When I walked in, there were 2 people waiting and a guy signing in before me. As soon as I signed in, the 2 patients waiting we're already called in. I had my labs virtually and I was able to send the file to their email. The process was seamless and easy. The place is clean and tidy. The 2 receptionists at the front desk were really helpful, kind, considerate, and accommodating. I've had seen my fair share of dismissive & rude receptionists, that witnessing their interactions with patients is very refreshing. The phlebotomist was also pretty efficient. Overall, the total amount of time I spent from walking in to walking out was about 30mins. Knowing that I was risking it by entering as a walk-in patient, I knew I could walk out if the waiting area looked crowded. Thankfully, that was not the case today!

Technicians should appreciate that some of us find blood drawing stressful and should be receptive to simple requests (for which others have no problem). He was very quick to respond and when I called, he was able to stop by the same day as he was near by. He provided an estimated time and texted me updates when he would arrive. When he arrived, he was well prepared and checked over the test kit and noticed that the mailing bag was missing which I was able to easily find. He was very quick and it was very obvious he has a lot of experience. He explained what the test required running it through a centrifuge before he can mail it to the lab. He was done very quickly and was out the door in only a few minutes. This was so convenient that I plan to check with him for my future lab work.

I was confused because this code does not apply to my situation. I don't have any of the components listed for the billing code. I called their billing department, but they don't have a satisfactory explanation as to why I am being billed this amount. I did some research on this situation. If my test results were good, the doctor didn't make any medical decision. He was supposed to tell me the result by phone free of charge rather than requested a follow-up appointment which costed me $206.

I've been using the Patient First in Annandale now for almost two years now for some routine and urgent care. After having truly awful experiences with a few primary care doctors, and a multitude of misdiagnoses over the year. I've honestly been extremely hesitant about going to doctors regularly, I hate being talked down to, and I dislike how many doctors won't even listen. So I first ended up at Patient First for urgent care. I'd fallen and hit my knee pretty hard so I went to make sure I hadn't broken anything. The experience was positive. There was little to no wait, the receptionist was polite, efficient and helpful and overall the visit went quickly, they were able to do the x-rays on site and I left. Since then I've gone in for multiple issues, everything from my hearing aid tip getting stuck in my ear canal, to pneumonia. Every time my experience has been consistent,. Lovely, sympathetic, front of office staff, little to no wait time in the lobby and doctors who will listen. I've had extremely positive interactions with Dr. Wartenberg specifically. I have high blood pressure anytime I go to the doctor, it's anxiety. He was willing to listen and had them check my blood pressure after giving me time to relax in a quiet room. I've made them my primary care doctor, and I like that I can look up to see what doctors are schedule for specific days. Appointments can take a bit longer if they're really busy, but that's a bit expected given its walk in.

I have a payment plan set-up for the next 12-months to pay it off, but next time just be up front with people. Its a scary time of your life when you are having to get things biopsied and just being frank with people will go a longer way then surprising them with a bill. No more recommendations coming your way.

I explained to the doctor that I have had Cortisone injections for my shoulder issue before and they have no effect on the problem. The doctor knew better and decided I needed a Cortisone injection. The injection was very painful, did not relieve any of my pain and now I am in even more pain. Would not recommend going here for any type of treatment.
