Easy to book appointments online. Ample parking. Check in via kiosk on arrival. The staff is really friendly. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment time and was taken back immediately after check in. In and out in 15 minutes. read more

I go out of my way to get labs done here. The staff is upbeat, friendly, quick, and very good at what they do. No one likes blood draws, and after donating blood for quite a while, my veins are no longer interested and now I'm a hard stick. I need a tiny needle and my veins roll and hide. The phlebotomists here always get it on the first try, smoothly without making me feel Like they pushed the needle clear through my arm, and they strike up a conversation to distract while the blood is collected. Great place for a not great task!! read more

The worst place You check in for a stand by appointment Is an hr ànd half later ànd they haven't called me ! The check in machine says 30- 60 min wait. For walking in For drop off people they have to also take an appointment and they were on the other numbers to be call. They never called those numbers. 3 persons left without dropping their stuff. They don't care ànd gave me a card for a suppervisor Ashley Zavala ànd told me that she will tell her supervisor to put in the checkout machine that if you don't have appointment you can leave . That I will wait here forever. I explained. You are telling me to leave ? She says no I just telling my supervisor that idea. She say now she will call me and did not tell me her name I will tell all my especialists of this treatment I have received from this place. Chose this location (to have my mother's blood drawn) based on all the positive reviews in this post. Boy, am I ever so glad I did! Nicest people. Smiles and "Good Morning!" from every staff member she interacted with or passed within the facility. The technician (mom thinks her name was "Ida"), went above and beyond as there was an issue with the prescription mom brought with her. Ida called mom's physician's office, staying on hold for several minutes, then corrected the situation and carefully took care of mom. Top notch guys --Thank You for treating my mother as if she were your mother! read more

I've had Leo the last two times I've been to this location. He is truly the best. He makes the whole experience so easy. Leo has a great bedside manner- calm, friendly, and reassuring and is always very professional. You can tell he really knows what he's doing, which makes a big difference. Highly recommend if you get the chance to have him read more

I am absolutely blown away by the quality of care I received here. Top notch! The online appointment process and checking in once you arrive were both super easy. After checking in through the mobile check-in, I was called back within 5 minutes. I had a lab test done over 3 hours and almost every lab tech, including my main one, checked on me throughout my waiting period. I had two different lab techs for 4 blood draws - Ana and Jesus - both were kind, efficient, and accurate. I absolutely will come back here for more labs if needed. read more

I had to bring my German exchange student to get blood work done. She was already scared given she was in a different country without family. Jesus our tech was amazing but it was extremely difficult to find veins. He didn't give up though and brought in Taylor who used heat packs all sorts of other tricks to get the blood drawn. At one point both she and Jesus were working as a team! We really felt like they gave us top notch service! They easily could have said "sorry can't help, bye"! But they didn't. We super appreciate their extra effort. Highly recommend! read more

The ladies who work here make this place awesome. I pushed myself too quick to get up after the nice woman who took my blood told me to take my time getting up, well I should of listened cause about 10 steps in I ended up blacked out on the hallway floor and all. They all knew exactly what to do and were so patient and kind with me. I felt awful about it but they were so understanding and helpful, they gave me tips for next time so that doesn't happen again. This will be my go-to quest now. read more

I have been to this location several times, they are always on time and draw blood very quickly and painlessly!

Vanessa G is one of the most disrespectful people I've ever met. They wouldn't take my blood bc they didn't have an "account number " to my doctors office that sent the order, even though they have sent me there and many patients previously. The manager of my doctors office was waiting 20 minutes for someone to get on the phone. What was supposed to be a 10 minute visit turned into an hour and being treated disgustingly. The first girl who took me back didn't even speak English, and when I was trying to ask about my situation, the girl gave me the "give me a minute finger " also didn't even get my blood taken. I wouldn't have felt so neglected if her tone was just a little different. read more

Excellent service. Make my appointment online. Didn't wait more than a few minutes before being called in. I have difficult veins that are hard to find except for 1 that now has scarring from regular iv infusions but Young lady (name starts with K) who took my blood got my vein on the first try and painlessly. Pleasant, professional and efficient experience. Thank you. read more

My first visit to Quest was initially scheduled for November 25th, right after Thanksgiving, and I received a confirmation text the day before. When I showed up, there was a note on the door that the place was closed so I rescheduled for today, December 2nd. I didn't have high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. I checked in for my appointment through the link sent to my phone. When I arrived, I was taken back immediately. Sonia was the phlebotomist/ technician. She was friendly, professional, and very efficient. I hate needles and when she took my blood, I barely felt a pinch. I'll return to Quest at this location again just because of the location. Thank you Sonia:-) read more

