She is extremely knowledgeable about the science of nutrition and how it affects our bodies. As I answered her questions, she almost immediately was able to pinpoint my eating patterns and what was missing from my diet, including what food groups, timing of meals, calories in vs. calories out, etc. When I would answer her questions, Jennifer would explain a pattern or reasoning for something, and I always found my head nodding because she hit the nail on the head. I could go on and on, but I will just say that if you are looking for help with your diet or way of eating, contact Jennifer and you will be glad you did!

Jennifer Hnat called me back in no time and worked with me to determine insurance coverage, as well as, prepared me for my upcoming appointment to ensure it was beneficial. I booked my first appointment May 2nd & this has been the best thing I could've done for myself to get ahead of my inability to control my eating. She educated me on foods to consider and really made me become more mindful about what I put in my body and when in order to obtain the lifestyle change I really wanted. She worked with my appointments to accommodate both myself and toddler since I'm a work from home Mom & that really means a lot to me. Here it is 1 & 1/2 month later and I'm happy to say I'm no longer binge eating. I have a better relationship with food without becoming a slave to a diet sort of lifestyle. I have more confidence in the choices I make and when it's best for me to eat. I still enjoy foods I did before just in moderation. And as if all of this wasn't enough, I've slimmed down so much that I'm now wearing a belt with clothing that once made me feel depressed to just put on. If you're looking for an amazing Nutritionist that will take time to get to know and understand your needs, be accommodating, & professional Jennifer Hnat is definitely the best place for you. My husband and daughters are very proud of the work I've done and for once in a very long time so am I. I look forward to the continued journey with Jennifer Hnat on this new lifestyle change.

After years of trying to stop the disorder on my own, I lost hope that I would ever change and decided to accept the fact that I'd never get better. Finally my mom stumbled upon Betsy Thurston's website one day and my life changed for the better from then on. Betsy is a compassionate, knowledgeable, and caring individual who worked one-on-one with me for several months to change a lifelong battle with dysfunctional eating. She worked with me to find the source of my issues and gave me small, attainable goals on a weekly basis. She understood when I "slipped up" and didn't fully achieve my goals and encouraged me to pick up right where I left off. I never felt ashamed or embarrassed to be honest with her about everything. After just four months of weekly sessions, I had completely stopped bingeing and purging, and I had a brand new, healthy outlook on food. She helped me tackle and confront the source of my disorder. It has been 2 1/2 years and I am still *successfully* managing my disorder using the lifelong tools that Betsy gave me during our sessions. The best choice I ever made was to pick up the phone and schedule my consultation with Betsy! She is the best! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I contacted her and we had several meetings via Skype. She has a very unique approach to helping people with nutrition and body image. It was so refreshing to have a non-judgmental, objective person to guide me through to my goal. She helped me identify behaviors that lead me to overeating and we discussed ways I could change them. She noted that I'm a "tandem eater" who can eat mindlessly around others when they're eating, even if I'm not hungry, and now I try to remember that when I'm out with friends or with coworkers at lunch. She also provided me with numerous other tools, reading materials, and book recommendations that were quite helpful. I think that anyone who has ever tried to diet before probably has some aspect of "emotional eating" (which sometimes is due to GOOD emotions!) and Betsy is a very unique-and effective-clinician for this. I would recommend her to anyone who has ever wanted to lose weight but just can't do it on their own, especially after a few tries.

It's a little on the smaller side compared to big commercial gyms, but it has all of the necessary machines needed for a well-rounded workout. The machines all seemed to be in tip top shape save for one of the stair masters, which was out of commission (although this is of course typical at any gym so definitely no fault there!). The gym overall seemed really clean, especially the locker room/bathroom! I truly was blown away by how nice it looked and the number of items they provide to those that plan to shower and freshen up! I honestly hesitated writing this review since I love this place so much, and there's not a ton of members from the looks of it, but I was too blown away to not share! Also, they validate parking--the validated parking ticket can be found at the front desk.

