The person that answers the phone at 661-294-9045 was very condescending and sarcastic. I was calling for Terra but she decided to take my call. She was so So unprofessional, not helpful at all. I noticed who I was dealing with within the first 10 seconds of the call. Very disappointing, I lost 5 minutes of my previous time. I already have a full time job, the only reason I called was because Terra emailed me with a match position in my area. Too bad this person answered the phone. I'm very happy that I took the time to apply for work at Barrington Staff. I was hesitant at first, seeing all the negative reviews but I must say they took exactly two weeks from the day I interview and tested to find me a position. And let me say what a great position! Excellent pay, nice environment great job! Far pass any expectations I had. Even though it's just a temp position, I'm hoping it turns into a permanent job. Where I currently work, I am not the only employee that was referred by Barrington Staffing. There is also another employee who working for Barrington Staff and is now a full time employee where I work. Thank you Barrington Staff in Valencia for this great opportunity. Note: Its best to call atleast once or twice a week so they remember you so when a position comes in they have you fresh in their minds. If you're looking for a job, absolutely look for another staffing agency. They assisted in getting me one interview (which was a no-go because of my school schedule), but after that they NEVER returned my phone calls. I called and emailed them multiple times throughout a span of about three weeks - I called regarding the fact that there was a job opening that I was highly qualified for, I called to follow up on my interview, I called to request my testing scores since I was going through another agency and preferred not to take three hours worth of testing a second time (as the second agency suggested that I do) - but not once did they return a single one of my phone calls or emails. As a previous reviewer said, they truly are the WORST agency you could choose. Honestly, if they cannot even return a simple phone call or an email, how on earth are they going to help you find employment? Don't waste your time here. EDIT: I was finally able to reach them when they answered the phone (for once). They claimed that I told them that I did not want to work full time, which is untrue as I was looking for a F/T job, and I told them so. I said that I had seen an ad that fit my exact job experience and wanted to go about setting up an interview. They asked me what my availability was and I told them I had a completely open schedule until the last week of August as I would be continuing school in the fall. I was informed that because I did not know my school schedule, starting in three months, they would not submit my resume or testing scores. Not only are they refusing to do their job as a staffing agency, but they took away that employer's choice to even see my resume as a highly qualified applicant. Barrington provides awful service, and if they treat all of their clients like this - as the two filtered, but accurate reviews confirm, I can't imagine that anybody is able to find a job through them. Take a look at the filtered reviews as they are seemingly filtered for no reason at all. The only positive review on here is from a Barrington Staffing Services employee. read more

Terra is a horrible person she doesn't care about anybody hang up when she answers the phone because she doesn't give a shit about finding you a job. She was rude when I picked up the phone and just didn't show any interest in working with me. Which sucks for most people for people that really need it. The first time I went there the people were kind and seemed like they really cared. They made me register online at their computers and interviewed me. I thought it was strange that they never tested me for Word, Excel, typing, and so on. It ended with them giving me their business card and telling me to call every week. I call every week and check in. I've been doing this for four months until one day they told me they can't give me a job since I have never taken the Word, Excel, typing, and so on. I told them I will take it and they said they will contact me when they need me to take it. This place is a joke! I have registered for three other temp agency and they made you take the test at the spot. I don't even think they care about you! I'm not too sure where the other review went, but the one who reviewed it works at the office. Of course, she will think the best of her job!!! read more

Debbie is just plain rude and grumpy. I entered and said hello to her and she just sat in her chair staring at her computer screen and completely unacknowledged me. Three minutes later she tells me to sit. This was my first time at a staffing place so I didn't know what the process was like but she didn't bother explaining a single thing. So after all my testing I was pretty confused, thankfully Terra was able to explain everything to me. I have worked with this agency, for over 20 years, and have been very happy with them. They found me my last three temp to perm jobs, and due to a layoff, they are currently working with me to find me another one, while in the meantime, placing me on short term temp assignments when available. Terra and her team are always so pleasant, and very helpful, and their continued professionalism is why I haven't or care to use another agency. This is a very busy office, many calls in and out, and internal office interviews, so a delay in getting back to you immediately, is understandable when it happens. It takes the responsibility of the applicant also, to make sure effort to communicate availability to them, and follow up is done either by phone or email, making it easier for possible placement. Remember, you are not their only client. They are good in remembering you and what your needs are, and will contact you when a position is available.
