Just make sure to make an appointment because if you don't you may have a long wait and it is really easy to make the appointment

Bay Medical Center - Clients are not cared about. Seems political play a huge role. Worker just coughing and spreading the flu and never checked in. Privileged

I was finally seen after 5 hours in the waiting room. I was given Morphine and Anti-nausea…read moremedication. I had a cat scan which was supposedly inconclusive. That I did not have diverticulitis or diverticulosis. I was sent home. Not only was I sent home. I was sent home high on Morphine and Anti-nausea medication. (I had driven myself) Later that evening I was doubled over. I saw my GP on Monday who sent me back to the ER. But this time Gulf Coast. At Gulf Coast after the same tests. It was revealed that I had diverticulitis and was experiencing Diverticulosis. I will never ever again visit Bay Medical or refer anyone to bay medical. Had I not been proactive. This would certainly have been a very different out come.

My sister was rushed here after being hit by a drunk driver. Her elbow was shattered and she…read morerequired surgery to repair it. The accident occurred on a Friday night. She sat in a room with a splint and an ace bandage on her arm until Sunday night at 10pm before she even saw THE DOCTOR. Even then, the doctor walked in and spent approximately three minutes with her. With an off-handed attitude, he told her that they 'ordered some parts' for her elbow and that they should be in tomorrow. He then attempted to leave. My sister stopped him to ask some questions (after all, she was the one being operated on) and the doctor basically waved her off with a 'don't worry about it, sweetie' -type attitude. They ordered that she not eat after midnight on Sunday with her surgery scheduled for Monday at 1:30pm. Monday at 5:30pm an OR nurse came to the room to explain that 'other situations' has arisen that prevented my sister from being taken to surgery and that they *should* still be able to get it done today. At 6:30pm, they came and collected my sister and took her down to pre-op. Now 5 hours past her scheduled time and 16.5 hours since she last ate or drank anything, we finally thought she was going to be treated. Boy, were we wrong. At 11:30pm, 5 hours after she was removed from her room and taken to pre-op, 10 hours after her scheduled time and 23.5 hours since she'd last eaten or drank anything, she was finally taken into the OR. At 12:15am THE NEXT DAY they finally started on her surgery. The surgery lasted for 2 hours and 15 minutes and she spent over an hour in recovery. She was not taken back to her room until after 3:30am. With her surgery being delayed for so long, I figured I'd see something on the news about a plane crash in town. Or a bus load of nuns going off the edge of a cliff. Or a four-alarm fire at an orphanage. Something, other than sheer incompetence, to explain why her surgery was delayed by 10 hours. Nope, not a thing. I guess sheer incompetence is standard operating procedure at this place. If you're conscious, do not let them take you here. I was surprised when I first arrived here that the place seemed kind of empty, both of patients and staff. I'm not surprised anymore. You're better off going to a walk-in clinic then at this poor excuse for a care facility.
