Stopped by this quilt shop today after visiting the Old Prison. This was another reason that we came to Deerlodge because we had heard good things about this quilt store. It is a quaint store, however, my mother who is an avid quilter visiting from Florida was never greeted by the two ladies that were in the store. I came in after her and again no personal greetings, no pleasantries, just a look up at us and back down to the task at hand. What terrible customer service. The two ladies who were folding fabric and placing stock looked up at us and went about their business. Never once said a word....never asked if they could assist us in finding anything, never spoke. They spoke to each other and occasionally looked up from their tasks as I watched in shock of the poor customer service that such a small town Montana local store would provide to its customers.
My mother who was looking for a specific ruler, refused to purchase anything due to the lack of customer service and professionalism provided to her. On our way back to Helena we stopped by Avon at the Birdseye Mercantile and what a difference. If you need quilting supplies and would like it with a smile and friendly customer service drive to Avon, but pass on this quilt shop! They are not local or tourist friendly.
The lady in the pictures listed for the site here on Yelp....pic 4/5 she was one of the rude ones. read more
