I would give a NEGATIVE rating if it was a choice. Stay away and buy a boat elsewhere or any services for your boat or any products you might want. I bought a $35,000 2020 Lund Impact 1775 Sport fishing package with the boat, Came with trolling motor and Helix 7 Chirp GPS G3N fish finder. It took a week and half to be ready for me to pick up. Once i picked up the boat and got it home. Going through paperwork the next day. Found that they installed the wrong Fish finder. Helix 7 chirp GSP G2N on the boat. That is the OLD version of that model and i was supposed to have the new model. I had called the following morning to let them know the screw up and the gentleman that answer the phone just laughed. Stated i'm not laughing at you just with you. Didn't think it was a funny matter since i spent $35,000. Got Transferred to Bret Nash the salesman and left a voice mail. Waited close to 5 hrs for a call back and decided i would call them back cause that was sufficient time to wait. Talked with Michael, He was at least willing to help kind of solve the problem. He recognized the mistake and said they have the correct one. They wanted me to bring the boat back in to swap out the head and Transducer! They wanted me to leave my boat there for 3 or 4 days so this could be done. (20 MIN PROJECT). They would not give any compensation and customer service was TERRIBLE. Basically said do it yourself, leave boat there 3 or 4 days or return the boat for a refund. AGAIN I WOULD STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE. They are so willing to take your money as fast as they can but not willing to help much if THEY screw something up when you buy a brand new boat. read more

I totally understand what service means to someone when purchasing a boat. I found that most marine dealers try to pass the buck off on the manufacture. R&R marine in the past has been a total failure. Recently, I was willing to purchase a nice Ranger at R&R Marine, but they were not willing to throw in one simple little $300 upgrade on a $54,000 boat. I would call them very tight, cheap and unwilling to work with anyone. R&R Marine has gone so far downhill over the last 25 years. Do yourself a favor and buy your boat somewhere else. Sorry guys, But I have to call it like I've experienced it. Back in the day, you used to get a package with your boat. A free fishing package or a ski package or any kind of extra incentive for buying your boat. Now, nothing. You have to pay for your own cover, fenders, mooring lines, throw safety devise etc. They won't even throw in a paddle. cheapest thing I've ever saw. Ridiculous! read more

I brought my 21' bowrider in for a fuel pump replacement. My boat has a very common V8 motor and Volvo drive. They told me it would take 3 weeks. After 4 weeks, I called and asked status. They sounded annoyed that I called and told me it would be done in about 10 more days because the "part was on back order." I was told the new pump would cost $275 and total costs would be around $600. A few days later, I received a call that they ordered the wrong pump and the correct pump is actually $930. Needless to say I was not happy. They did help out on labor costs after the mishap, but not very much. When I picked up my boat and took the cover off when I got home, the upholstery was filthy with shop grease, hand prints and boot prints all over the seats. Even the bow was dirty with black hand prints and there was dirt and dust all over like it was stored outside without either of my covers on it. What were they even doing in the bow to fix a fuel pump!? In addition, both of my batteries were totally dead which makes me believe they were blasting my stereo all day. You have to play it for about 8 hours before the batteries totally drain and I have a switch. One was brand new this year. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Knowing what I know now, I would have taken my money elsewhere. I was promised that I'd have my new boat ready to go a week before a big annual fishing trip. I didn't find out until the day it arrived that it was missing several very important items, the most important being the main outboard motor itself. Despite several of my attempts to remind the sales person to follow up on these things throughout the build process, it was a surprise to them at the last second when the boat was unloaded at their store. They never seemed to have any sense of urgency in getting the motor either. I could have bought last years model boat off of the showroom floor at a competing dealer for much less as well, I'm wishing I would have now. read more

Have had our boat winterized, shrink-wrapped, and stored for winter three out of four years. They called and said needs to be off their property by May 15th, 2018. Went to pick it up May 14th and told they were too busy and they would call in a few days. Told them while I was there to not remove shrink wrap as it would not be going on lake this year. They didn't call after a few days so went to check on boat. Found shrink wrap removed and HDTV antenna broken. They denied it was their fault. Will never ever use them again. read more

