Very likable cafe for breakfast or lunch. Went twice and tried different things - they feature both Mexican and American food, and seem to have a good handle on both. Plus, their coffee is very good. Starving the second visit so I went with the pancakes, eggs, steak and fruit. Didn't even do coffee this time, as I had come pre-caffeinated. I ordered the eggs poached, as I often do when also having pancakes. Happily, the poached eggs were perfect, allowing them to cascade down the side of some of the pancakes. The pancakes themselves had a good bounce to them, but were not rubbery. In fact, they had an enviable balance of soft yet still solid and just thick enough. The steak was good -- a bit more gristly than my earlier visit (in a different dish). The fruit was fresh and refreshing. The first visit I enjoyed the coffee, then a Mexican dish. Rancheros with Flank Steak strips. This was served with scrambled eggs, and is another hearty and utterly tasty entree. The steak strips were nicely seasoned and easily to cut through and chew. I also really liked this dish. We tried the banana bread on our second visit. It was OK, if a bit dry. Service was good, friendly and it's lovely to look up and see what's happening outside of this corner cafe.

You'd think the customer is always right in this instance but no not here. I got the chilaquiles but on the menu it didn't not say it had sour cream. I don't like sour cream when they brought it out and I told them the guy just said let me tell the chef if we can change it. Came back and said no that he would have to make a whole new one. What if I was allergic? I don't know stuff like that just left me super upset not only was I trying to take off the sour cream I was forced to eat it , cause what else? What I supposed to not eat? Or they wanted me to pay another dish. That to me wasn't great customer service whatsoever. WILL NOT BE BACK!!!
I found this place while searching for breakfast/lunch locations on Yelp. I saw they had an horchata espresso (two of my favorite things) so I knew I had to try this place. The horchata espresso was very good. I thought it was more on the horchata side than the espresso side in terms of taste, but to someone who doesn't drink coffee (my father), the espresso was very noticeable. I ordered the avocado toast and it was really delicious. The multigrain bread wasn't hard like a sourdough bread would be so it was very easy to bite into. The sauce wasn't too spicy and added a tang to the avocado toast. The handful of fries was also a nice touch! We had to wait a bit for our food to arrive because it was busy, and the location is small, but I definitely recommend checking it out.

Discovered this small, quaint restaurant at the end of Quinta Avenida away from the center. When there's a line then they must be doing something good. Really chill bohemian vibe. The food is the star of the show. The menu offers a huge variety even the most picky eater in your group can find something here. I ordered: Chilaquiles - this is so authentic tasting, the black beans was flavorful, the salsa is fresh, eggs properly cooked. I like my tortillas to be slightly soft after soaking up all the good sauce. Cafe America- fresh and strong. Come here and you will not be disappointed. Just be warned this is very popular, so I advise to come before 0900 so you don't have to wait too long.

Location: 5 Avenida Staff: friendly, helpful and fast Parking: none Seating: outdoor (gets crowded, we arrived @8:30am) Taste: had the avocado toast but replaced pooched eggs with sunny side up. Was not my fave but average. Kids had sunny side up eggs and they love it. Waffles they loved. Torta was also average. Drinks: horchata was delish. Horchata espresso was delish!!! Especially with the heat the refreshing coffee and sweet water was a hit.
Visited Que Huevos while on vacation in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Looked it up via Google and Yelp and the reviews and pictures looked good. I had the French Toast with eggs and bacon the first visit. Then the Mega Breakfast (Pancakes, eggs, black beans, flank steak, and fruit cup). Food was very tasty. I will start with the one thing that made me deduct a star. The eggs were not prepared the way I asked for them. I asked for eggs scrambled soft. The first time they were brown. When they were re-cooked they were better. The next day the same thing happened. I was disappointed especially because the name of the restaurant is Que HUEVOS. You can't mess up the huevos when it is your name. Now for the the good stuff. That French Toast was beyond amazing. The flavor, the texture, the crispy outer texture and the perfectly cooked inner texture. All I can say is WOW. The bacon was crispy and good. Wish there was more. The flank speak was tender and flavorful and cooked just right. I could cut it with my fork. The black beans would have been good on their own. They complimented the meal perfectly. The Pancakes were good, they had a hint of cinnamon and were fluffy. The fruit cup was fresh and juicy. All in all I enjoyed this spot. I woke definitely visit again when in this part of Mexico.
Delicious fresh breakfast with lots of vegan and vegetarian dishes can't beat a good delicious breakfast with plant based milks you won't regret it!
This is a wonderful place on 5th to grab breakfast. The service is wonderful!!! I love the chilaquiles rojos. So delicious!!! If you visit Playa make sure to stop here for some great food!!!
I ordered the egg and longaniza tacos. I found the tortillas to be very dry, seemingly not very fresh. The egg and longaniza mixture was fine. It was not particularly flavorful. The service was also extremely slow.

