Went in for a blood draw at 8am. I didn't have an appointment. I signed in on the terminal. The automated system gave me an 8:30 am appointment. I sat down in the waiting room. Within two minutes one of their team members Shanika came and got me. She did the blood draw, and I hardly even felt it. She is a very kind person and a very efficient worker. I was out of the office with everything done by 8:15 am. Overall, a great experience. I'll keep coming here in the future. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Yesterday, I showed up at the wrong time, and their front window was blocked off, making it impossible to speak to anyone for help. I said "Excuse me, can someone help me?" multiple times and was completely ignored. Rude and unprofessional. Today, I came back for a blood test required to continue my PrEP prescription through Mistr. One of the lab techs--an older, light-skinned woman--acted like she couldn't help me because I supposedly had a balance. That's absurd--I was told by my pharmacist at Cone Health that everything was covered when I was receiving PrEP injections from them. Clearly, that was a lie. What makes it worse is that I had a test done at Quest just a few weeks ago for life insurance, and that tech was able to bypass the balance. Same with my last PrEP test 2-3 months ago--there was still a balance, but the lab tech had no issue helping me. So it really felt like she just didn't want to do her job. To top it off, my appointment was at 11:40 AM--close to their lunch break--so it felt like they were rushing me out of there. I told her I'm broke, homeless, living in my car, and I don't have $194.30 to pay. She didn't care. Just kept saying, "It won't let me bypass it," which I know is BS. I pray she never ends up down bad like I am now, because maybe then she'd understand what it's like to need compassion. She was more focused on the money than helping someone who needs medical care. These money-hungry companies have no heart. Now I have to contact Mistr and let them know I couldn't get my bloodwork done. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

This was a horrible experience. Do not go here. The lady working there got there late, didn't let us enter the facility after their opening hours and then proceeded to do nothing in the back for 30 minutes while everyone sat in the waiting room. It was very apparent she was on Drugs or recovering from a nasty hangover from the night before. This employee should be fired immediately. Worst phlebotomy/ lack there of I have experienced. I ended up leaving telling her she needs to do her job after she was extremely rude and had a terrible attitude. Disgraceful for this brand and really shameful this is the service level for tests used in the medical field. read more

It really depends who you get. Shondra is amazingly kind, courteous and professional and she goes the extra mile for her patients.. Sabrina is equally amazing in those areas, just in the opposite way. So a word to the wise: ask for Shonda and wait till she's available. You'll be so glad you did. read more

We were walk ins for a blood test we needed for our company's insurance plan. I mistakenly printed the wrong forms so when we went back she was unable to take our blood because we had not registered appropriately! That was on me. She gave us the phone number to call to get registered. We were able to do this while in the waiting room. The ladies on the phone were so helpful and so friendly! I was provided a testing kit and instructed to call EXAM ONE/Quest Diagnostics to get a special blood test completed. So, I called their office this morning. The attendant told me that someone could come to my house today to do the blood draw at 2:30. At 3:00 when nobody showed up, I called the office and was told that nobody was coming because they didn't do same day appointments. I then asked why they had scheduled my appointment if they don't do same day appointments. The supervisor, Avery, told me that they had a new trainee working the phones when I called. I asked why the trainee didn't have the correct information and training prior to making appointments. He said that is just the way they train people. I find this unacceptable. So, I went to their office. It was sloppy with torn signs on their windows. The phlebotomist who drew my blood sent me out of the office with BLOOD oozing out of my arm. The bandaid was completely saturated with blood. I have never had an experience like this and would never recommend Quest Diagnostics to anybody I know. I am tempted to call the Better Business Bureau. I will certainly report this to the physician who ordered this test and I hope this YELP review gets the word out there. UNACCEPTABLE. While everyone makes mistakes, this was more than a simple error. read more

