Quest diagnostics, on 25A in Huntington. I had an appointment at 1:40 PM today, 4/06/2026. A woman in a lab coat called my name, I went up to her with the paperwork from a Northwell doctor (not from some no-name organization. Northwell.) She said to me: "What is this? I need a script" very brusquely and disgustedly, obviously annoyed. She walked away. I had to call the doctor's office, very concerned that the doctor had sent me off from 40 minutes away without a script for bloodwork. I had to ask them to send the script, which they sent me by email. It was the exact same paperwork. I waited, wondering if I should interrupt one of the lab techs and ask if I had the right paperwork. I finally did interrupt Theresa, who checked the paperwork and assured me that it was the actual script. It was 27 pages (genetic testing), lengthy and involved, but Theresa, calmly and patiently, took on the task, which took her quite a bit of time. She was thorough and friendly -- in short, terrific. She is why I am rating this 4 stars. Obviously, the other woman in lab coat didn't want to take on such a Herculean task, so she sent me off to call my doctor to beg the office to send me the "real" script. All of this was totally unnecessary and stressful. But, hey, she got out of doing it, right? My advice to her? Have fun doing those simple, lazy, little jobs, hon. NO ONE is going to want to work with you for long. And you are bad for business. read more

It was the worst experience I've ever had at a lab appointment. She screamed my name loudly into the waiting room like I was a piece of cattle. I sat down in the lab room and she didn't even look around to say hello. She typed away on her computer for about five minutes before acknowledging me. While I was waiting, I noticed several URINE samples sitting on the table next to me. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.!!! After she had done her paperwork on the screen, she told me I had a $50 co-pay and when I took out my payment card she made me lean WAY across the room (I was sitting down in the patient chair) to hand it to her without even getting off her seat. What a lazy, non-Customer Service focused person you had doing my lab work. I will never return to this location based on my experience and I may never use quest again. I understand that walk ins are deprioritized, but in an hour and a half only one person on the walk in list had been seen. The staff is not really busy and they take a long time between patience. They definitely could see more patience. After 2 hours and no movement on the line, I left. Is quest trying to abolish walk ins? If so, just stop accepting them. I hope the issue is only with this location. If it is, start managing it better! read more

I have NEVER - not ever- waited so long to get test results. Went to Quest because Northwell down the street was always so busy. Next time I will wait for Northwell, This is insane, to wait and wait and wait and with no response to my request for information read more

Patients please note EASYPAY IS NOT MANDATORY no matter what the "site lead" tries to intimidate you into paying in advance. He lied to my face telling me that Quest's "EASYPAY" is mandatory. It's not. I asked where in writing it says that. He told me to read the sign. So I read the sign. Spoiler alert- not mandatory in order to get blood work done and receive medical care. Disgusting predatory behavior from a "site lead" on a power trip. Every time I need blood work, even prior visits to this location, they bill my insurance and then I pay my bill when it comes in the mail. I would never prepay without seeing the bill when medical bills are notorious for being incorrect. Stick with Toni-Ann at this location instead she's the best!!!!!! read more

Never heard of a lab not having a drop box. No one is working at the place, only one guy for an entire town. The walk-in system is broken and appointments are never available, sometimes you are asked to travel 20 plus miles to find availability. Walked in to Quest, Main Street, Huntington. I have been coming here for many years, will NOT return. I was the only person in the office, I filled out the self check in. Check in said there were appointments booked, wait could be up to 90 minutes. I checked with front desk and was told that if no one comes in in a few minutes she would take me. I waited, and waited - 22 minutes later I got up and looked for someone to speak with to check my status. No one at the front desk, I called "Hello", "Hello" again and walked towards the back offices so to be heard, not farther than the bathroom, and this terribly rude "manager" stuck her head out of the office and said "I working!!!". I proffered, "you said you were going to take me in a few minutes it's been 25 minutes now, and no one else is here". She reprimanded me for walking in the "back", (I did not), and told me to "get out". I did. I went to Northwell at 195 Main and was in and out (with smiles) within 5 minutes, probably less. Good bye Quest, your current employees are not up to the job and have zero managerial skills. I might add that I am a 75 year old women and not at all accustomed to this type of interaction. This is a lab and it should be very clean. It is disgusting. It smells like a dirty filthy locker room. Shame on you quest. Plus I had and appointment and still had to wait 35 minutes. The nurse there was very rude as well. See took walk ins ahead of me even though I was there before them and had an appointment that was already 25 minutes late. read more

Came straight from my Doctors office before the 3:30 closing time to get blood work . Automatically checked in . Waited about 10 Minutes . Phlebotomist came out and said sorry we are closed . But I checked in before closing time !! She told me I didn't . According to her the computers shut down after at 3:30 which is not true because it let me check in and I have never come across a company that the system shuts down automatically. I asked if she could see me . Answer of course was no . I normally use Northwell health labs but since Quest was in the same building I figured I would go . I haven't used Quest in years because I always had a problem . I see nothing has changed . read more

