There was a lack of signage around the malls, such as a plan, I didn't even realise what floor I was on due to mismatched numbering in the lifts, no "mall staff" around made it a little more difficult. While most of the units were taken up, the same can't be said about the other shopping centres in the town so that's a bonus, the mall just had a bare/empty feel and it felt like there was a lot of blank empty space which could be utilised better. Decent shopping space within Shrewsbury, I do prefer the shops in the town centre and elsewhere, as this only consists of 17% of retail units within the town. 3*

Marks and Spencer's Shrewsbury location is quite a large store for a small town, although the…read moreconstruction is a little strange due to it being an old building, they have tried to make the store as accessible as they can, such as with a stair-lift to get into the Food Hall, or there are around 5/6 steps and of course, the main store has lifts and escalators. Probably the first Marks and Spencer locations I've visited which isn't a Food Only store to not have basic facilities such as car parking and toilets. The staff did seem friendly enough, and all in all this store isn't too bad for a small town but there are multiple branches nearby which are considerably better in terms of facilities, even beyond the basic facilities which store fails to offer and selection. 3* - It is one of the better/larger stores in the town centre despite criticisms mentioned, I like how you can access it through Darwin Shopping Centre or street level on Pride Hill.

They have a wide range of fashionable, well lasting goods for excellent prices. There is usually a queue as it is a busy store and less staff means less wages which means lower prices all round so it doesn't feel too annoying to queue up.

The till points are located in one position, and there is a cordoned off area to queue in, their is usually queues at the tills. This is a discount store that is now finding its footing in the modern day credit crunch, discount stores are becoming more popular.
