During a stroll through North Park my friend and I were walking by the front entrance of this toy…read morestore and its crazy cool front pillar. That pillar is spectacular and makes you so curious you can't help but go inside. It is a toy and trinket lovers dream! They have every tchotchke you could imagine for young and old(er). There are signs throughout the store to let you know the cost of the toys in the various coloured bins. Things ranged from $1 to $10 I believe. Extremely cost-friendly, especially for kids. We walked around and reminisced about our favourite childhood toys, most of which were in the store. I found exactly what I was looking for and then some with the help of the friendly staff. Be sure to pop in and stroll down memory lane.

I told lots of my friends about it and was a frequent visitor. The prices when I discovered Replay a couple years ago , were reasonable for the location. Unfortunately the 15 minutes of online fame seems to have been what caused the prices to sky rocket. Toys that you can now buy at Walmart for $5 (they are not vintage you can purchase them TODAY at a Walmart ) are sold at a 300% increase, which is frankly greedy, considering these are toys marketed for kids. In addition to the greedy up sale, the store also carries cheap trinkets and squishy that are obviously ordered cheap in bulk from china and sold for another egregious up charge. Money aside , the owner also allows vendors to use AI generated images to advertise their booths. I shouldn't have to explain why welcoming AI use in 2026 is a disgusting thing to do. What a big F you to any artists who enters the store. Replay toys does not care if AI takes your job as long as you give them your money. What a disappointment this place has become.

This is one of my go to comic stores here in SD. It's not a far drive from me but the parking lot…read moreis small so be aware when you come you may have to park on the street. I like this location the best as there usually isn't any kids here and only adults so it's not a hectic as the mall locations of kids running around. They have such a huge section of everything: Funko Pops, licensed merch, lanyards, plushies, action figures, model kits, new/old/kid/etc comics, graphic novels, and their whole wall of cards from sports to franchises and of course pokemon. I will warn you now don't buy their squishmallow or pokemon - its very very overpriced which I know what the market is going for but I recently saw a kid a big one for 90$. The same goes for Pokemon yet so many people buy from here as they're fully stocked. Just now its highly marked up eg: ETBs are like 90 and up. I come here for the comics because they have a wall of new ones and their hugeee back issue inventory. I usually always walk out of there with at least 25 bucks and easily more of comics trying to complete older sets. If you shop here a lot I recommend getting their membership it's a one time payment and you easily make your money back if you shop often. Will never get tired of this place! ps the murals are super cool to admire every time i go.

Instead of helping us check out and take the business she pretty much said she can't help and when we walked in no one mentioned anything about them closing when we walked in? Seems odd for a shop that looks like it could go out of business. No one was in there? I would not come back. What kind of store denies service when all we wanted to do was pay????

I had so much fun exploring Tokyo Central & Main! What makes this place unique is that it's…read moreactually made up of three separate stores--two grocery markets and one dedicated to merchandise featuring everything from adorable Japanese plushies and cookware to cosmetics, electronics, and so much more. And yes...I had to explore all three! Both markets were bright, clean, and incredibly well organized. One of my favorite sections was the tea aisle. As someone who absolutely loves tea, I was in heaven. Their selection is huge, with everything from loose-leaf teas to powdered varieties that you don't typically find in traditional American grocery stores. I'll definitely be back to stock up on a few new favorites. I originally stopped in to purchase a matcha whisk set, but it was a little more than I wanted to spend. That didn't stop me from finding a few treasures, though! I ended up browsing the cookware section and picked up a beautifully designed set of reusable chopsticks along with beginner-friendly M-shaped training chopsticks. One unexpected highlight was getting to try a hand massage machine. It applies pressure to acupuncture points throughout your hand, and wow--it felt amazing! I'm seriously considering going back just to buy one. The produce section also looked fresh and inviting, so I can definitely see myself returning to shop for groceries. Plus, since my sons love anime, I already know they'll enjoy checking out the merchandise store with all the fun Japanese collectibles and character items. Whether you're looking for authentic Japanese groceries, unique kitchenware, specialty teas, or fun gifts, Tokyo Central & Main is absolutely worth visiting. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by--you'll probably leave with more than you planned, just like I did! And you already know you can always thank me later

They tray had about 40 pieces of sashimi, large pieces but a bit uneven cut. It did come in an attractive plastic boat so great to bring to a party. The tray was $55, no tax, ordered online.
