Nurse said no bones were broken. I don't believe a physician or a radiologist ever reviewed the xrays. A week later, hand still hurt and swollen. Could barely use it. Went to Raleigh Ortho and they viewed the xrays and, clear as day, it shows a broken bone. I don't recommend going here. There are no doctors onsight.

This was a pre-op visit for my upcoming Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery) with Dr. Carol Johnston of Office Park Eye Center. This is my second experience with Dr. Carol Johnston after having cataract surgery on both eyes several months earlier. Having experienced an outstanding experience and remarkable results with that procedure, I had no reservation or apprehension regarding my upcoming blepharoplasty procedure. I entered the Onslow Diagnostics Office and the front desk representative, Jabreea who has the kindest eyes and most lovely smile welcomed me to come forward to her window immediately, after explaining that I had a sick doggy in the car resting in the AC, she assured me she would let the others know that I may have to check on Tucker throughout the pre-op screening! Anesthesiologist Kate called me back promptly and patiently, professionally, and thoroughly went through all of my surgery history, medicine list, and all other pertinent information with grace and kindness. She didn't rush me and was open to any questions or concerns that I may have had. I felt very confident after leaving Kate and found Abby waiting to do my blood work and EKG. Abby was genuinely sweet and very determined to make the blood draw comfortable for me. MacKenzie watched over the procedure and was encouraging to Abby as she went about her tasks. I never felt the "poke" of the needle and the EKG was over in no time! Overall, it was just a smooth and relaxed experience and at no point did I feel rushed or nervous. As I left, Jabreea was there to say "goodbye and wished my Tucker a speedy recovery" which meant the world to me. This facility is a very warm and compassionate sanctuary, especially for others who are suffering through much more complicated scenarios than me and I feel that having warm and caring staff members like the ones that I encountered means the world to everyone who is uncertain and frightened about their future health issues. I'm thankful that Onslow Diagnostics has the best of the best to shepherd us through the ins and outs of pre-op procedures. It makes such a tremendous difference to feel the warmth and care radiating from this special, professional, and dedicated staff, I truly felt cared for. Thank you to everyone for everything you do! My son was admitted to the ER having overdosed on heroin while using my car. Thank God the…read moreever-vigilant local police found him, narced him, and he was taken to Novant Hosp. on 17th St. While there, he arrested (his heart stopped) twice, and thankfully responded to the defib. But he was clinically dead I believe. They treated him with whatever meds were necessary but instead of keeping him overnight for observation, they discharged him. He's homeless and was living in my car which had been impounded because of the DUI - and no one from the hospital contacted me. His ex-gf had to pick him up around 10:30 at night and he was barely able to stay conscious. I am eternally grateful they saved his life - don't get me wrong. But to discharge someone who's barely conscious, having just overdosed and suffered two cardiac episodes, drugged to the point of not even knowing where he was and at that hour of the night, with no notice to next of kin? Deplorable. On a less serious subject, I went to the same ER myself having accidently stabbed myself in the hand with a fork I had been using to tenderize a steak. Knowing I had not had a tetanus shot in 32 years and with a sudden pain and swelling in my jaw, I foolishly thought I might have contracted tetanus (a little knowledge is dangerous). The medical assistant who saw me diagnosed me with a swollen lymph gland - no tests and discharged with no prescription, though I DID get a tetanus booster. The swelling and pain got worse throughout the day and I went to one of those walk-in medical clinics. The doctor who saw me and to whom I described my less obvious symptoms, diagnosed me with Sialadenitis which is a blocked or infected salivary gland. No biggie, but it is very painful and if left untreated, can possibly lead to more permanent issues. Though there was no formal treatment like antibiotics, he recommended hot packs and eating sour candies. Worked like a charm. Now I have it on the other side of my jaw, but at least I know how to treat it. And that I don't have tetanus.
