Bill runs a great place and all the folks who work there are helpful, courteous, and just really good people. Howard's is a full service marina with boat slips, storage, fuel, boat rentals (pontoon and fishing), snacks, ice, and bathrooms. Many times we find ourselves just hanging out in our slip, boat watching, grabbing a pizza from their pizza oven, enjoying a cocktail, and watching the beautiful sunset. We absolutely enjoy our summers here on the lake and feel very fortunate that we get to do that at Howard's. Cheers to many more years to come.

The bar/snack options were only okay in my opinion. Very limited to type of drinks they could mix and also a tiny bit of inconsistency depending on who made the drink. The drinks were reasonably priced. The rental package I guess required a meal plan - which chips and salsa and veggie tray were chosen. They also sold a few snacks at the bar (a few typical bar snacks). We were able to use our own device to place music via an aux. It was a 2 hr event, we had so much fun the time went by really fast. When booking a private cruise, it is mandatory to select a food package so keep in mind that the price of the boat you see online does not initially include the total of the food costs and the additional taxes and fees. The staff have always been so nice and really create a fun environment. It always goes by fast because we are all having so much fun! I will continue booking through them because we have never had a bad experience.

Did a quick google search and found this place. Gave a call and the voicemail said to leave a message and they would get back. Yeah right. Well, about 30 minutes later the phone rang! Learned that SUPs were first come first served, but mentioned we were headed to them in mound from Coon Rapids and it would kinda suck to drive that far. I asked what our chances were and they were sweet enough to make sure they didn't all disappear! The process is super easy, tou check in and then walk the few hundred feet to the beach. They bring the boards (or whatever you've rented) over to you and you're set! When you're done you just beach the items and they come grab them. Only down side is SUP is kinda hard for a newbie as the lake is clearly a play lake. Constantly rough from all the jet skiiers.

All week there was going to be chance of storms so we wanted to wait it out and see if it was going to be accurate or not. The cancellation policy on the day of is for weather only (rain, high winds etc). So it's now the day of a reservation (11-7) at 9 am and it's severe thunderstorm watch all day. I call at 9 and ask if we're able to get a full refund, they say no because they have to wait to see if it's going to be bad weather during our reservation time. Fair. I call back at 1045 to cancel because I see it's going to be bad all day, not worth going out at all for $750 or even a partial refund of 375 to go out for half the day. I was still charged the $100 cancellation fee even though the weather was no good. It's upsetting they tried to get me to do a half day on the water when an hour into our reservation it's been lighting. We live an hour away from this location so none of it made sense for us to commit to this reservation unfortunately. If you don't want to go through what I did with no sympathy, either book another company, but your own boat, or cancel 3 days ahead of time

Today was the final straw... boat was not ready or cleaned when we arrived, so asked it we could keep it out an extra 20 mins to make up for their being late. All the owner could do was accuse US of being late. We have brought 4 other families into this boat club and we are ALL going elsewhere next year. Literally zero customer service, nor can they acknowledge when they make a mistake. Dirty old boats with awful anchors and no repairs over the entire summer. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!