In late July I Purchased a 2019 Crestliner fishhawk 1850 with a 200 HP mercury four stroke XL from Rapid Marine, in Shakopee Minnesota. The experience has been nothing but a nightmare. First, the salesman Bret was extremely rude and dismissive. It seemed like he wanted nothing to do with me unless I was telling him I would buy a boat right now. I think a salesman of all people should be friendly and encouraging. These are called people skills, but he had none. Completely disengaged from his job and only doing the bare minimum. After purchasing the boat and taking a closer look it now seems like many things were just slapped together. Many loose deck screws. The hydraulic steering was plumbed incorrectly and there was air bubbles in the system. The hydraulic steering was leaking from the add port under the driver's side console from date of purchase. The two brass or copper fittings that were used for the add port did not fit each other correctly and to compensate someone put standard pipe dope on the threads to prevent hydraulic fluid from leaking, but obviously it did not work. The fittings need to be compression with O-rings. My son and I spent three hours getting all of the bubbles out of the hydraulic system. The trolling motor was not connected correctly. The GPS puck or antenna was not hooked up to the trolling motor and the wire for it was hanging in the storage compartment in the bow. I was not taken out for a water test with the dealer. When I finally took the boat out on the water it was torquing to the left and felt like the rear end was dragging. The motor was mounted one hole from the lowest It could possibly be. This motor has an extra long shaft and was way too low. I brought the boat back to Rapid Marine of Shakopee to have the motor raised, and gps puck, connected. I mentioned the air bubbles in the hydraulic lines to the service manager and let him know I corrected the problem and asked him to leave it alone. While the boat was at Rapid Marine in Shakopee the service manager and his most senior Mechanic decided to take my boat out for a water test. His mechanic claimed that where the motor sat was just fine, But I knew it wasn't. A 1.5 to 2 feet of the boat sits in the water and the motor sat almost 1.5 feet below the bottom of the keel. When I picked up the boat I noticed a decent size chip on the cowl. The chip was painted black and there was spray paint spackle all over the cowl, starboard gunwale, and transom. When I confronted the service manager about it he denied that his mechanics damaged the cowl, and said "You must have caught a rock" since I'm not a complete idiot I know that the cowl can't damage or paint itself. I glanced under the console and noticed air bubbles in the hydraulic line again and the fluid was now red. There is a Uflex hydraulic steering system installed on this boat if you go to the Uflex website it clearly states to only use Uflex hydraulic steering fluid. Nothing else. I was informed by another marina that the fluid they used was possibly for 175 hp and smaller or power steering fluid. Uflex fluid cost $25 a quart. After bleeding the hydraulic steering again I spent a total of $100 on hydraulic steering fluid. I called Mercury directly in regards to the cowl, and they replaced it through another marina. After washing the boat I noticed more damage. There was a giant scratch on the port side. I know I did not strike the dock so I suspect when the service manager and his mechanic took the boat on the water they did. Now I am struggling to find Touch up paint for the boat itself. The boat has been in and out of the shop four or five times and it took a few days each time. Almost forgot to mention all the money I dumped into the gas tank driving back-and-forth. Ridiculous. Everyone at rapid Marine in Shakopee should be fired. They are dishonest and scandalous. They have no respect for their customers. Avoid Rapid Marine in Shakopee at all costs. Do not purchase boats there and do not have service done. read more

I took my boat to R&R for warranty work on my floor since I am the original boat owner and the floor is covered. I choose R&R since I have done business with them in the past. I gave them my boat in the fall thinking i could get it back before the winter. I constantly had to reach out to them to find out what was going on they said Brunswick was fighting them and they ended up having it all winter. Unfortuately, I did not have my batteries out, wasn't covered and no expectations on when I was going to get this back. I was frustrated. Then in March I get a call to come pick it up right before a snow storm because they were in a remodel and construction, they offered no alternative. I went to pick up my boat...completely a mess and full of salt spray. I had to go clean it up and when it finally warmed up i lowered my motor and oil came out the prop...ugh. I drained the lower unit and had water in it, this would have been avoided if they would have told me what to expect with this warranty work and I could have winterized. I now have to drop the lower unit to fix seals that blew out. I then decided to go through the boat, my glove box was broken and not fixed, my console plastic cracked, snaps for carpet not installed, debris at the bottom of the boat, wires not rerun for dash electronics, missing boat plug and my stuff shoved back in with disregard. Now It was the brunswick tech that probably did all this but R&R was responsible for final product. I have written to the company but no response. I ended up fixing all the issues myself. This company does not care about the customer just themselves. I wont be taking my boat back or wont even think about buying a boat from them and I now order my parts online. They need to get it together and understand that CS is priority 1 otherwise we will go elsewhere. read more

We meet Lucas and Frank at the boat show in St Paul this past winter. They were very patient with our many, many questions. We have had unpleasant experiences in the past; so we are skeptical buyers. In addition this was our 1st boat purchase and we were not sure what options we needed and what we did not on our new Lund boat. This was a long drawn out process with numerous phone calls to Frank. Each encounter with Frank and Lucas was pleasant. They were not high pressure at all they were very accommodating. Every option we requested was in our boat when we took delivery. Lucas even took us out on the lake to show us how to launch the boat and use the navigation system. Every time we visted the showroom all the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The most horrible experience I have ever had buying anything in my 50 years. I bought a 1 year old boat from them and part of the deal was they where suppose to order a port side counsel that I paid for at the same time as the boat. I was told that they should have the part in 6-8 weeks depending on Lund. I paid them for everything on April 22 2017 which was a Saturday, so I paid them 36k for a boat, trailer and a part they had to order. I called the salesman on June 21 2017 ( 1 day short of 8 weeks) and they still had not received my part from Lund. I them drove the 41 miles today July 1 2017 to find out what is taking so long. The parts people said they don't have it yet and that Lund is closed for a week so the earliest they can call is July 10. I then asked when it was ordered and I was told they didn't order it until May 4 2017, almost 2 weeks after they had been paid in full. I waited to talk to the manager since the salesman I had been dealing with was not there. After waiting over an hour for the manager to finish with another customer my salesman showed up and the look on his face said he didn't want to deal with me. I asked him what was taking so long and why they waited to order it. He blamed the parts guy. They have a boat on the show room floor that has the part I order and paid for on it but they refused to give me that one to keep a customer happy. I well never buy a thing from any of there dealerships again and I well make sure my fishing club and all the clubs we work with knows what happened. read more
