My parents recommended I take the car right over to see Rubin. He called within an hour of dropping my car off to give me the details. Turned out to be the vacuum pump. The professionalism was spot on. The next morning he called me at 9am to let me know my car was ALREADY available for pickup. When I picked it up, I know he stayed late into the night and arrived early to get the job done. Maintenance comes at a cost, however, it was MORE THAN fair. And the time - impeccable. Rubin runs a legit auto repair shop that I HIGHLY recommend. He is also a Dolphins fan. FINS UP! Thanks Rubin!

My neighbor warned me about Buck's, but I went anyway because of their loaner car program. They…read morewere keeping my car for several days, and I had to get to work. I needed a new radiator, but they also replaced the perfectly good original electric cooling fan with a cheap aftermarket. This replacement fan had a terrible vibration which caused it to roar like a Harley every time it kicked on. I took it back, and they replaced it with one even worse! It was so loud, that I could barely hear my radio! Then that fan failed me while I was on vacation. The mechanic who replaced it told me that whoever installed it did not put in all six mounting bolts. He left the two hardest-to-reach bolts out, which caused the loud vibration. Replacing that thing cost me $480 and screwed up my vacation. I'll never go back to Buck's again, loaner cars or not. I'll simply take time off from work if the next repair requires it. I should have listened to my neighbor!

My oil was overfilled by an entire quart, forcing me to have the oil change redone during a road trip in Northeast Florida. I also received my well-maintained 2022 VW Jetta back with a dead battery and check engine light. My VW app showed accessories and battery-draining functions had been left on during the 1.5-hour service. I understand the battery may have already been weak and that this may not have been caused by the shop, but the immediate blame placed on me and push to sell me a new battery was unacceptable. When I called several times with reasonable questions, I was met with rude and dismissive responses rather than empathy or accountability. I was also quoted $67 and confirmed three times that an advertised special applied. I later learned parts and labor were excluded, making the oil change around $120. While my final price was fair, customers should be aware that the advertised price can be misleading without the additional costs. Mistakes happen. The bigger issue was how they were handled. As a woman, I was also uncomfortable with conversations I overheard such as ways to add additional services for "her" and sincerely hope I misunderstood their context. This is my second attempt at posting this review. I've attached documentation supporting my experience and hope honest, critical reviews are allowed to remain.
