Stayed here three times now, so I think it's time to write a review…read more I'm going to start off by saying Center Parcs is not my preferred type of stay. It's a true European holiday park, where they give you the cabin, a fully-equipped kitchen with a microwave/oven and refrigerator, kitchen utensils...and not much else unless you get a better package. First time I stayed here, I didn't get the VIP cottage and quickly learned that there weren't even towels or toiletries at all. Quite the welcome. Since then, I've always made sure to get a VIP cottage. At least that guarantees you towels. But it also includes a sauna and hot tub, which is pretty nice. It also gets you bread in the morning. They make their bread fresh every morning, so I'm guessing that it comes from that. And yeah, don't expect A/C. The upstairs bedrooms can get very hot in the summer. They do have a center which has a grocery store, restaurant, and other activities. Not that I ever do any of the activities. But the idea of the holiday park is that you never have to leave it if you don't want to. Also note that this is very close to Circuit Zandvoort, so don't be surprised if you hear very loud cars if you are trying to sleep. The only reason I ever stay here is that it is generally the cheapest option for a group when compared to the hotels and Airbnbs in the area. Not ideal, but it serves its purpose.

I…read morefound a lot of stains on the mattresses and the rooms are small, but you pay a fairly decent price and are able to accommodate up to 8 people. Bonus is that there is a grocery store on the complex and you can also rent bikes here as well. Make sure you bring your own towel, or you can buy a thin one from them for a few euros. I'd come here again for convenience, though I do feel like the quality/cleanliness at the Airbnbs/hotels are probably better.

I checked in and the person helping me was really friendly and told me about the complimentary breakfast and snacks throughout the day/night. She then showed me to my room, which was a double bed with a garden room. The room was spacious, chic, and clean, and the bed was comfortable as was the shower. The shower had a rain shower which was awesome, and the bathroom looked really new. I really enjoyed my stay, and I would stay there again!

There are NO elevators in this hotel so keep that in mind because it was built in the 1600s. I appreciated that the minifridge was empty so you can put your food in there from your outings, also the coffee machine made some good coffee! From this hotel, it is walking distance to probably everything and it was a short Uber ride to the train station. I recommend to get a canal view so you can see the boats coming by! Lastly I did forget my favorite leather jacket in the hotel after I checked out, and they were kind enough to mail it back to my home in the USofA. Thank you very much. =)

Such cute little houses! They might be small but the inside is very spacious and well divided…read more Super friendly environment and family friendly. My nephews loved it and made lots of friends. They have a "bread service" for you to choose which breads you want every morning too, life safer! A 25min walk from the beach (in the dunes!) and super close to city centre and other activities nearby. There are a lot of beach restaurants with nice food and comfortable seating nearby so there is plenty to do! Tip: rent bikes for the week, totally worth it!

Having the canal just outside our front door was delightful. Hearing the church bells and watching the boats glide by is something you want to live again and again. Being able to shop at the local Albert Hejn and cooking a nice meal at home while experiencing the exotic flavors and local ingredients not to mention the cheese made us feel like natives ( at least for a while ). On a final note the apt gives you easy access to Westermarket and the trams.

Loes and Wing, the owners of the houseboat, were incredibly generous and accommodating hosts. This is especially true given my circumstances. To give some context, I am being reimbursed for my trip to Amsterdam, but in order to get reimbursed, I needed a signed contract and receipt as proof for my stay. Loes and Wing personally wrote, signed, and printed these for me -- much of it while they were on vacation! If that didn't already cause enough trouble for them, my friend and I arrived into Amsterdam around midnight, yet Loes and Wing graciously stayed up and waited for us to arrive -- greeting us only with smiles and a bottle of wine. Each day for breakfast, Loes and Wing went out to buy fresh bread for our breakfast, served when we wanted it, along with a generous assortment of juice, eggs, meats, cheese, yogurt, granola, and more. When it rained in Amsterdam the first day my friend and I were there, we were even provided with umbrellas to use. I was actually shocked that for the weekend we stayed in this houseboat, it wasn't sold out like nearly all the other boats in Amsterdam. One would think that the 5-star treatment we received as guests (along with a great rate per night) would cause this bed, boat, and breakfast to be permanently booked. My partner and I just returned from a week spent on Loes and Wing's Bed and Boat. The room/cabin…read morewas beautifully appointed with a very comfortable sitting area in addition to the comfy bed. We were treated with wine and a lovely table bouquet on arrival, with this then the amenities began..... excelllent breakfasts with a daily tray of meat, cheese, several breads, jams, orange juice, yogurt, granola and eggs or fruits. Of course, the unforgetable coffee karafe. All this within skipping distance of our daughter also on Levantkade and the trams/buses terminal. We were most appreciative of their kind concern for our wellbeing from umbrellas to boarding passes to directions. These folks are wonderfully personable hosts...truly recommend them and their beautiful houseboat