Easy in making an online appointment l Apptmt at 8:10, out by 8:25!! Woman near me complaining that "she was there since 6AM" and was vocally unhappy, clearly she did NOT make appointment online. So easy to do on your phone Phlebotomist was sweet, professional and did a great job with my blood draw Highly recommended!! read more

Just prepping and getting up early for blood work that requires fasting is pretty stressful. Postponing my morning caffeine and only having water to start the day is less than desirable. Going to have blood drawn despite my aversion to needles is my idea of miserable. My first trip to this Quest in October ended abruptly when it seemed that the order from my primary care doctor was not in the system. For my return trip I made sure I was armed with a printed copy of that primary care physician's order and was glad I was because it did need to be presented. My arrival included having my temperature taken, my confirmation code on my Quest email inputted and my name added to the list with my appointment time. Chairs are safely spaced apart in the lobby and I was called just about five minutes after my 7:15 a.m. appointment time. Pays to get there early! I was ushered in, asked a few questions, produced my medical card to provide the membership number and handed over my credit card for payment. All very efficient and perfunctory. Blood was drawn, vials produced for me to verify my name was properly labeled and off I went. Much less crowded than the waiting rooms have been in years part but also much more mechanical without much effort to put a patient at ease. But I guess few of us are at ease at all these days so I guess that is just the way it is for now. read more

Quest Diagnostics - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Tampa, Florida

Recommendation: Do Not Book Appointment, as Walk ups get priority! Been sitting here for 1 hr I checked in hour before my appointment And they keep sayin 1-3-8 min And then they push me down. They prioritize walk ins over appointments And the staff is so rude I was told to go to another place If I didn't like it! And when I finally brought it up, they said they prioritize walk ins as they have to clear the room first. This makes zero sense as I am in the medical field. At our practice we honor those who have appointment and choose to come in early. We don't push them down. Walk ups should always get second priority. Your system really leaves a bad taste in folks mouths, and clearly isn't on par with the rest of medical community. Your Yelp Reviews are filled with this exact complaint. Clearly you all do not care to fix this. Maybe upper level management needs to become more aware of this! Lastly you folks are very rude when you bring this up. Why would anyone want an appointment they should all just walk in! read more

Don't like needles? Scared of the pinch? Well for someone who is both! I can truly say that Quest McDill is absolutely amazing! Walked in at 7am with a appointment scheduled for 1:30pm, checked in early appointment. Was seen in Maybe 10 minutes at most! Daniel greeted me with a strong yet reassuring personality that made my blood work for a physical effortless and eased my fears about bloodwork. I will be back next year and even recommend my mom coming to this location as she is due for her work too. Thank you Daniel for being amazing! You have no idea what this means to me! 10/10 read more

They were incredibly quick and efficient! I was in and out within a few minutes. If you're afraid of needles I highly recommend asking for Shelly. She was incredibly kind, compassionate, and gentle. I barely felt the needle when she did it and she eased my anxiety! read more

This used to be a very efficient team. They are either overbooking or short staff. My appointment scheduled at 11:40. There were 20 people waiting with scheduled appointments. What is the sense of having an appointment, if they do not run on time. read more

Easy Check in online or on there system. I made an appointment for a work mandated test at 7:10, arrived at 7am and was out of there before 7:20. They get you in and out. The staff I encountered was very polite. read more

A very slow and unorganized place to get your blood drawn, unless you have a few hours to waste.

there are only 4 folks in waiting room and they wanted me to wait one hour and 20 minutes. even though I was told I could walk in but they are very unfriendly to that. read more

I came in this morning to Quest as soon as they opened as a walk in. They opened at 6. They were calling all of the people who had appointments. They called me in at 6:37am. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The person drawing my blood was very nice and personable. I love how I didn't have to wait long because I did have to be to work at 7. All in all, great experience. read more

This is a joke of a place. I made an appointment and arrived about 8 minutes early. Checked in via the kiosk and my appointment was verified indicating they would text me at my appointment time as I chose to wait outside the lobby. After waiting 25 minutes past the scheduled appointment time I left. I received a text 46 minutes later advising me to come into the lobby and I would be called soon. Why bother to make an appointment if they don't honor them???? Will never go to Quest again. read more

