They are TVs showing traditional games and plenty of seating at the bar as well as outside of the bar. The restrooms are typical of the pubs, very small with tiny sinks, so be prepared. I would consider this another traditional pub, with a twist of Americano and European . I can certainly understand that they would be busy on popular nights if not most nights, and the ambience would be loud but expect greatness from this place

I was finishing up a call with friends I was giving directions to and it was cold outside. I wouldn't mind but I was in the pub for less than 5 seconds! I'm not a child, I'm 44 years old. I was popping in for a pint with friends not to talk on the phone. Couldn't believe how I was treated. I've never had that happen anywhere in any country I've been. I love Ireland and I really loved Cobh, but the rude old boy behind the bar left a bad taste.

He brought us over a bag of chips(crisps) just for the heck of it! When it comes to the real deal in Irish pubs, this is it! It is on East Beach Rd. east of Casement Square…read more Danny is the owner and he and his regulars are the friendliest group we met in Ireland, which is a very friendly country! The Pub has so much history. The walls are filled with newspaper articles from different eras. A survivor of the Titanic came in until she died at the age of 96. The bar was actually "won" by an American in a Guinness contest, who then old it to Danny and his late wife Anne Marie. We stopped in for one pint and stayed for hours. Our only regret is that we found Connie Doolan's on our last day in Cobh. Go your first day so you can return!!

COBH'S LUSITANIA MONUMENT Harbour town Cobh is full of…read morestatues and memories and one of its most famous sculptures is the Lusitania Monument in Casement Square. The large work, by sculptor Jerome Connor, is in memory of those lost (1200 people) when the Cunard liner was sunk by U-20 on 7th May, 1915, off the Old Head of Kinsale. The liner was heading for Cobh and it was to here that some of the recovered bodies were brought, some to be buried here. Casement Square is nowadays a popular spot to sit out during the summer, the memorial providing a little shade. Every now and then though, a thought for those caught up in the past tragedy passes through like a cloud, just as it does when lying in the sun on the beaches of Normandy.

The sauce was a creamy tomato sauce which both myself and hubs thought was delicious. It also came with garlic bread which was yummy. He had the fish and chips and thought both were much better than his other attempt at this meal. We'd come back again.
