Have ate at Quesada a couple times now, and have always left happy. The burrito's are HUGE and they PACK IT UP with the good stuff (love the pickled onions by the way - you won't see those used at many other places). Warning: if you ask for spicy hot, you will get spicy hot. The quesadilla's are also super tasty (just so you know). I'm pretty sure I'd recommend this place over any other Mexican Fast food joint in Calgary. There is seating inside, not much, but enough :) Also, the staff here are really neighbourly and I like that! Great addition to the downtown core! I'll be back. read more

Great service and always friendly, the store's really clean and reliable. I come here often after work and so far have seen Pawan each time! I appreciate the friendly faces and enthusiasm each employee brings. Foods great but I'm always left feeling hungry even after so I recommend filling up as much as you can! read more

This place only serves only brown rice. Had the chicken burrito. too much lettuce making the food bland. The chicken doesn't have a strong flavor taste like say Chipotle Grill etc. I have mentioned to a colleague from Mexico and he said he doesn't really like this place too much either. Not a big fan. Won't come back. read more

Oh my, how bad can food be... this place. Order messed up, food tasteless, seriously no taste bland as bread and water- wait, actually bread and water have flavour. Ok just bad. Everything about the food here is horrible. Add a touch of food poisoning and we're right about at their skill level. P.s. guac was actually tasty (too bad everything else was tasteless garbage). read more

Store seems to be run by new people. For a Mexican place it has a lot of south asian music playing. They dont seem to load up the ingredients as much as before. Still alright but not as much as the first early experience was read more

Love this place. Lots of toppings and big portions. One of the best burrito places I've ever tried.

I had the Spicy chicken burrito . It was good and worth the money. I would be careful though when ordering. If you say you want all vegetables, watch the guy making it because he will add guacamole on it and not tell you it's an extra charge of .75 cents. When you go to pay for it, the cashier already guesses that there is guacamole on it. Everyone in line was having guac but I never heard anyone ask for it. read more

Just finished my lunch and was far from impressed. I ordered the pulled pork hard taco which had little flavor, the pulled pork was more fat than pork so that went into the trash. Next I dug into my spicy chicken burrito, all I can say is be careful when eating these, not because they are messy but because of the cartilage and bone I bit into. I don't know if they mechanically separate the meat but if someone is physically doing it then they should have their eye's examined. I come from a cooking background so my expectations are fairly high and if you can't even separate meat from bone perhaps a new venture is right for you! I certainly won't ever be back or recommend. read more

Quesada Burritos & Tacos - Bone in the Spicy Chicken next to a black bean for size reference - Mexican Near Me - Calgary, Alberta

Had the Fish Burrito Bowl, and I was pretty pumped about it! Huge slice of fish, and lots of fresh ingredients! I went during the lunch rush, so it was a bit of a line up, but worth it! Prices are ok for the serving size. I will definitely return. (my coworker got the 3 taco deal and was not as pumped as i was - i looked at his when we got back to the office and they were some pretty sad tacos - very empty! I'll probably stick to the burrito bowl!) read more

I wanted to try a new burrito place cuz I was craving burritos and I didn't want to go to Mucho Burrito again so I was scrolling through skip the dishes and came across this place. I have found a Hidden Gem this place absolutely rocks when it comes to food. I got myself a big ass chicken burrito and when they say big ass yeah it's big I did get extra meat so that might have had a little bit to do with it but I can't see it having that much to do with it this thing had to have weighed at least five pounds. And it was a decent price even though there was that much food. I would definitely say give this place a try I am going to be ordering from here again no doubt. read more

To be honest I like the food at Quesada but I had the worst experience with the staff in this branch( 8th street)!!!! The manager( an old guy) literally yelled at me and refrained to give me my wrap because he misheard my order. This was the first time that I had been treated like this here in Canada and this type of behaviour should not be tolerated in my opinion! Worst experience with the customer service during my time in Calgary... read more

I've been back here several times and although I do enjoy it, there are a few things that I would change. I find the meat selection to be decent enough but the chicken seems under seasoned for my taste. The salsas are actually quite good but I wish I could get a little more when getting it with combo w/chips. Aside from that, they keep me coming back. Much better then Mucho Burrito IMO. read more

Food is very good, pricing is ok, service is quite stiff, rushed and unfriendly. Wouldn't kill them to smile once in a while

I came here for the burrito bowl. Just needed a nice quick dinner downtown that's convenient after work for a reasonable price.

