me for. I was also told that they needed to put a new capacitor on and that they would return same day (Labor Day Weekend) because they didn't have one. It never happened and I have not heard from them in nearly two and a half weeks. I would not recommend them for anything related to HVAC. I don't even feel that they deserve one star. read more
