You won't find fancy sides, but they have potato wedges in both seasoned and natural options, homemade coke slaw and fried okra. They also serve fried livers and gizzards. It is always clean here. There are a few tables in the corner available to sit and eat. The windows and vents are always free of dust and debris...which is more than I can say for some restaurants! The kitchen staff isn't always the friendliest, but they do prepare delicious food. And it's obvious they work hard. The Sunny Mart is definitely worth a stop while passing through Nichols.

Walgreens is a corporate drugstore that only cares about its bottom line and its stockholders. In Anderson on 81, I have had nothing but problems with this "business" . But when we got to the photo counter we stood there for maybe 10 minutes, no came to help. The older woman working that side of the store was sitting at one of the photo kiosk pulling pictures from what I perceived as her phone and never once looked up, even when I walked over and saw the Walgreens logo on her shirt. The young man was stocking shelves, so I knew there was no one else being helped.. I said loud enough for this lady to hear, " let's go somewhere else, they obviously don't want to help" and walked right pass the woman at the kiosk and she still didn't look. So we went across the street to CVS and bought about $50 worth of photos. . Have a nice day walgreens

I have used this pharmacy for years and have always found them to be helpful and accommodating…read more Their prescription prices are fairly competitive and I would say that their customer service was on par when compared to other chain stores in the area. I recommend using their app on your phone which enables you to manage/refill your prescriptions and see the status/prices, etc. at any given time. It is very convenient and helpful when trying to keep up with your medication(s). I also recommend their CVS Caremark/ExtraCare Card. It is their store savings card that you can scan whenever you enter the store for coupons (using the scanner mounted on a pole close to the front entrance) and use each time you make a purchase of any kind - prescriptions or general merchandise. The card tracks what you buy and produces coupons accordingly. For instance, if you buy a 90-day supply of vitamins, the card notes this and you will get a coupon in about 80 days for vitamins. That sort of thing... Note* The CVS app and CVS Card are two separate things and you will need both to take advantage of the services I have described here. This CVS is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. I'm not sure why, but it is. If you don't already have a pharmacy, this CVS might be for you.

We have used this pharmacy for years and appreciate the hard working people there. Unfortunately they are pushed beyond their ability to keep up with the volume of work. It seems that CVS is a victim of their own success. here. My wife has a really bad case of flu. I tried to call to check on the availability of her meds. No answer after 10 minutes of waiting. The doctors office attempted to get through and waited 17 minutes before they gave up. I drove into town and let the phone ring for 25 minutes before giving up. I drove back to the doctors office and got hard copy prescriptions and started to call around for the meds. Most pharmacies in the area answered within 2 minutes. Some within seconds. That includes other CVS locations... and I ended up driving to one of those where I got meds for my wife in 15 minutes from some very nice folks who were efficient and personable. The CVS on Main Street in Anderson needs more people, someone who can answer the phone, maybe a call back phone system, and probably a number of additional pharmacists.
