You spend $10 buying a tile to decorate that will get hung in the bathroom. Super gay, you paint the tile in the most rainbow fashion possible. Once you complete your tile & turn it in, the next time you come in, you're given your tile back with a note that's supposed to be from the owner, saying your tile has been ruined & they're "sorry". Amazingly...that note was written in handwriting that's not the owner but seems very similar to another bartender. If I'm wrong....please let me know. Do I get my money back? Do you ignore what happened? Do you ignore the amazingly strange occurrence re: perceived homophobic behavior? I tried to bring it up with the bartender on duty (& remedy the situation before coming to Facebook) and was told "NO WAY that could be true." This has gone from being one of my favorite places to something that brings me heartbreak At this point, it's 0/10 WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND!!!! Essentially it's some old buses set up with a crappy stage in between with an assortment of beaten down couches and chairs for the audience to sit on. There isn't always a set schedule, and basically anyone could get up on that stage to play: so the performers can range from really good to absolutely terrible. But that's really not the point. At the heart of The Slabs, this is where you'll get to see a gathering of some quite interesting folks. They'll be people cracked out, some dancing with no cares in the world, others playing with fire. People that come here just are who they are, no matter the opinions of the outside world. It's a reflection of a very eclectic group of folks. So go enjoy yourself, but expect some interesting things out there. P.S.
