However if I had to change a single thing about the school, it would be the food. At our old location, we had cheese stuffed breadsticks, huge 50 cent cookies, and non-sugar-free coffee that was bigger than a 12 oz. I miss getting good drinks like mocha big trains in the morning. And I also miss the amazing cheese filled breadsticks. The food is not good at all. It taste bland and artificial most of the time. And we do NOT have an open campus which is unfortunate because I'd rather go somewhere else for lunch then here. We have a brand new principal and she is amazing! Hopefully she can make some changes. We have a huge problem with bullying and fighting at our school as well. And I'd like to let any newcomers know, just because we have a fancy school, doesn't mean it's the best education. Are test scores have always been pretty low. Facility wise, they should have put lights in on our fields, the batting cages are on the wrong sides as well. The wrestling room is quite disappointing in my opinion. I do however love the football field, the gymnasium (I do miss the second story), the auditorium, and the library (one of my favorite parts). My favorite part about the whole building is the studio photography/videography room! It's amazing! And great for future photographer/videographers.

It is a step towards healing. A new principle was appointed (who has the gift of understanding for special needs kids!), they have taken safety to new levels inside and outside the school with signs on streets and volunteers out in the am making sure cars don't run over our kids! The Teachers - with the exception of one (personality conflicts), everyone is top notch. The PE, Music, Speech, Lunch Staff, etc. are tough when needed but kind and really care (genuine). The Front desk staff - boy are they busy! They amaze me at all they have to do in a day and still are able to display patience and kindness. I've have 3 kids and my last one is working his way thru the school. I'm going to miss it.

I like the fact that the teachers care so much about their kids that they leave great plans for the sub, with the names of students who are great helpers. If I was starting all over, elementary would be my choice. Columbia Ridge is a great school. The staff is so welcoming. I feel great going there and great at the end of the day. My time is well spent here!!!
