They could use a refresh or at least at add a port to the rooms for usb and usb-c. The c-store and business center look neglected and empty. Not very inviting for travelers.

Much better when it came to the AC being quiet. Gotta have that being a light sleeper. In the new room the bathroom door would not close unless you gave it a lot of force and would stick really bad. Now when it came to the bed, you would be better off sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag. The bed was EXTREMELY HARD and UNCOMFORTABLE. The worst bed I have ever slept on when staying at a Holiday Inn. For the owners, you need to do better and buy better quality beds. It is the whole point of someone coming to your hotel for the night. To get a good night's rest!!!!! Clearly not at this Holiday Inn. We will definitely be choosing a different hotel for our next stay when in town.

I asked for replacement pillows (non allergenic), and they brought them within 20 minutes, absolutely no problem. The food is really good and well presented. The steak with the peppercorns is great, perfectly done. The burger is consistently delicious. It was a birthday stay, and the hotel put balloons all over the bed - a nice touch. The little touches are appreciated (but I feel for the poor person who had to blow them up ). We'll be back.

Our room was really showing signs of age, especially the bathrooms, as there were cracks in the ceiling, chips in the vanity and our bathroom fan did not work. When we notified the staff about the issue with the fan, they sent someone to take a look, but weren't able to fix it. No further steps were taken to remediate the non-working fan. The facilities were also lacking as one of the showers in the women's change room by the pool remained closed for both days we were there. Considering that there are only 2 showers, having only 1 operational shower was not ideal. On to the food. We dined in at the Chophouse one of the evenings and the food was barely average. Our server's wine recommendation fell flat as it was way sweeter than the "dry white" he said the bottle was. The rosemary olive foccacia was served with butter instead of olive oil. The half dozen oysters were good, but my fish was salty and over-cooked, the medium-rare striploin was ho hum (pretty tough for the cut advertised), and the half lobster thermidor was dry and disappointing. All this for $500+ was ridiculously over-priced. The room service breakfast we ordered didn't fare much better with over-cooked pancakes and a rather sad looking standard 2 eggs and sausage breakfast. The smoked salmon platter was probably the best out of all we ordered. Again, at $120ish, this breakfast felt just as outrageous as our dinner. We did enjoy the pool and the hot tub a lot which is what earned JW Rosseau the 2 stars for this stay. I hope Marriott invests some money to update this otherwise beautiful hotel to really bring it back to its earlier days glory when it first opened.

Free grab and go breakfast is also available including omelettes, sausages, pancakes, choice of prepackaged cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, bread, coffee, tea, and juice. For those interested in using the pool or fitness areas, proof of vaccination is required. Per the public health unit, only 1 person is allowed in the fitness area per hour (even if my hubby and I wanted to work out together). A comfortable stay for more reasonable prices than many other hotels in the area. Would definitely consider staying here again if in the area.

The TV selection is limited with no premium channels. And as usual the remote just as many places we have stayed are slow to react - either low batteries or just the way they are. The breakfast is premise eggs, some meat options and toast, bagels, cinnamon rolls and machine that made pancakes. Which were not useful for us except for toast and bagels. The coffee very weak. Surprised to see non dairy milk provided for cereals and oatmeal which we were pleased. Would definitely return.

The room was nicely chilled, clean, organized and very spacious. We had a lovely view of the backyard with blooming flowers and a cozy fireplace if needed, plus the jacuzzi tub is such a treat when on vacation. We then enjoyed a lovely meal in the dining room. The restaurant was busy and even though understaffed the experience was truly memorable. Great décor, large beverage selection, and the chef and kitchen staff cooked delicious food. If you enjoy Salmon or Fettuccini, they are phenomenal and my recommendation. This restaurant is also open to the public for dinner so stop by if you are in the neighborhood. Breakfast is included as part of your stay which is great. The location is excellent too as you have many shops, stores and restaurants within walking distance. My only complaints are that the prices here are much higher than what you'd typically find at a Best Western Plus location, and I found the room to be pretty dirty while cleaning up commonly used areas. Not cool! Otherwise, I'd stay here again if I'm in the area because of the convenience factor and how modern this place is.
