I got laid off in December 2022, it's been 8 months and I still have not found work. I'm almost depressed about it, I have no money whatsoever :( One of the lady's that works there, didn't get the name. She was either Chaney Cox or Danielle Biggs, anyways they set me up with an interview for today Monday, August 14. I live about 40 miles away from their office, I got to the office 15 min before my scheduled interview. Once there, I was turned away for not having a second form of an ID. She told me she couldn't even sit down with me because of this. She gave me major attitude and told me to come back another time. As I walked back to my car, I couldn't help but cry. It took me over an hour to get there and her face showed no sympathy. I cried in my car out of frustration before heading back home. I hope this office trains their staff on how to treat people. I wish I can give this company a zero. I worked for this company for 2 weeks before they gave me the boot because I wasn't a right fit. What that actually meant was the receptionist before me didn't end up moving like she originally planned and Chaney (the office manager) needed an excuse to get rid of me. There is no learning curve and no growth whatsoever. When she let me go she told me "you will be my priority, I will find you a job I promise" we are in May and I never got an email, call or text. They told me they had a receptionist position available and after I emailed them to let them know I was interested I never heard back from them. Second time around, they scheduled me to go in to register with them. I had to reschedule and I let them know in advanced. While I agree people need to do their own work to find work, the whole reasoning for going to a staffing agency is for help. Finding a job isn't as easy as it sounds. Applications, phone calls, requirements; finding a job IS a full-time job; especially in this economy, no matter your qualifications. I went to Quantum Staffing for some help in finding work. Don't get me wrong, they are a friendly group of people with smiles and kindness. But they also tend to forget your existence. For example, all the "we'll contact you in a few days," and "we are eager for you to come in for this job, we'll call you next week," leads to an empty inbox and zero phone calls and e-mails. I've attempted to contact them several times and have had to set up my own appointments and interviews. All 2 of them. For me, it seems like they're not eager to work with me. I understand there may not be many opportunities I qualify for, thus the reason they haven't set me up with a job, but a little contact would be nice. Just returning my phone calls and e-mails for updates would be nice as well. But, I've simply just disappeared. It really wasn't what I expected. Since applying through them, I've received weird phone calls and e-mails from other recruiters and businesses; ones I've never associated myself with. It could just be a coincidence, so I won't jump to conclusions, but it was still odd. Anyway, if you feel like adding on to your full-time job of looking for a job, go for it. You'll have to do all the work and make all the phone calls and appointments yourself, even interviews, IF they return your messages. But hey, that's just been my experience. Job Seekers Beware!! There is an individual by the name of Sarah Henderson who is using this company name to send out fraudulant job postings requiring a credit report from freecreditreport.com. When I attempted to contact Quantum Staffing which is located at the address above they had no idea who this person was and they do not service the Long Beach CA area. The staff was very nice about the incident and they are taking action to try to find out who is doing this. As I have not worked with these people it is difficult to rate them on their professionalism, however, the fact that they are taking action to try to apprehend the person responsible for this is encouraging.