I was a bit skeptical because it's located on the busiest streets in Playa Del Carmen. The food is very much Mexican style with a fancy flare...may be considered boutique-ish without the price and attitude. I ordered the Chilaquiles Divorciados. A mix of red and green chile and 2 eggs. They were outstanding and I highly recommend.
Not bad, I like the fresh grapefruit juice. The Benedict didn't wow me and for 145 pesos I expected more than just what's in the photo. Good wifi for work though.

This place was very close to our hotel! The service is amazing and was able to accommodate a large group of us! They have a mix of Mexican and American classic breakfast foods! Their smoothies and bowls are so refreshing! read more

This restaurant is close to my hotel. My waitress suggested avocado toast which is pretty filling. It's served with black beans, fries and a hot sauce. I couldn't finish it. The coffee is good quality. While they don't have half and half, they gave me a side of milk. I asked for a coffee refill from a waitress that was going by. My waitress didn't come to check on me. I didn't get the refill so I got up to ask for it. One other waitress was nice to bring me a glass of water with ice. I didn't have to buy a bottle of water. And I don't have Moctezuma's revenge as I write this so the water with ice was filtered. read more
If you're reading this, you can stop your search now: you found it. Yes, this is easily the best breakfast spot on Playa Del Carmen. Located a bit east on la quinta, your hungover mornings could probably use the long walk to get out here. Past all the vendors and street hustlers: this restaurant sticks out like a bohemian cafe on the outskirts of the tourist mecca that is Playa Del Carmen. The first thing you'll notice walking up is the large sign: Que Heuvos! Immediately foreshadowing what this place is all about. The eggs here are all perfect, whether you want a healthy omelette or served estrellado. Personally I like my eggs a bit runny to mix with everything else on my plate. And the eggs here are perfectly paired with several options of vegetables, potatoes, meats, and cheeses. Add-on items are only like $1, so I recommend to spoil yourself with a whopping serving of eggs here at least once during your stay. Exceptional breakfast!! Everything was perfectly cooked and made to our liking. French toast is incredible. Omelet was amazing.. Chorizo as a side is must do, If you were having eggs of any kind. Fresh homemade waters were unique and refreshing. Loved the Grange's! Will definitely be back On our next visit, if not before we leave this trip! read more
Walked along the Avenue and saw how this place was pretty packed and Yelp had good reviews for this place so we went ahead and tried Que Huevos! What we got: Rojo y Verde Chilaquiles Huevos Revueltos a la Mexicana con chorizo Agua de Melon Jugo de Naranja Everything was decent. The best dish would be the chilaquiles I had that was a combination or their red and green sauce even though the eggs were still a bit undercooked to my liking- the white still had runny parts. The music provided by the street performers helped give the place a chill vibe read more

Came across this restaurant on our way to the shopping area. It's a little further away so it's not as noisy and busy. The food is good and the service is great. They have food options for everyone; locals and tourists. I got the egg and chorizo tacos and grapefruit juice on the side. I really enjoyed it. read more

When we first got there I was disappointed since everything we asked for they were out of. Especially the Horchata Espresso, they ran out of Horchata. Then I asked for Tacos De Huevo with Longaniza but they were also out of that, they then told us they were also out of fresh fruit. Maybe our fault for getting there about 11:45am .. I wanted to leave but my wife convinced me to say. I'm glad she did. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious!!! I had the Huevos Motuleños. They were awesome . We all had a great breakfast. We want to definitely go back and hopefully I get to try their Espresso Horchata which sounds delicious. read more

Nice place for breakfast! Good selections- fresh juice, egg dishes, and shakes! Good coffee! Wonderful staffs, everyone is attentive, and the customers all seem very relax and enjoy their meal away from the crowded side of 5th avenue, togged in this greenish trees, dried coconut leaves tops, large umbrellas. Nice and cool. Highly recommend! The breakfast burrito, fluffy egg, with their hot sauce is very good, forgot to take a picture just eat it all! read more
