I've had some decent experiences with efficient diagnoses and care on weekdays. Please save…read moreyourself the pain and do not come on a Sunday. We arrived with a scheduled appointment. I was not called into the office room until 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment. By the time the appointment was done I had been in the urgent care for about 3 hours. Not expected at all! I understand places can get busy but it seemed the staff was all just farting around discussing meal plans, Netflix shows and personal life. I wouldn't have wanted to wait out there by the time I left. A full waiting room of people not even close to getting treated. Please avoid this place on weekends.

I went over to the well care on Niagara Falls Blvd. in Amherst. The wait time was OK. The staff there was exceptional. The first medical assistant that came in was very friendly knowledgeable put me at ease and did an excellent job. Sarah Wesolowski, the PA who stitched up my hand was very efficient very knowledgeable extremely friendly. I cannot say enough about the treatment I got. Sarah took all of her time with me. I did not feel rushed. She answered all of my questions. It was a great experience for a terrible accident. On Monday, November 24th, I went to WellNow for an ear irrigation (a warm water + peroxide flush)…read morebecause my right ear had started to ache -- usually a sign that wax has built up again. I've been through this many times before because my ear canals are tiny and narrow, and WellNow has always handled it just fine. This visit was the exception. The assistant who worked with me was wonderful. She was friendly, careful, and mindful of my weirdly small ear canals. She even managed to remove some wax without causing discomfort. Then Dr. Marc came in. I explained that my right ear was still throbbing and I didn't feel any relief yet. He attempted to irrigate it again, and I honestly have no idea what technique he was using -- but it felt rushed, sloppy, and almost like he was going in blind. His irrigation made me start coughing uncontrollably, and when he finished, I realized my ear was bleeding. Not a tiny spot -- actually bleeding. When I expressed concern, he brushed it off as "something that can happen" during irrigation. Well, Dr. Marc, I can confidently say this has never happened in all the times I've had this procedure done. I left WellNow in more pain than I arrived with, frustrated, shaken, and frankly irritated at the condescending explanation that followed. It felt like being mansplained to by someone who didn't know what he was doing and lacked any semblance of bedside manner. Update - Saturday, Nov. 28: I ended up going to the ER because the pain kept getting worse. The PA who examined my ear immediately noticed that my ear canal is inflamed, which pretty much confirms that something wasn't right with how that irrigation was done.

I have never been treated so poorly for simply declining to go to another location for an X-ray…read moreafter already waiting patiently with my baby. I completely understood the circumstances and that it was not the staff's fault the tech could not come. However, when I declined, NP Casey Renaud became blatantly rude and then questioned why I was being "rude." The interaction felt degrading and unprofessional. As I was leaving, she loudly told the other nurses to make sure they documented that I could not return, which was completely unnecessary and humiliating to hear in front of staff and my baby. No patient should be spoken to or treated that way. I do want to note that the front desk employee could not have been kinder and went out of her way to make sure I was okay afterward, so I truly appreciate her compassion and professionalism. Unfortunately, based on my own experience, I will never return and have filed a complaint with the New York State Office of Professional Medical Conduct regarding the incident.

Next after waiting over 30 minutes to even be called to be checked in I went to window and one of the two people sitting at the window was extremely rude about asking about the wait. My name was crossed off but I was never called. After 35 mins is when they called me up and then asked me to fill out paperwork. Filled that out and hand it in and waited another 25 minutes until I was called back. I was taken to an area where I had to change. There was a man sitting in that room. very strange and uncomfortable to have one tiny room where people male and female change and wait to be called out again. Next was bloodwork which was just out in the middle of an area where people are walking by and or coming from the waiting room. Chris was very nice but couldn't read his sarcasm. He was very slow from drawing the blood to doing the CT. Left me in room in machine for way too long for someone who is claustrophobic. Test was finally done so I was asked to go to waiting room so he could make my CD. That took forever! I was there for two hours for a 5 minute test. I will never go back there again!
