The Godzilla room had some minor tech issues, but Chris was good about paying attention and helping them work through. This room might be a *little* scary for kids, but it's not like, horror or anything. Solid escape room, as 60out always is.

We escaped the Godzilla vs Kong room over this Labor day weekend (Sunday) and I unfortunately have…read moreto remove stars due to technical problems in the room, incorrect resetting of the room, and poor game master quality (Nico). All of which were very immersion breaking and ruined the experience. Spoilers ahead for the Godzilla vs Kong escape room. There was only 1 technical problem but it made the experience harder and awkward. There's a part where you have to put your ear up to seashells (a conch specifically) on the wall and there's a sensor that detects when something (your ear/head) blocks it or is near it which triggers a sound to play. The sensors weren't good. We ended up having to use a finger to block the sensor to get the audio to play. The incorrect resetting of the room and poor game master quality may go hand in hand so will address these together. There's a volcano where you need to get 5 oblong rocks to divert the flow of lava by placing them in a series of holes in the volcano. At the start, there were 3 rocks already in the holes in the volcano, 1 rock in this metal protruding section, and the 5th rock was actually missing. There are these 3 holes in the room you're supposed to stick your head in and look up. These spaces where you stick your head in were pretty big, maybe 3-4 feet of space between the hole and the floor/ceiling/back wall. The 5th rock was on the floor inside one of the holes; which is NOT where it was supposed to be because it's dark in the hole (you get no controllable light source) and it was out of reach. We ended up having to use our phone flashlights and a metal arm grabber (trash grabber) from the first room to get the rock out of the hole. The game master (Nico) confirmed it wasn't supposed to be in there because he blamed us for putting it in there. Which is a strange accusation because 1. It's very obvious that the rocks are meant for the volcano and 2. our group of four would've known if one of us dropped the rock in that hole. We're not competitive escape artists but we've done a lot of escape rooms and this was easily the worst and most unimmersive experience I've ever had. Which is unfortunate because the theme was cool and production quality seemed like it'd be high. With just a few changes they could have something great but at the moment I can't recommend this escape room.

The staff were friendly and helpful too, especially when someone in our party wasn't feeling super comfortable with the doors being closed. I appreciated that they were flexible so we could all enjoy the day. We did the secret treasure themed room and it was challenging without being so hard we stopped enjoying ourselves. I've actually been to the other Maze Room for their Magic Tree and Lunar Mission rooms, which I also really enjoyed. But the set design for Alice perfectly embodied this dark fantasy aesthetic and was honestly so trippy, I genuinely felt like I was trapped in Wonderland and LOVED IT. The puzzles themselves were also so unique and interactive in contrast to the typical locks (not sure if there were any locks at all actually besides one bonus question). The overall ambiance is slightly creepy but nothing too scary - what's REALLY scary is how insanely well-made these rooms were. Our gamemaster (I wanna say his name was Max...) was manning two rooms simultaneously, and as someone who also has part-timed at an escape room, that's no easy feat but nonetheless did such an amazing job of immersing us into the world + had the funniest commentary that made the experience all the better. Super unique and some of the special effects are fantastic! I've done a handful of escape rooms across LA and Orange County and this is definitely a memorable one. It is a wee bit pricey and I would say there are a few things that I think could be improved in my personal opinion! In general, I thought a few of the puzzles were not the most intuitive/logical. This room is definitely made for you to escape so you can get the full experience, so the game masters definitely assist when you get stuck. It feels like some of the puzzles were made for the players to get assistance rather than solve on their own. The priority is definitely to get you to end! Which some people may love and some may not. But to each their own! Also, the room is a bit tight (but it goes with the theme). It makes it difficult to work on the same puzzles at the same time and although there are definitely things to multitask on, I feel that the room was generally a bit linear as in one puzzle tends to be in play which leads you to the next puzzle. Once most puzzles are solved, it felt like only 2-3 people were working on a puzzle while the rest of us were kinda standing around. It was also a bit hot in there so some better AC would be totally welcome. Overall, what a fun and unique room! I'd say if you get a chance to try out Lab Rat, you totally should! It was my family's last week here in the US, and we've been climbing here for the last two summers…read morewith little issue. The staff *before* was quite friendly. I've been/was climbing for 7 years and have a good amount of belaying experience. Further, the routes are not very inclusive in terms of height at higher V levels, and do not contain as much variety. The lead/top rope walls are extremely short and barely qualify, around 15m tall. You would be better off going to Sender One in Westwood, that has a BIG variety of problems from competition to fun dynamic routes, finger strength heavy, slabs, and more (excuse my horrible description). The test was unnecessarily difficult in the sense that they need you to "describe" the knot as some "parallel lines" rather than acknowledging being able to tie it properly, due to some language barriers which prevented me from describing it properly. They only accept the "PBUS" belaying during the test, and disregards what they call the "Yosemite belaying method," which they allegedly only use outdoors?? They do not specify beforehand what sort of belaying method they wanted, and provided little information as to why when asked "we just do it that way". It is also odd because a more experienced employee has and had accepted the other format. Inconsistent. I have also been able to get the belaying license the first time round (2 years ago) using the "Yosemite belaying method." This method is the most widespread in Asia, with all belayers (coaches, climbers/friends) alike uses it. They do have a kilter board?, which can be interesting as you have access to an unlimited amount of routes which I don't see often in other gyms. There's some sort of small gym upstairs with weights, cardio equipment, and space for recovery which is convenient and comfortable to use. Bathrooms are always clean and spacious which is nice.

With three simulators (recently upgraded) available to rent in 30-minute increments, it's a perfect place to sharpen your game on the range or play an indoor round. The staff (Casey, Ron, and Bobby) are all very welcoming. Grateful for Wired Golf and a place to keep my game sharp when I can't get out to play on a course every weekend.

This place does not know the meaning of sportsmanship. They are only a money generating machine, are rude and unfair and they don't know how to welcome new members.