I've made 2 appointments with them. They cancelled both, and wanted to schedule me out 2 weeks later. They suggested I could come to their office. So I scheduled an appointment for that. I got there 20 minutes early, because I had to drive an hour and 30 minutes to get to their office. I check in, and now I have a 53 minute wait. It's 9 am. While I'm waiting, 2 people come in and they are told they don't test here on Monday's and Friday's. Everyone can have an inconvenient experience. Quest is at 3 with me. They subcontract for an insurance co. who has been professional with excellent customer service. Quest is unprofessional and understaffed, and it shows. read more

Commons Charlotte NC for my son's blood work. We arrived on time and there were people waiting, some of them since 1 pm. A nurse wasn't in a hurry to do anything. It took her more than 20 minutes to draw a blood from a man who was ahead of us. We all listen to much laughing and giggling behind closed doors, some of us commenting that there was a party going. Finally, at 2.43 she called my son's name. There was a stark difference between how she greeted a man ahead of us and my 10 year old son. Very rude and indifferently. My son has an immune deficiency. It means that he has to do many lab work through the year. We used that location before and never had a problem. Today, as soon as he saw her pull out a big needle, he started to panic. He asked her about a butterfly needle, on what she just shrugged her shoulders and said that she didn't know where they were. He started to cry. It irritated her tremendously. She barked that the needle she is going to use was the same size as butterfly needle. I am an adult I can understand that. But he is 10. He can't. Instead of trying to calm him down she threw her gloves into a trash put her hands on her hips and demanded to know what she should do if he is crying. When he saw how brusque and inconsiderable she was he refused to give his arm. She just stood there highly irritated. I was trembling. In all those years we have to do multiple blood works we never met with such a savage nurse. We both left crying that location. HORRIBLE DO NOT COME HERE!!! Parking was good but the customer service is the worst we've ever experienced. On 7/27/20, we met a black phlebotomist with such a bad attitude (it may be due to the fact that we're Asians). She didn't even introduce herself and just said," I don't know how to pronounce your name (my grandma) and demanded paperwork from us. A proper person would've had apologized for not being able to pronounce the name and/or butchering it. She had short hair with an afro and is a pretty tall person. She demanded doctor's order and would not listen to us even though the doctor's order was already sent (confirmed by the doctor), and we even have the order on our phone. She would not even take a look at our phone and kept denying it, so we gave in and called our doctor and told them to fax over the order that was needed one more time. The phlebotomist kept saying she didn't receive it and kicked us out the door waiting around the elevator hallway even though there is a waiting room. A white lady came after us, and she called the lady within a few minutes she was signed in. By the time the white lady was done, she came out and told us that it's almost their lunch time (we had an appointment at 11am, but their lunch time is 12-1) and told us to reschedule until 2:30pm-3:30pm. We don't know if she's doing it on purpose or not due to our race, but we were incredibly angered by that time. We decided to go to another place from the same corporation and was immediately greeted with kindness and warmth. There was no wait time at all, and we were done in no time! I don't understand why the black phlebotomist in the beginning were treating us so terribly as my grandma was literally starving since she couldn't eat breakfast yet she continued to wait for what felt like an eternity. Why do people in the medical field have an attitude towards their people? Shouldn't they be caring for their patients? It may be due to racism, but we are all humans in the end. Overall, horrible customer service; would not be back even for free. read more

Yes, the place is seriously understaffed and my heart goes out to the lovely lady Phlebotomist who is overworked and no doubt underpaid. I didn't catch her name (maybe Katherine?), but she was so wonderful. We had a therapeutic chat as she prepared for my blood test (ordered by my wonderful acupuncturist, Dr. Kim at Evergreen) and the next thing I knew there were 3 or 4 vials of blood which she had carefully capped with the correct colors and had me look at each vial to make sure the correct name and date of birth were on each of them. I've read the other reviews, this woman is not responsible for the way Quest Diagnostics technological system works. We arrived & nobody was in the waiting room. TV said "28 mins" which quickly changed to "13 mins." then kaboom there she was -- sooner than 13 mins. for sure. Any issues folks, blame Quest. I'd go back to just chat with her. . .consider yourself lucky to get a blood test here! read more
