We had an electric car that needed a charge, and I told my husband we could grab a Shorti inside and have a picnic in the car while we waited. I asked him to show me how to use the kiosk. He did his order super fast. When it was my turn, I was amazed at all of the options. I decided to go for the Chipotle Chicken Wrap. When it was time to choose a drink, I went over to the coolers to pick something out. I was nostalgic for a V8 juice because that is what I used to get when I was in high school and would go dancing on Sunday nights. So I was looking up and down all the rows, and all of a sudden, a very nice employee asked me what I was looking for. She offered to go look in the back for a V8 for me. It was so nice of her to do that for me. While I was waiting there, there was a crew of first responders also picking up lunch. Every single person made eye contact and smiled! When the employee returned and said that there was no V8 juice, I said it was fine and thanked her for looking. We went to check out and the lady at the register was very friendly and wished us a nice day. Then another gentleman customer with a lot of nice hair held the door for us when we left the store. I asked my husband if people may have thought that we were celebrities. He said, "This must be just how things roll in Flemington." It was the nicest experience I have ever had at a Wawa. We went back to our car, thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, and had a great afternoon driving home after that. So, thank you for being awesome, Flemington Wawa and surrounding community members! We will stop there again next time our travels take us that way.

I decided to run in and go to the bathroom before coming back out to fuel. An older female woman started yelling at me like I was committing the crime of the century and I had no idea what was going on. She started aggressively yelling at me that I couldn't park there unless I was going to pump gas. I assured her I was going to get gas and that I had been on the road for 3 hours and I simply needed to urgently relieve myself. She started to escalate her tone, yelling at me more and more and getting more aggressive. I didn't understand the issue and she kept telling me I had to move unless I was pumping gas. I returned to my car and tried to initiate pumping gas, and after two to three attempts she came over and tried to rip my credit card out of my hand. I pulled the card back not knowing what in the world she was doing, and I said to her, "You are not touching my card." She then got even more angry and slammed my gas cover door shut on my car and pounded on my car. In shock, I said, "You pounded on my car!?" Then she threatened to alert the police Finally, after all this, she informed me in New Jersey you can't pump gas yourself. I remarked, "Perhaps you should check the license plate of the car before acting like a lunatic." I went in and complained to the manager.

We also now know there are several truck stops further down on Interstate 78. We came to this Exxon to get gas after 10PM, and everything was dark. The attached Dunkin closes at 8PM apparently, and I would treat those as the correct hours. I hope this review helps people avoid stopping here when low on gas, and we learned some lessons from this one.

In need of gas, a restroom, and a place to stretch my legs in the middle of the night after many hours at the wheel, I found myself pulling off the highway with the promise of a 24-hour gas station. That is in fact, what I found at this location some ways off the main highway but none-the-less, offering what I needed. I pull up to a pump and an attendant exited promptly to pump my gas. Great! I'm the only car in sight. All the while, I'm fiddling with the interior lights to search for the fuel door release. It's late, I'm in a car I'm driving for the first time, and I'm having difficulty locating what I need. I briefly apologize as the attendant arrives to the car. They quickly reply with an incredibly snarky comment chiding me about my apparent inexperience with how to handle myself at a gas station. I'm tempted to bite back but know that in New Jersey, I'm not allowed to pump my own gas. I instead remind him that I'm from a state where I'm fully capable (and allowed) to pump my own gas minus the disrespect. Bathrooms could use a once over; no toilet paper stocked during my visit. Small convenience area. Dunkin Donuts on-site (not 24-hours like the station itself). Ample parking lot. Would have been a better experience with different staff.