Like I have yet to come across a gym that stood up to the caliber of this place. Maybe it is because of the location and the amount of traffic it gets but this gym was close perfection to me. If I had to describe this gym, I would say it's a medium sized gym located in the Bank of America building. They basically have every since piece of workout equipment you need except the one that works out ya butt. The staff is super personable and kind, they hand you fresh towels, and have locker rooms which contain both a sauna and steam room. They also have showers. The design and feel of the place is also very modern. When I used to go, they always had contests and raffles in which you could win cool prizes like a free month membership and such. They also have someone come out to do super accurate body fat measurements every now and then. The gym was never overly crowded and it was always very clean. They also contain a dance/spin room in which you could do calisthenics and things. There are constant cleaning wipes placed over the place to clean your machines and the overall energy of the place is calm and accepting. I didn't even go there for long and the staff learned my name. The only downside I would say is the location, which is in the cut, but because it's inside a building, there's also no parking and in midtown, parking is super scarce as is. This gym taught me a lot and honestly provided an area in which I was comfortable of tackling my weight and experimenting on different exercises without feeling judged or stared at. It's weird to say but this gym lowkey has a place in my heart. I've been to other gyms no other has the feel of this one. I'm not sure if I would call this place pricey only because I'm not sure what the average gym membership price is but it is definitely worth it. You can workout at any gym but the ambience, equipment, and cleanliness of a gym is what honestly makes it. RPM excels in all those areas and even its members are generally respectful and nice. And oddly enough, til this day I don't know what the acronym RPM stands for lol. If you need a gym in which you can really dedicate yourself, big or obese without feeling too pressured or embarrassed by the public eye, this is definitely the place for you. Normal, kind, people with varying intensities on how they workout without the judgement. Check it out.

Anyhoo, I have to say that the Center of Weight Management and the staff are so kind and professional. From the desk staff to the medical staff. They never make you feel as if you are bothering them, I can't tell you how many times I locked myself out of my patient account and had to have it reset and they did it with a smile every time. I was so ready to finally take this journey and they were all ready to take it with me. They had the nutritionist and physical therapist meet with me individually and it was great! They were just awesome to meet with and made sure I could contact them whenever I needed too. They also have psychologists on staff to help with any issues you might need to talk about but they also teach important courses prior and after your surgery, which is free to patients and a support person. Dr. del Mazo is an amazing surgeon. He makes you feel as if you are his only patient, I know he has many more, but I always felt as if I was his first priority. He visited me in the hospital after surgery and encouraged me to get out of bed and walk, he even challenged me and another patient to a contest ... she won darn it! But it was a great experience all around. There is so much more I could say but my boss is looking at me like i should get back to work. I swear they want me to work for my paycheck! Do yourself a favor, if you decide to take this journey walk with the Center For Weight Management At Gwinnett Medical Center they are the best!

