There are few carpets or soft areas so the acoustics are quite shrill and when they came out to sing happy birthday to a nearby table, it hurt my ears. I'll admit I have been reluctant to try this new location inside a remodeled TGI Fridays because I'd gotten bad service so many times at their D'Iberville location that I'd sworn them off. This is located right on the beach across from the harbor in Long Beach, in an elevated building that has been a few other restaurants over the years. About 3/4 of it is inside seating with a smaller porch/balcony outdoor part that is also air conditioned when they close all the doors. For starters, we got a dozen grilled oysters that had this excellent garlic butter sauce and cheese added. They were average size as you can expect but much better than what we've gotten from Half Shell the past few times we went. We also got the fried alligator bites which were more tender than any gator I've ever had before, and came with an excellent dipping sauce. I ordered the seafood platter for my meal and couldn't finish it. On top of a large bed of french fries were a bunch of shrimp, oysters, hush puppies, and one large catfish filet that was cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the Taste of Acadiana which came with three different cajun staples including gumbo and jambalaya. I sampled some of hers and really liked them all. We ordered chicken tenders and fries and a Tequila's burger. The burger was loaded with cheese, poblano peppers, pico, and mojo sauce. The brioche bun it was served on was nice as well.