I'd like to know what cans they get their sauces out of, so I can avoid ever buying those brands at the grocery store. Guacamole sucked, as did the quesadilla and fish taco. The only thing of the whole meal that was any good was the sour cream. Two thumbs down. Now I have to make myself dinner. read more

I am a big fan of their Lime Fish Tacos! Good place, fresh veg, fast service, good value!

This place is really good and a good value. I like things pretty hot but I think there idea of hot is pretty accurate. I really like that the burritos don't have too much tortilla and have lots of filling instead. Will order from this place again. read more

Went in and was the only customer in the restaurant. The clerk explained the menu and I chose the steak burrito. I asked for a small amount of rice and the clerk gladly obliged me. Had to repeat myself when choosing my toppings, but other than that the whole process was simple. Got home to eat my burrito it had a very waxy taste to it. I assume from the wax wrap around the burrito when they toasted it. Kind of ruined my first experience, but overall the filling is quite hearty and tasty. read more

Great food and fantastic service! After stopping by for a couple of lunches I realized Quesada also offers catering services. We ordered for a monthly team lunch at work for approximately 16 people ... not only was Jay helpful in coordinating the details, when it was delivered he also helped set it up. It's the little details that go such a long way. Not to mention, the feedback I received from my colleagues was that it was best lunch we've ever brought in! It met everyone's needs (vegetarians, meat lovers, gluten free, etc.) Way better than the typical pizza or sandwiches and for a comparable price. It's great to have such good food and service in the neighborhood! Highly recommend this as a large group option. read more

The food is really good - but the staff have me rolling my eyes everytime I have gone there in the past year. I used to go here for lunch quite often when they first opened, as they were very nice and friendly. Now, they never smile and are so cheap with the amount of food they give, whether its a burrito, or salad... and after 2+ years of coming here, I have seen the difference in time. I tried the breakfast burrito the other day with chorizo sausage and the lady had put 7 small pieces (trust me, they were tiny) i the oven to cook, and had only put 5 of the 7 pieces in my burrito. Ummm, ok?? Then she is complaining to ME that the customer before me was commenting on how long the breakfast takes to make there, and was defending herself in saying it is made fresh. It did take 10 mins to make mine, as they do make the eggs fresh, but again - this is a 'fast food' establishment. Food = yum! Staff = 2 thumbs down read more

I Have been back 3 times and the staff are nice, i have tasted the burritos, taco(hard/soft), and the quesadillas. all are great very filling specially the burritos. I go in before and after they busy time and received great service and they stuffed whatever i got with loads of fillers. I especially like their hard taco with spicy chicken, nice crunch and filled with your choices of filling. beats a big mac :D. read more

Do you love Mexican food but not always have time to go to a sit down restaurant? (You can definitely sit at Quesada and eat though if you do have the time!) Are you looking for something quick that is super delicious, healthy, affordable and slightly addictive? Look no further than Quesada, in particular the one on 8th street and 5th Ave. I generally have the Vegetarian Burrito which is only 6.50 and it's delicious you can get so much on it. You can have a whole wheat or white wrap, Brown Rice or white rice, Black or Brown Beans, Mild Medium or Hot Sauce, Dressing (The cilantro lime is my favourite but they have a variety), then you can put corn, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, cilantro, pickled onions,) and you can add really good quality guacamole for only 75 cents (to the burrito, for the tacos it's only 30 cents per taco). At the price of Avocados, this is a really good price for guacamole!! Then they wrap it somehow that makes it easy to eat without being a mess so it's easy to eat anywhere you need to go. I've also had the Fish Tacos which were delicious! The owners are really nice and the director, Jay is a genuinely nice person. He told me the Fish Tacos were what drew him to Quesada as a customer and one of the reasons he believed in starting up his own location (they are that good). Everyone who works there is so nice and genuine and I always feel happy eating the food they make! Try it out, they have Christmas specials on this season. read more