Now that I'm post-op, it's time to spill the boiling hot tea all over the place. The first 6 mos…read more (waiting period due to insurance co.) were brutal. I got put through so many hoops to jump (nutrition visits, fitness eval) and it was a monthly thing for the nutrition visits. I was going through a divorce AND had just graduated from university all in one of those months and forgot I had a nutrition appointment one of those months because it was mentally chaotic for me considering what I was going through. My life had just been turned upside down and now I had to consider moving out and deciding whether to stay in GA for my new career or to get out of state (I chose the latter eventually). Note: I DID mention that I forgot that one appointment!!! So then when I showed up for the following month's appointment, I find out that some rat in the facility cancelled ALL of my upcoming remaining less-than 6 months worth of appointments without my consent and the attitudes of the front desk personnel at the nutrition/dietary center changed to negative and they started treating me like a juvenile delinquent with a lost cause. Mind you, I just graduated with a bachelor's degree and had been awarded for excellence in college. I'm not a mean person and I do value my time as well as others'. Well, long story short the clinic said they couldn't see me again until I talked with Miss Al'Nisa (one of the patient advocates) to resolve the issue for missing September's nutrition appointment. I kid you not, that lady approached me with one heck of a snappy attitude and said "You might as well just give up and start all over again with 6 months because you missed that one appointment." I stood up to her and said "Absolutely not! We are going to work through this." Had I not stood my ground, she would not have given me a form to give to my primary care doc to fill out (btw, that form got filled out easily and life went on just fine). This wasn't the first match I had with Al'Nisa. Some time prior to that day, I kindly (and professionally) asked her about helping me make sure my insurance company would pay for the surgery without them trying to pull a slick one on me in the last minute and refuse to pay for the surgery. Al'Nisa raised that snappy voice of her's again with me and outright refused to help me at all. If you even ask that lady for help, honey you are on your own. She doesn't do anything extra. That attitude of hers is toxic and I am so glad I demanded to have a change with patient advocates. Unfortunately, someone put her up to calling me again and by the attitude over the phone, I knew right away it was that snappy one again. I told her she had no business handling my case anymore. I got switched to Pedro for patient advocate and while he was much better, I guess he got the false rumor I am an idiot or something because he got smart with me on the phone one day and made assumptions and I called him out for it. Little did he know, I am going through a divorce and was in the process of packing up my house and things getting lost in the house because of the drama. Things happen, but that doesn't mean you get smart with me over the phone. Anyway, I made it pretty clear with this clinic I did not appreciate them going behind my back to cancel appointments just because I missed one appointment. Their attitudes toward you will change if you miss one day, so here's my advice to every single pre-op patient considering this clinic: 1. Hold this place accountable. You make sure you get a printout of your appointments for the clinic side (the side where you visit the nurses and surgeons) and the nutrition/dietary side) because if you miss one day, they will wipe out all of your future appointments without any notice to you and they genuinely do not GAF and I'm saying that nicely. You also make sure they did not cancel any of your appointments as well. 2. Go ahead and ask patient advocate for the nutrition/weight log that you give to your primary care provider to document for the month in case you miss one nutrition visit. (life happens, be prepared. Don't let them screw you over. NO you don't have to start all over again. They'll make you think that, but you need to put your foot down and stand up to them and say NO I am not starting over!!!) 3. Ask for Pedro as your advocate and your life will be with less bs attitude problems. He is more likely to work with you. 4. Do attend the pre-op meeting(s) if required for insurance purposes. They aren't painful or brutal. Just grin and bear it. 5. Buy at least 2 bags of Bariatric Advantage protein shake bags from them before your surgery date. They also sell the sample packs that come with a shaker bottle and tote bag, you're welcome! (less then $30) 6. Raj is amazing. If you end up having mental health appts with her, she's fantastic. Even if not required, I would highly recommend you visiting her at least once to talk about eating right and paying attention to your body.

After I started a new job earlier this year, I've had less time to cook and started eating out almost daily and put on over too ouch weight. But now, having such delicious and balanced meals available in advance allows me to eat at home consistently. I knew restaurant meals had too many calories, but I didn't expect these prepared meals to be so delicious, filling and healthy. The average meal is between 520 to 680 calories. Most of the time I can't even finish them in one sitting. So I'm definitely not starving and I don't consider myself as being on a diet. Besides the meals, I use Chris' help as a nutritionist. Through a mobile application, I log my calories and activities daily for Chris to review. Each day he gives me some pointers as to I did well and what I can do differently. Even when I go on long trips, Chris gives me easy to follow instructions on what to eat from restaurants or healthy snacks from gas stations and I've continued to lose weight while traveling. There is no judgement, but expect honest feedback if you make bad decisions. Otherwise you would be wasting your money. People, including personal trainers at the gym who do not train me, have commented on my body transformation. I already exercised before I started with Chris, but he helped me get my fitness goals to levels I didn't think possible anymore at my age (45). Everything is possible, you just need to know the science behind nutrition and that's exactly what Chris provides in addition to making it easy to follow the plan with his prepared meals.

Although I like to cook, I knew with a packed schedule that starts at 3:30 AM most days, there's no way I could manage to stay on top of my diet. I decided to try using some meal prep services. I experimented with 2 or 3 before Chris introduced me to his meal prep and nutrition services a the gym one day. I've been ordering consistently since then. I can say that his service has been the most consistently high quality and tasty food that I've had. The process is straightforward and doesn't require any subscription, so you're never in danger of spending money on food you won't eat. Since you can shop by meal, you also won't ever end up with food you don't like. Chris is super responsive to questions and very much invested in the quality of his food. The menu updates regularly, but not so much that it's overwhelming or confusing. It's a good blend of predictable while keeping things interesting. I'm maintaining my diet easily and anticipate that I will continue to use this service in the long term. Definitely a happy customer. In terms of commitment to customer service, today Chris personally delivered my food to my home after his usual delivery driver was unavailable. I was impressed. Many services would have delayed or changed their timing. This was seamless!