This is the worst Quest I have been to in my entire life. The worst blood lab actually. I have been going to quest for many years and they have always been punctual and fair. I had to leave this waiting room 3 hours after my scheduled appointment as I watched people cycle through in front of me. The waiting room has one iPad and it's impossible to talk to someone until you get called back. There is literally a lock on the office door to stop you from going in and asking questions. Not only did I cancel my test and go elsewhere, I filed an official complaint with the company. Yes, that bad. Go ANYWHERE else, preferably not quest. read more

Walked in about 1:05p . Signed in and was called back within four minutes. Super clean and well organized. A very gracious employee walked me back to the office. I'm strange about my inner elbow. I just can't do it. She took it from the back of my hand and I felt nothing. As of today, this place is #1 Quest you rock! read more

This place deserves zero stars. Was here about 20 minutes before anyone else. Then they started taking appointments. They could have gotten me in quickly but never bothered. It was only after the waiting room was full they told me I was at the end of the line. It's not hard to figure out that they should have told me I was going to be ignored. Go get your blood work elsewhere. read more

Very new, very clean. Not sure why this has a low rating out of the majority of Quests in Tampa Bay. I was a walk-in the last hour in which they were open, and they were very welcoming and did not turn me away as other Quests have in the past (who can wait weeks for lab work, really?). The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The technician, Barbara, was very kind and the procedure was very well done. I'd recommend this location. read more

I came to this Quest location to get blood work requested by my Primary Care Physician completed. The building itself is super new and spacious, and parking was not an issue. The office itself is running well, however, there appeared to be a discrepancy between directions on the Quest App and their front-office software. I waited in my car for my appointment time to avoid potential COVID-19 exposure and after 7 minutes after my appointment time I went upstairs to follow-up. It turns out that they were calling for me in the waiting room for almost 10 minutes! Apparently this is a known issue with the Quest app, which itself is buggy. But the staff here from the front-office worker to the phlebotomist were all professional and courteous. Not a bad experience overall for a generally unpleasant activity. read more

Absolutely awful phlebotomy technique. My vein was immediately blown and the needle was not held steady resulting in more bleeding. Less than 2 hours after my appointment I had a large hematoma with a lot of bleeding and decreased range of motion in my arm. Quest needs to stock Coban and/or pressure dressings rather than just tape. Not to mention they were an hour behind on appointment times read more

At my primary care's suggestion tried walk-in but was extremely busy. Waited 45 minutes and then decided to keep my scheduled appointment same day afternoon. In the afternoon the system kicked me out and I was again registered as walk-in. My lab draw was again delayed by half an hour. Rude staff who recommended that i go to Lab core as they give a better service. Wouldn't even apologize for their inefficient system. They over book slots and let customers wait. System also lost my insurance information already given read more

Made an appointment online, as this location only takes patients "by appointment only", arrived early, checked in, was told I still had a 34 minute wait. What is the purpose of making an appointment if you have to wait 30+ minutes anyway? Do better. read more

Love the new location. Easy to check into and the staff is always great!!! Nice, big waiting room and electronic check in!!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don't bother making an appointment because you'll still have to wait an hour. Appointments are useless because they take walk ins and don't prioritize people who have already made appointments. When I asked why there would be a 62 minute wait, the lady was not very accommodating and snarky. My suggestion is to get your blood work done literally anywhere else. read more

Zero stars...here I sit at 12:24 for my 11:40 appointment. I was told I checked in a walk-in. Ridiculous..at least five people have gone ahead of me. The office was clean and wait time was very low. The blood technician however was not very kind and was condescending.

I'm extremely disappointed and upset. My mother was ordered to get a blood test which she did at 8:15 am this morning. The doctor requested the results STAT. It is now 5 pm and even though her doctor has called quest for the results several times today - no response. My mother has advanced kidney disease. Could Quest follow the doctor's request? No. I'm sorry but this is inexcusable. Tampa Swann Ave Quest Diagnostics team - just a little compassion would go a long way. And by the way - it's really not cool to stop answering the phone and 4:45 when your hours say 5 pm. Who works there that cares? If someone does I'd be happy to see the response but what I'd really like is my mother's blood test STAT which is what her doctor requested and seems appropriate to accommodate for an 8:15 am appt. Does anyone there care? By the way...I never post on YELP but I think this is so wrong and those that are considering a blood test at Quest when it is serious should go elsewhere. read more
