No, it's no Brown's Socialhouse & it's not fancy but the food is good, the service is really good (especially at supper time), Staff are friendly, & the ambiance, is comfortable. It's bright, you never feel like you're over or under dressed and best of all, the price is right! They offer a free appetizer or piece of pie IF you are a CAA member & quite often we receive coupons in the mail with some pretty good deals. When they have it, as it's only around for a limited time, their Roast Beef dinner is excellent as is their Molten Chocolate Cake served warm with a scope of ice cream. So for you Chocolate lovers Swiss Chalet is the place to go!

They use good ingredients in their food and their breads are home made. All their veggies are fresh and the place is fairly clean. The decor leaves a lot to be desired and they don't seem to like to turn up the thermostat too much. The staff is a bit hit and miss, some are friendly and others are typical fast food grumblers. The best part for me is the home made feel and quality ingredients. The prices are good and for lunch, I'm not looking for a fine dining experience.

We learned a lot about the history of this cafe, Brandon's downtown, its support towards the LGBTQ+ community, and it being a nice social event spot during nights and weekends. I always like supporting local business when I visit new cities, and this place is no exception. They deserve your support here if you're ever around Brandon's downtown area.

It's the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the moment. Very Friendly Manitoba if you ask me. It wasn't too busy when I went on a Friday afternoon, as it was off-peak season (early March). Not much ambiance in the restaurant, and its over the counter service. The pizza dough itself wasn't anything to be amazed over, but the toppings were delicious, especially the mushrooms, which had a very unique taste that I didn't expect at all.
