Huge farm, lots to do and would probably be beyond busy on the special occasion, festivity days…read moreduring peak picking times. We ended up visiting this Von Thun location (the other being in South Brunswick) on a super soggy, wet June day just as strawberry picking season was coming to a close and even though the weather wasn't ideal, our family STILL really enjoyed our time here. There were probably only 20-30 other people here at most, but it felt even less considering how large the grounds are here. The lack of folks definitely had to do with the weather as it rained most of the day, but when we arrived the rain had just stopped, so it worked out PERFECTLY. Since it did rain, unfortunately, the farm was a mud slop of a trail and our shoes/sneakers were drenched after picking, but it was great in that there was BARELLLLY anyone here so we had our pick of the farm and didn't have much competition in picking strawberries. Even though the conditions weren't ideal, we picked a massssssive, overflowing bucket of super beautiful and fresh strawberries along with some raspberries too. A lot of strawberries were beat up, but once we got deeper into the strawberry area, we found tons of perfect strawberries. The farm does not allow for eating while picking, but we couldn't help but try a few of the strawberries because they were soooo fresh. AND, we observed plenty of other folks doing the same, so we definitely weren't the only ones. There was also a huge play area too on the farm that we can imagine that if it were busy would be pretty chaotic. Overall, this is a greaaat, greaat farm for picking and we hope to be back on a nice day where we can experience the full offerings of the farm.

I highly recommend coming here on a weekday. It's $10 per person and parking is a breeze on the weekday. It was also empty and perfect for taking photos. Weekends are packed, the price goes up to $20 per person, and it's $5 to park. The terrain is a bit rough so wear good shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a good camera and you're set. I come here every year and I'm always amazed. Best time in end of August and early September. Oh and he planted over a million seeds this year, a million!

While you are there, explore local vendors, grab a bite from a food truck, and maybe even meet the owner, who literally wrote the book on this farm. Open daily from 9 AM-7 PM through about 9/21/25. Leashed, friendly pups are always welcome. Check dates/hours on their website/social media each season. Our photos do not come close to capturing the beauty. Let me say we did not have kids with us and this farm/park is definitely themed more for them, but…read moreI'm also glad we didn't bring any kids because of the pricing. So it's ok....but for the cost not great (for adults) kind of expensive at the gate and then the additional in-park fees seemed a bit excessive. They definitely have some great potential but there were many yard games and activities that were unusable, poorly executed and or not maintained. The corn maze was ok but blah, could be more engaging with history/local topic/ learning scavenger hunt. The soccer ball pool game was a brilliant idea but the play area should be 2x-4x bigger with artificial grass and better pockets than cheep broken buckets. Miniature golf and the aerial adventure looked really good, definitely a plus plus but I feel one or both were well overpriced giving the entrance fee. I didn't look too close at the food; they seemed to have better than average variety and options, though the cider donuts we saw on the way out were in our opinion overpriced and they didn't offer any smaller (individually) package options. Plenty of kids were definitely enjoying the activities and burning some sugar so there is that.

We had the best time getting drinks, picking tulips, and even shooting paintball guns together. What really stands out about Dalton Farms is their incredible staff. My mommom needs a wheelchair for going long distances and we did not have an off-road friendly wheel chair. The staff were so kind and accommodating and gave her rides on the golf cart from the car into the fields and vice versa. We were so happy to make it work and she was so thankful to be able to spend the day with us picking the most beautiful flowers. Thank you Dalton farms!!

NOT true on my part obviously but I see I was the rare one to agree with you! You are the type of person that thrives on people agreeing with you. Giving you likes validates you as a man right? Sad!! In this day and time of people working hard to give people entertainment and beauty - your comments are not even close to what this farm actually is so glad you got your one "like" to boost your ego. Yes it's a farm so actual farms aren't cemented. Is it Longwood Garden ? No- If that's the experience you want then go there and pay their prices to fulfill your perfect warped tulip dreams. This family works extremely hard every year to help people to relax and enjoy a local farm with their families and friends. You obviously don't know what it's like to grow anything either- you don't sound like a nurturing kind of person coming from a gardener or a parent since you avoid children and criticize plants that have done their best to grow in a more than difficult growing season with a temperature roller coaster season! We love this farm and have watched it literally blossom into a local gem! We like that it's simple, inexpensive, children friendly and that they teaches the younger generation how to work hard, be responsible and keep out of trouble by getting up on weekends and working hard. Guessing if you had time to write that review that it's the way you have chosen to spend your free time instead of doing what these teenagers do which is their best to make people smile. This farm is exceptionally run, has good vendor food( again supporting local businesses and supporting local musicians ) . I have always enjoyed my visits to this farm and I wish them lots of luck. My tulips are fantastic!!
