LabCorp makes the appointment easy (although they take walk-ins too); they don't require a prescription in advance, and they are very competent in drawing blood. They make the blood draw painless and offer the results online (got my most recent results on a Sunday and went for the blood draw on the Friday before).

She invited another nurse, who also took both of my hands and said that I don't have a vein? The news is like I wasn't human. The nurses asked me in an angry tone if I drank water before the examination. I answered yes, because I drank 6 cups of water before coming for the examination. Very disappointed in Labcorp I will NEVER go there. I went to another laboratory and the nurse immediately took blood from my "non-existent" vein

I have not been around a doctor like this in years and that's not a compliment. This certain doctor was working on June 18, 2026 at 7:00 pm. He was smug and he downplayed my Lone Star tick bite and sudden headache/body aches that I woke up with on day four after the bite! He makes patients feel like they don't know what they are talking about. He did not even look at the bite site! I sent my tick in for testing three days ago. The lab tested it for ten pathogens. One pathogen came back positive for Rickettsia general species (Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever). Just because the tick infected doesn't mean I won't get this RMSF? I don't follow this logic? I was told to come back in four weeks for a blood test if I wanted peace of mind. I did get the protocol of two 200mg doxy's the day before by a much more compassionate doctor. So I guess a headache ,body aches and tender site are not symptoms? I will never go back there or recommend this place. go to your PCP or Stonybrook if you get a tick bite. Not City MD in Riverhead.
