    I don't know anyone who enjoys getting their blood drawn but this experience went as good as it could possibly go. For your best experience I recommend making an appointment versus trying to go as a walk in. My doctors office contacted Quest and they sent me a link to make the appointment. They have numerous locations for your convenience. On the day of the appointment I was sent another a link to check in. Trust me when I tell you the staff here does not want to help you check in. They want to take you in, draw your blood, and send you on your way. If you don't get the link on your phone you have to check in on the kiosk. When I arrived they were crowded and I thought I was going to be stuck there all day but within a few minutes they brought me in. I drank a ton of water that morning to plump up my hard to find veins. Last time in Pompano it took two people forever to find one and they were considering going through the hand which I do not like. The lady I got this time has been doing this for 30 years. She got it right in on the first try. I didn't even feel the needle go in. It was a little uncomfortable during the draw but no big deal. I was soon on my way. Bonus, there is a DD next door where I was able to grab a much needed coffee. As long as I am using a doctor that doesn't do blood work in the office, this is an acceptable option for me.

    Very efficient and well run facility. You can schedule appointments ahead of time or do a walk in like I did most recently. However, if you're taking that route, I recommend you get there a little before they open. The times that I have had an appointment, you can check in from your phone and wait in your car until you are called. Then you can enter the facility with no need to check in again. All of the staff I have dealt with were very experienced and made quick work of the sample collection. You can usually be in and out in less than half an hour. All the staff continue to practice COVID protocols with masks and gloves and wiped down high traffic areas in-between patients in the rooms. Sample results are usually ready within a couple days. You can schedule the exams through your doctor, or by yourself, using your insurance. I feel very comfortable using Quest Diagnostic Services of Tamarac. And they are open a lot earlier than my doctor's office, so I generally don't have to take time off from work to have lab work done.

    4/14/18 - I have been a loyal Quest customer since a very negative LabCorp experience about 4 years ago. On this recent visit, I'm questioning this choice... really any choice. Normally, I make an appointment online for a early Saturday morning (so I can fast). On this day, I arrived just after the doors opened for my 6:45 appointment. The line was to the door for check-in at the two kiosks... no more human intervention on entry. Ok... I took one of the seats in the crowded waiting area having no clue the issues behind the door. Slowly, names were called but the seating inside was also full. When my turn came around to check-in, I immediately became aware of the issue: two of the three lab techs didn't show-up to work so there was only one person doing draws. Ugh... the wait begins. The normal few minutes was another hour before a second tech came through the door. Lucky me, I'm his first draw. This guys looked like he was just dragged out of bed and still asleep! A bit about me, I'm a five-gallon blood donor and have never had an issue with my veins. He couldn't get the vein in my left arm so instead of looking at the right he just dove into the left forearm. Take a look at the picture of the bruise one week after this experience. As I'm sitting there, he complains at the slow rate the tube is filling and says he may have to try a different spot. No way are you stabbing me again! Needless to say, I was not happy: excessive wait, groggy, grumbling lab tech and abused arm. Where are we supposed to go when the gorilla labs can only provide poor service and insurance doesn't allow a more dignified experience. Good luck!

    In and out less than 20 minutes with appointment. Staff is nice and professional. Facility is clean.

    Poor management of appointments and rude technicians. no one to check in with only a kiosk. waited until 12Pm when i arrived at 9:30.

    This is the WORST lab I've ever been to in my life! Don't go there! The staff is rude and not organized! If I could give it 0 I would!

    I'm sure at some point everyone has visited a Lab Corps. They've never been the most pleasant…read moreplace to go. Generally there's always a long wait and I've never known of a location to be overly friendly. This location stands pretty true so the routine. Not very friendly reception staff. The little kiosks they set up for you to check in never seem to work properly. The first kiosk I used wouldn't allow me to check in so I went to the reception desk to have them check me in and she just sent me to another kiosk! She never put an out of order sign on the one that wasn't working. It's not as if they were overly busy because she was just talking to her fellow employee. I had taken the time to set up the appointment and put in all the information on my computer at home before my appointment so it would be expedited as it says. But the scanner doesn't work to scan the barcode that printed out, so to me, that was just a waste of the time!! Because I still had to manually enter all of the information anyway. There were only about 5 people in the waiting room. I waited about 45 minutes. The gentleman taking taking the labs was nice and did it pretty quickly. The facility seemed fairly clean except for the bathroom.

    Went in for employment drug screening. Summary: I felt unclean was given poor advice…read more Let's get into it. I was seen 45 minutes after my scheduled weekday appointment. The QR code on the LabCorp email didn't work, but that's on corporate. Is it normal to have no sanitary wipes given? I was instructed to wash my hands twice, but I didn't feel very clean. Staff was talkative amongst themselves. This is fine except an employee gave me the 'wait one moment' finger gesture several times so someone could finish sharing a personal story. The biggest issue: I knew my urine test would come up positive for a compound included in my controlled prescription medication. I asked my urine collector if I could immediately provide my medication information, or if LabCorp will call me later to verify if I take a prescribed drug with the compound. The employee advised me I should tell my employer I take the drug. What?? "Interesting," was my reply. This initiated a conversation in which 1) I described my prior LabCorp experience (LabCorp calling after my visit to inquire my Rx prescriptions) and 2) the employee confessed a lack of knowledge on the subject they advised me on. It is poor advice for me to tell my employer what meds I'm on. Imagine telling your employer's HR you're on something like antidepressants and later learning they didn't need to know. Because the employee didn't know if LabCorp would call my employer or call me, their answer should have been, "I don't know." Their poor information and communication could harm someone's career. I am willing to raise my review to 3 or 4 stars if corrective action is taken.