Yesterday, I went to Quest for an 8:30 appointment. I got there at 8:20 and signed in at the kiosk. There was a long wait, so it asked if I wanted to wait in my car and I said yes. They confirmed that they had the correct cell phone # for me and told me they would call me when it was time to go in. After an hour I went inside to see what was happening and if I was close to being called. There was no one to answer my question but I saw that my name was not on the list. I waited for an appropriate time to go back to see the phlebotomist and explain the situation and she said that my name wasn't on the list at all and I didn't sign in. I explained that the kiosk stated that I could wait in the car but was never called. She had me wait just a bit and called me after 5-10 minutes. I thought everything would be OK going forward, but I was mistaken. I noticed that she didn't take the usual amount of vials, so I thought something was off. I got an email this morning telling me there were some results available, so I went into the portal. I saw that next to my name it said "DISCONTINUED DRAW: PATIENT ILL AND ADVISED TO RETURN". I have no idea what that was about, but I can only assume the worst. And if so, how sad is it when we can't rely on people in the health system to do what is right and not try to get back at people because they were somehow "slightly inconvenienced". I am thoroughly disappointed in Quest. Something of a similar nature happened last year but I thought it was a fluke, so decided to give them another try. Bad move. read more

Very fast and friendly service. Convenient text check in to speed up the process. I actually liked that this doesn't really quite look like a medical building from outside. The quickest bloodwork appointment I ever had done even though it was for like 12 different lab tests. The lady doing my bloodwork was able to find a vein easily without bruising me which isn't so easy as my veins may tend to "hide" at times. read more

Got there at 7 (opening) for a blood test and waited an hour before giving up and driving to the northwell lab up the block where I was in and out in under 10 minutes. Never will I use quest again for anything since it's obvious they don't staff their locations correctly read more

I love this Quest location. I have been coming here for all of my blood work during pregnancy. The staff is so nice and I am in and out - I always try to get early appointments and have never had an issue waiting. I make an appointment through the app and check in as soon as I pull in. Niro/Nira (sorry, cannot remember her name) is absolutely fantastic! She did both my one hour (failed) and three hour glucose test, which aren't the most pleasant tests - because of her, they went as great as they could! I highly recommend this location! read more

I love the staff at Quest. This one star review is not a reflection on the lab staff. They are courteous efficient and do their job expertly. I make an appointment and I am seen within 10 minutes of that appointment time. They are 5 star. The one star review is for Quests billing company. If you have two insurances this is what you must do to get your bill paid. Give your first insurance at the time of your appointment. When that bill is paid by your primary insurance, Quest will be very nice and send you a bill. Then you the customer must supply to Quest your secondary insurance and then they will bill the second insurance . This must be done for every visit that you have at Quest. The billing company system does not allow them to have more than one insurance per patient. I think the people who run the billing office have forgotten that it is the patients insurance companies and the patients who pay their salaries. Customer service- nonexistent in the billing department. read more

Very disappointing. I made an appointment for a routine test for a background check for clinicals and I was turned away without collection because their "internet was down". They didn't even give me a courtesy phone call and I wasted my entire lunch break for this appointment. I made an appointment tomorrow at another location and I will be calling beforehand to make sure that their internet is working. read more

After waiting 1.25 hours for a 7:30 a.m. scheduled blood test appointment this morning (09/09/15) I was told, "You don't have a scheduled appointment." I read the appointment confirmation code and she repeated, "You don't have a scheduled appointment; she'll call you" (gesturing toward a cubicle). "I'll leave and not come back," I replied, End of story. Overheard while waiting: 1. A customer who had not marked the sign-in sheet that she was scheduled, saying, "I had an appointment," and being told, brusquely: "You have to tell us" (meaning, mark the sheet). 2. Separately, two waiting customers in conversation: "They don't care whether you have an appointment or not . . ." causing me to review the sign-in sheet, only to find that my mark indicating an appointment had been scratched through. This ends what had been comfortable transactions at this location during a +/- 4-year period. The disconnect between automated scheduling devices and the location is reason enough, but the lack of customer service training puts an exclamation point on it. read more

Always make an appointment online. Thankfully my wife and I did that and we were able to skip ahead of everyone else. Their wait times aren't ideal, we waited 30 minutes passed our appointment time. Office is clean, comfortable and parking is best in the am. read more

Yelp has the wrong address for Quest. The lab at 195 E. Main St is not a Quest Lab, it is a North Shore Core Lab, which might be why the other person waited 30 plus minutes passed their appointment time. Went to the Huntington location today, the woman had me wait outside for 10 minutes standing when the whole waiting room was empty because it was her lunch break. There was no reason I couldn't just sit and wait quietly. Upon being allowed In the woman was very rude, pushy, and no matter what question I asked she was not accommodating in any fashion and couldn't answer any questions thoroughly. I Left quest, not going to the Huntington location ever again. read more

The audio responses are difficult to understand and often inappropriate to a question. The frustration level is through the roof. You absolutely can not speak with a live person over the phone, on line scheduling is quite confusing. Have you run away screaming yet? You should. read more
