I have been going here (Labcorp - Riverhead office) for years and have nothing but praise to give them. I have a home in Hampton Bays, NY, so this was a logical choice. LabCorp makes the appointment easy (although they take walk-ins too); they don't require a prescription in advance, and they are very competent in drawing blood. I went to Labcorp to get blood tests done at the Riverhead office. One nurse couldn't hit my vein at all, she tried both arms, but she couldn't get the blood. She invited another nurse, who also took both of my hands and said that I don't have a vein? The news is like I wasn't human. The nurses asked me in an angry tone if I drank water before the examination. I answered yes, because I drank 6 cups of water before coming for the examination. This is my second time at this location to get blood taken. The staff was very rude and the woman at the front desk was shaking her head before I even asked my question. I work in customer service and would never do this to a customer. Very disappointed. read more

I don't know where to start, the one woman at the front desk was with no exaggeration horribly abusive.. I was in the week of November 1, 2020 for routine bloodwork. Upon entering there was a gentleman at the window in front of me so I respectfully kept my distance because of covid. I was unaware when it was my turn because I didn't hear the woman call me, I walked up to the window and I couldn't believe how I was treated. She immediately went off in how I didn't answer her when she called me over ( I didn't hear her, why wouldn't I answer her?). She asked if I had an appt to which I replied yes. Rude is not a strong enough word for this person. She was mean and nasty above and beyond anything I have experienced across the desk of reception anywhere. She asked if I checked in, I didn't know what she meant because I thought I was checking in with her. I was unaware I had to check in from my phone. I asked if there was a problem and She started yelling that I should have checked in and waited in my car and that I had an attitude. I was totally thrown off guard with how mean she was. I was so upset I was shaking. Everyone in the waiting room had horrified looks in their faces. I should have walked out at that moment but i was so frazzled that it didn't dawn on me to go someplace else. I joked with myself, thinking wow good thing she's not the one taking my blood but she was!! The worst part was I had my children with me and she continued to berate and speak to me condescendingly in front of them. Sadly, I wish I would have spoken up and then found another facility to go to but sometimes when we are in the moment of something upsetting happening we can't think straight. I was sickened by the experience and it just ruined my entire day. I really hope whatever is causing her to be a miserable human being gets resolved so others don't have to suffer her verbal abuse. I had to come her for my glucose intolerance test 6 months pregnant on a Saturday. The 2 women that work here manage the front desk but also draw blood. They are fast, efficient and ninjas when it comes to finding those tiny veins. I have incredibly small veins and I couldn't believe how professional there were. I had to get my blood taken 4 times in one day, and they made it quite pleasant. They also totally squeezed me in bc they had to stay past closing to finish the last blood test, which I was really grateful for. If you are looking for someone with a lot of experience drawing blood and don't want to waste time, this place is great. Upon reading other reviews on customer service, I honestly would ignore those. They manage the front desk and draw blood at the same time. Maybe they won't ask you how your grandma is doing, but they will have you in and out fast with little to no pain. I love this place. I go just about every 3-4 months and every time the staff is courteous and helpful. I always recommend them.

Made an appointment online and checked in from the parking lot. I had to wait a little bit, but not too long. It was very busy with walk ins, but they honored my appt. time. I needed 16 tubes drawn and usually have uncooperative veins, but Dorothy was so good it only took two sticks! Thanks ladies. read more

Walked into lab saw 5 people sitting in small waiting room probably being tested for covid. I walked right out.

There needs to be an investigation into one of the technicians/nurse at this facility. I have been experiencing continued nerve pain, poor circulation, and weakness in my arm since she drew my blood. During my appointment she made inappropriate comments and gross mischaracterizations about my personal life. Her demeanor was hostile in nature seemingly out of nowhere and for no reason, and at one point, she even broached the topic of my ethnicity. Completely unprofessional and a completely uneccesary question to ask someone while their blood is being drawn. Unfortunately, this occured while she had the needle in my arm. Just as one other person commented in their review on Labcorps (Riverhead) Google page, I was "trapped". I remained neutral because I was afraid she would become spiteful and do more damage. Please do NOT visit this lab. It is nearly two weeks after, and I am still recovering. I have seen my general practitioner and they have written a prescription for me to receive a nerve test to test for nerve damage. read more
