The final nail in the coffin was prior to checking out I told Roz, the owner/manager that I wanted…read moreto give her notice that I was leaving to have repairs made to my RV and that my departure date was uncertain as I was waiting on the RV Repair center to give me an exact date. The repairs were expected to take up to a month or more. The LRRVR Contract for long-term rental states that 30 days notice must be given prior to your departure or your security deposit will be forfeited. I explained the situation to Roz and she told me not to worry at all about the 30 day notice, that because I had been a good guest she would waive that requirement, but to just give her notice as soon as I had an exact date. Well, about a month later, the RV repair shop called and gave me a shop date of about a week out. I immediately told Roz. She again stated to me that it was no problem-and that she already had someone lined up to take my spot. Well, here's the short: I ask for my security deposit after I checked out and Roz refused, stating I didn't give her a 30-day day notice. I'm like what!? You had previously told me you would waive it. However, she said it didn't matter whatever she had told me, the contract states 'thirty days notice', therefore she was keeping my security deposit. That's just downright deceptive, raw, and dead wrong. As my previous review points out, the con's outweigh the pro's. It's too bad because the Lost Resort RV Ranch Park could have been made into a gem, but cutting corners and cheating people never works out in the long run. Finally, there are just much better places to stay, and mean dishonest people, they really suck.

It starts with a decent steep hike up to Cross hill, here you can see views all of Castroville and beyond. Coming down, we hiked along native cacti and plants, walked along a dry river bed, and took pics along a pond containing birds and wildlife. End of the trail dropped us in the well maintained green park. Clean bathrooms and community center were nearby. Nice local peaceful hike and you can picnic along the way as benches are scattered throughout.

The staff are very friendly and you could see they loved their job. The shower rooms are very big and clean. I enjoyed this trip and it's right on the lake where swimming and ropes on trees. This RV park is nestled right across the river from Garner State Park. What is great about the location is you are a very small walk down to the river bank, but way up high on the cliff to get a great view of the area. When the sun gets past 7pm, the oak trees give a lot of shade for the dinner hour. You are also near Old Baldy trailhead if you want to do a quick climb up the tallest peak there. Parkview has all of the amenities like a general store, full service bathrooms that are kept clean, and daily trash pickup. The wifi is pretty unreliable but does work with a delay like satellite internet. If you have AT&T for cellular service, you will be fine in the Concan area. Everyone else will suffer the total disconnect from the virtual world, which you were hoping to get away from, right? I usually go during Father's day week which seems to be a very busy time. It's hard to get a reserved spot during peak times, so be sure to ask to get on a waiting list.

We mainly came for the splash pad. They told us the indoor and out-pool is heated. The splash pad and the water playground was not and still really cold (early may). Water play ground was slightly warmer than splash pad but still pretty cold. My 2 yoa was shivering so we mainly stayed in the heated pool. My older daughter braved the cold and played in the water playground and loved the water slides. We would consider coming back and renting a cabin.

Internet is horrible, WiFi barely reaches the first few cabins near the ranger house. No TVs in the rooms. Can't say enough about how friendly this park is, definitely driven by Nick and Sue. They were so welcoming and helpful, and definitely give this park a special feel. That likely explains why they have so many longer-term RV residents. Our cabin was on the small side for us, primarily because our group was larger than originally expected. With six folks sleeping in our cabin, everyone had beds, but we were definitely getting to know each other... :) However, our cabin also had a great deck outside (can you say "morning coffee?", and everything was clean and functional. We also enjoyed the "loaner cats" that were around the park -- our teenage kids loved playing with them. No idea if we'll ever be back to Creek Hollow, but would certainly recommend it.

First let me say the park is a peaceful place to relax on my days off. There are several full time residents as well as transient campers, but it is never noisy. The park has all the amenities you could need. There are bathhouses that are clean and a laundry facility (2 washer, 2 dryer $1.50 and $1.00 respectively). There are a pool and hot tub. WiFi is also included. The sites are wide and level. We came in late at night and Sue was happy to accommodate us. The entrance hill is rather steep but we had no issue with our 38' rig. There is also a back way to exit if needed. The park is very shaded which is wonderful in the TX heat and the plants are beautiful. I love watching the hummingbirds and swallows. There are also resident cats who mind their own business and do not bother anything. (I'm not really a cat person) The cabins for rent seem cute! I would stay here again!!!

Jax is their dog who is great , you can find him helping to manage things. He is a character. He can open and shut the office door and often takes the passenger seat on the golf cart. The screened shelters are nice if you want to make a room inside or just to store things. Surprisingly enough, the bathrooms always seem to be clean and well stocked. They are also cold which is nice when it's hot out. The store offers lots of basic essentials in case you forgot anything and the gift shop is stocked with merch. There is currently some construction which can cause some headaches, but it's pretty minimal.
