I did not notice until after I left the store. When calling the store I was met with the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I was put on hold and disconnected. I had to explain the story several times and transfered to several people. I was on hold over 20 minutes . No one would give their name. One woman when asked "Who am I speaking too?" Would only say "Customer service ". She eventually transferred me to a manager who was so rude I don't think I can even explain it clearly enough in this . First he tried to say "HOW DO YOU KNOW THE PRICE WAS WRONG?!" in a very agressive tone. He then put me back on hold to check the price then came back and blamed me for ringing it wrong myself because we went to self check out. When I explained I could not have rang in it twice as he claimed because there were 3 items in one deli container...I swiped it once and all 3 rang up individually with that swip...If I would have double swipped they all would have shown being rang in twice but that's not what happened. The item I was double charged for (which there were 2 of) rang up two times but at twice the price they should have been. For some reason he just wanted to blame me for the mistake. So I got annoyed by this and asked "Why is it so important to you to blame me.? Why can't you just except your employee tagged it wrong and refund me my money? " He insisted because it was my fault and I should be more careful! He did refund the money (after I said I would contact my credit card company) but insisted on continuing to say it was my fault. I asked his name and his response was " I'm not going to tell you!" .i don't care if they had the only food available in the stae...I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! Larger and less cluttered than my local WAWA with in and outdoor dining this QC was actually quite welcoming as the young ladies behind the sandwich counter greeted every customer. Ordering is now on the very common tablet format, and I went for the spicy classic Italian, toasted with extra peppers, onions, and provolone. While it took a bit longer than I expected they produced a sandwich that was almost a foot and a half long ..... A bottle of water and $11.05 later I was off to the park. While not proclaiming to be an expert on Italian Subs this one was a thing of beauty... The freshly toasted bread held a veritable garden of crisp romaine, red onions, hot peppers with a light dressing of balsamic and olive oil, black pepper and oregano all layered on a mound of brightly hued salami,soppresata,prosciutto and pepperoni.... so much goodness that the sub couldn't hold all of it so the extra strong deli wrapper was very welcomed. First bite and I was hooked....this was the perfect blend of textures with the crunch of the greens playing off the sweet/tart tang of the dressing along with the fatty saltiness of the deli cuts. Half of this monster went down fast and it was everything I was hoping for in an Italian but the other half will have to wait for another try..... perhaps after a nap in the sun. I can only imagine due to the neighborhood, the expectations are low and owners probably doesn't care much. But I will tell you this every time I've entered this place employees act as if you're bothering them when you have a question, self checkout employees display horrible body language. On July 5 around 8:30 I asked a question to a young lady who was working the are of the adult beverages, not only was she sitting up on the far end of the counter, she was clearly on FaceTime, and when I asked the question she replied nonverbal with her head. To make sure I wasn't crazy I asked again, she did the same thing again as if I was bothering her. So yes although this is a majority black poor neighborhood, ownership, management we count and also have a voice too.

The store is always clean, always people available to help, and almost always start with what I need. I say that as a long time customer but I haven't been to this location in about four years. As you can see in my pictures, I'm headed up to New York and wanted to make sure everyone got the best sweet potato pies I've tasted in a while! The customer service here is exceptional. Just about every register was open and I don't recall seeing any broken down self-service checkouts. While at the bakery, two representatives were talking and clarified for me which was the best tasting sweet potato pie. They also have self serve soups during certain hours of the day... All Quick Chek's carry similar products as other convenience stores...
