We stayed here twice this year! We absolutely love it here. The horseback ride was great and Mr.Jim gave us some history about the land and its surroundings. We only wished we brought our kids to share it with them. They have great cabins, Clean and decor is rustic. Love the Cat "snoopy "that roams around the ranch. Great bird watching view. Extremely courteous, hospitable, and clean. The Whatley's are as good as it gets when it comes to hosts. We love the views, the cabins, the wildlife, the horses, and so much more! We have been once with our kids (and they LOVED it) and once without and we LOVED it just as much without them! Great for families and couples. We used Quiet Hill as a place to stay close enough to enjoy Fredericksburg and Luckenbach while being away from the hustle of the towns. It was absolutely perfect! The cabin was spacious and perfect for 4 adults. The shower had endless hot water for all of us to wash our hair, the kitchen was small but with space to cook full meals. We also enjoyed the bird observatory! It was the perfect place to drink coffee and ease into the morning. Our group also enjoyed the pool during the hottest part of the day. The pictures are deceiving, but it was actually very large and a stunning view of the hill country. The cabin, pool, and observatory were all very clean and orderly. Our stay was perfect for a weekend getaway. The Whatley's know what they are doing! read more

This was a lovely place to stay. We certainly enjoyed the Lodge. But don't expect to take a shower or wash your hair. I give the shower a minus one on a scale of one to ten. read more
