BEWARE!!!! We had this company come out to diagnose our…read moremicrowave issue but didn't even pull out the microwave to properly diagnose. He told us we needed an inverter which would cost $700-$800 and to contact him if we decide to proceed with the parts. We paid him for his initial diagnosis & later called him to proceed with the repairs. He wouldn't return our phone calls and still hasn't to this day. We had to contact another repair company who properly diagnosed the issue as a burnt out door fuse for less than half the cost of what Jay's Appliance Service quoted us. Jay's Appliance scammed us out of our initial payment thus we strongly recommend NOT to use this repair company!!!!

DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!…read more We had him come out on June 25th to look at both of our dishwashers that were not working. He said one was a pump and one was the main electrical board. Quoted us $700-$800 to fix both and asked for a $225 deposit. Paid him. He said he would order the parts and get back to us in a couple weeks. His return would depend on part availability. Understandable. No follow up, no communication until August 8th when I messaged him for an update. Was told he had a death in the family but would check on our parts the next day and get back to me. No answer, no response. My husband started texting him mid September. He said he had Covid but he would check on parts and get back to us. Eventually, he stopped responding to my husband's daily follow up. Three months and absolutely nothing done. I messaged him and asked him to refund my deposit. No answer. Do not waste your money or your time. Other reviews state this is a cycle of behaviour.

I thought I would write an additional review for my sibling who's review got buried…read more Check in = $30 off your repair! :) I booked an appointment last week for a tech to come in. I called using the Yelp page, which I think is the easiest way to contact them. I believe their number is incorrect if you simply google them. However, it is correct here! The woman I spoke with on the phone was personable and ensured we had our appointment made. We had John come in to fix our Dishwasher and Oven. He did an awesome job and everything was fixed in no time. I'm very glad that everything was sorted out all in one night. I was super worried that it would be something unfixable. It came out to be about $600 for both appliances to be fixed. Very reasonable when you consider the cost of replacement! I would definitely recommend GoTech to anyone!

He fully explained what caused the leak and what the repair would cost. As the part needed to be ordered he rescheduled the return visit. We had to reschedule once due to a problem on our end and Dennis was very accommodating. Dennis went above and beyond in following up and in accommodating our schedule in order to complete the repair. We were extremely happy with his service and would have no problem recommending GoTech to others! The are definitely now our go-to company for appliance repair.

AWFUL when you call "Quick Fix Appliances" the actually send out Paramount Appliance Repair which…read moreis deceitful in the beginning if you are checking reviews. Person who came to my house was extremely rude. I was quoted $474 plus GST to replace the bellow on my washing machine. When I asked why it was so much as a neighbor just did hers and cost her 200 he said the part itself retails for 300.00 and it is a difficult labour intensive part to replace. I went to Amre Supply in Edmonton purchased the part for $130.00. I had a friend who had no previous knowledge of washing machines watch a five minute Youtube video and was able to change the part in under twenty minutes. Was not impressed whatsoever with this place and would not recommend to anyone!!!!!

Called this company specifically to check if they serviced Thermador ranges as my oven had…read morecompletely died. Was told yes and they sent a technician the next day. He had absolutely no clue of how to even open the top of the range. In the end, decided it could be any of 3 various parts including an $800 motherboard and approximately $450 of labour. Here's the catch, we would also have to pay 20% to restock the parts if they didn't end up working. And he needed to charge us $150 for a 'key' to open the range. Supposedly a Thermador repair person? I think not. I told him to go and paid $84 for the 'service call'. Emailed the company to complain about the lack of knowledge and didn't even get a response. In the end, had a real Thermador repair company (whose technician was an absolute professional) come in. It was the motherboard and it cost $600 for the part and $200 for the labour. $1,400 vs $800 for the same job!! They preordered the parts and fixed it same day. No restocking fees due to lack of expertise. They also fixed the reassembly of the stove top that had been incorrectly done by the Paramount technician and could have damaged the burners as they were far over tightened. Very disappointing. If you don't have expertise, you should point the customer in the right direction rather than attempt to take advantage of the situation.
