The Boca Raton Innovation Campus is famous for being the birthplace of the first personal computer…read morewhich was invented and developed here. The IBM PC Model 5150 was developed on campus in 1981. The first PC keyboard was also invented here by IBM engineer David Bradley although he credit its popularity to Bill Gates who decided to license his operating system to IBM in what is now the 5000 building. The campus was built as IBM's North American Research and Development facility in the late 1960's. It was designed by Marcel Breuer who is known for his conic Brutalist architecture with minimalist and functional designs. The innovative infrastructure was designed to withstand a category 5 hurricane. CP Group acquired the property in 2018 and IBM departed in the early 2000's. It has now been transformed into a vibrant hub for technology and life sciences with amenities like restaurants, art galleries, and event spaces. Future plans include corporate offices, retail, hospitality, and residential spaces. There are miles of walk and bike paths around campus that are open to the public. My favorite place to walk is around the lake which attracts birds and ducks. 5.5 laps around equals one mile. The lake is 20 feet deep in the center and holds 10 million gallons of water. While on campus you can also check out the Art on BRiC Walls Art Exhibits. Take a self guided tour of art exhibits lining the common area corridors. Collaborations with Palm Beach County museums, schools, colleges, and art organizations line the walls. Also on campus you will find Marcel Brewer's Cafe by Carmela Coffee, a conference center, a 7,000-square-foot fitness center with locker rooms, showers, and group fitness classes, an on-site primary care office, bike storage, Bits Autonomous grab-and-go, and more. BRiC is well worth checking out for the history, architecture, and art while exercise enthusiast can use the campus to connect to other nature trails in the area. The campus is also the host of the Coco Love Fest, a family friendly event from the Coco Market that offers retail shopping, activities, and workshops. It looks like a lot of great things are happening at BRiC. I can't wait to see what pops up next.

Where Innovation Meets Community - A Hidden Gem in Boca Raton!…read moreThe Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC) is so much more than just an office park -- it's where the past, present, and future of innovation intersect. Originally IBM's R&D hub and famously the birthplace of the personal computer, BRiC has transformed into a sleek, modern 1.7 million square foot campus that draws in today's brightest minds in tech, life sciences, and entrepreneurship. And best of all -- it's open to the public! I visited BRiC for the ABC Supply Great Chefs Tailgate Showcase on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, and I was blown away. The event kicked off college football season in true Boca fashion -- great food, amazing energy, and a strong sense of community. Local restaurants, breweries, hotels, and mixologists brought their A-game for an unforgettable night of flavor and fun. Some standouts from the culinary lineup included: Eddie V's Prime Seafood Boca West Country Club Los Bocados Crazy Uncle Mike's Graze Craze Boca Raton Deep Eddy Vodka Prosperity Brewers How Ya Dough'n (yes, the pizza was amazing) And many, many more. It was an epic tasting tour across South Florida's best eats and drinks -- all for a great cause. The event supported Spirit of Giving's Holiday Gift Drive, helping thousands of local kids experience the joy of the holiday season. Love that BRiC hosts events that give back while bringing the community together. The space itself is impressive -- spacious, modern, and full of energy. It's clear why so many global enterprises and startups are choosing BRiC as their home base. Whether you're a local, a visitor, or just a curious foodie -- keep your eye on BRiC. It's a unique destination where innovation, community, and culture collide.

Went there and it's inside a warehouse, seemed rather warm, not bright for working and the studio was the same in a warehouse behind The Flamingo House apparently next door to a mechanics or auto body shop making noise, I understand that's their business. Also, dark and warm. One part inside of the warehouse studio was a room, it was brighter only because of a lighting fixture. Studio had no windows to the outside and the garage door was exposed on the inside. I don't recall the Flamingo House having any windows in the work area. Rather claustrophobic. Personally, I would rather work at Starbucks, Panera, the library or somewhere else that was brighter and just a lot more comfortable. Also, for a business meeting, would not have gone had I known it was like this, very uncomfortable.

Do Not Rent at Regus Cypress Park West - Dirty Office + Unauthorized Charge…read moreI rented an office at Regus Cypress Park West for 9 months. The office was never properly cleaned or restored before I moved in. There was thick dust everywhere (including behind furniture), patched holes in the walls, dirty baseboards, and filthy carpet. What made it worse is that the rest of the building was in the same condition -- dusty hallways, dirty paintings, and neglected common areas. This clearly wasn't isolated to just my office. They still charged me a $560 "restoration fee" without inspecting the office or doing any work. After I disputed the $560 restoration fee and filed a Small Claims case against them, they still charged my card $560.05 anyway without authorization. I needed a clean, reliable space for work (I have a child with special needs), but instead got poor maintenance across the entire building and dishonest billing. I am currently pursuing this matter legally, including the return of my security deposit. I have videos and photos of both my office and the common areas.
