I thought they were quite organized because everyone clearly wants to sit at the glass where all the bar stools are, which have the best view of the Palacio de Bellas Artes. The staff takes you to the tables behind the stools and they keep track of who is next once a party leaves the glass viewing area. You're able to order your drinks, food, or pastries at the table. They have a variety of coffees and teas. Since it was a little warm today, we went with a classic black iced tea. It was so refreshing and well made. We also ordered a ham and cheese croissant, which I thought was quite good. The croissant was flakey and the ham was nice and tender. It felt fresh and not like something that was sitting out for a while and reheated. I noticed the party next to us had a carrot cake and it looked delicious. The drinks and food do take some time to come out because it can get quite busy, but at least you have a nice view. Our croissant was not pictured because we were starving so we ate before our phones!

They have an extensive drinks menu, and the staff don't rush you, so you can take your time and enjoy the scenery. I especially loved the cappuccino frappé--it was so good I ordered it twice! The only letdown was the cold chocolate drink, which was quite underwhelming.

Our first morning in Mexico City called for a tasty breakfast, and after a quick Yelp search (and a…read morefew TikToks for good measure), we landed on Petit Roquefort -- and wow, what a great choice! We arrived around 10:30 a.m. and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away even though the restaurant looked packed. There's actually an upstairs area that you can't see at first, so don't be discouraged if it looks full when you walk in. Our group ordered a mix of items -- fresh green juice, two plates of chilaquiles, and two hamburgers -- and everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Service was quick and friendly. Our server was kind, made great recommendations, and navigated the language barrier with patience and smiles. What makes this spot even more special is its location inside a small marketplace filled with local vendors selling everything from clothes and jewelry to organic oils and scrubs. After breakfast, we wandered through the shops and ended up buying a few cute items -- the perfect way to start our trip! Overall, Petit Roquefort was such a delightful surprise -- great food, warm service, and a charming atmosphere. Highly recommend for your first (or any!) morning in CDMX.

The Portobello Roquefort seemed unique and a good enough option for a lunch sandwich. It included Portobello, mezala de queso, another type of queso called queso de cabeza, Dijon mustard so delish, and lettuce. The restaurant is set-up very elegantly, and the service was right on par with the ambiance. Not a detail was overlooked and our dining needs were attended to with great attention. I am almost considering coming back again before I head out. Highly recommended restaurant for breakfast or lunch!
