I called to make an appointment for 2:15pm for my very sick elderly dog I was running late for my appointment because they relocated to exit 118. I stated to the receptionist that I thought it was the other animal hospital that was calling me. I never stated that I was at another animal hospital. I asked if the hospital my dog had an appointment was the ext going towards Middletown I stated that I was going to be running late. The receptionist hung up on me and never tried to call back. I called back several times and they kept sending me to voicemail. Very unprofessional my dog is very ill and you would think that this is an animal hospital they would be nice and kind. read more

WORST SERVICE EVERRRR!!! Not only is their staff arrogant and condescending, but they are incredibly lazy and rude. The front desk staff requires a customer service class. They care more about receiving a check and clocking out from a shift, than the actual care for their patients. Took custody of my MIL dog on March 5 . I Called these people for her records on March 6 to take to my veterinarian. Her appointment was March 16 at 9:30.They told me 48 hrs. I called after 3 days, they told me 72 hrs. I called a week later. They were snarky at dismissive. I called the day before. I called on March 16 and again talked to "Jen" who just isn't nice and should probably not be answering the phone, clearly she doesn't care about speaking to people with respect or doing what is required. I was in an exam room with our dog and still has not received the records we had been requesting for 10 days. As a result it cost a lot more money. You guys should be ashamed. Terrible! this vet did my pup's spay and a few days after the procedure the incision burst open leaving a gaping wound. The office is a dump...dingy walls and floor, the parking lot is shot out and full of potholes. They we're so jumpy to close up shop they actually met me at the door and thrust the dog into my arms and closed up shop. no cone, no collar, no post op instructions. The appt was pre-arranged by the dog rescue group so this is not my personal vet but I sure would NOT choose this group if I needed a vet!!!! read more

Do not recommend at all. Dirty, the office staff are lazy and rude. Money hungry way to expensive had me wait with my sick dog for 45 minutes before anyone came in. Not to mention a complete misdiagnosis. Wanted to charge me $3000 to put her under to do a skin biopsy at 12 years old without ever doing blood work. No bedside manner at all. This place should be shut down. Scott Quick is a horrible Vet and should have his license barred.Do yourself a favor and steer clear. Slow lazy and horribly incompetent. read more

This vet is terrible. I'm not getting into details, but spare yourself and your pet the headaches. This guy misdiagnosed my pet, charged me 60% more than cost of the medicine he prescribed, and by luck I figured out a week later what the actual issue is and now have to find a real vet who can actually help. This isn't the first time I've had issues with this vet overcharging and not actually doing anything helpful, but this is the last time. I'm never overpaying for inappropriate medication for a misdiagnosis again. read more

Incompetent, money hungry, rude and uncaring. Scott Quick must have bought his degree online because he misdiagnosed our cat's x-ray showing she had cancer. He actually wanted to do dental work which she didn't need but would have charged $$$$ for. Another veterinarian looked at the x-ray Quick took and immediately diagnosed a cancerous mass which he completely missed. The vet tech also easily identified the mass which was confirmed on a new x-ray. The other vet said her teeth were fine. Our cat had to be put down as there was nothing to do for her at that point. I sent him an email telling him what happened and how he misdiagnosed our cat and that she had to be euthanized. This incompetent didn't even have the decency to respond to say he was sorry we lost her or that he made a mistake. We would give this uncaring hack zero stars like other reviewers said. If you care about your cat or dog go somewhere else. read more

Staff said it was a free checkup , they would let me know what she needed & charge according. Well they said she had fleas & possible ear infection or ear mites . When they came back out with a $200 bill I just knew my mother wasn't going to want to cover that for a kitten I found outside & wanted to help. I asked if they would do a payment plan and was told no. I left it at that & left my kitten there . They just posted on their fb page how they do payment plans . I said oh nice but you couldn't do one for me. They comment back that that's not how it went & then blocked me from the page. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Do not recommend!!!! read more

Dr. Quick misdiagnosed ringworm, a highly contagious fungal infection on our newly adopted kitten. He also missed that she had a massive systemic infection causing her cornea to rupture. He treated the eye condition, failing to diagnose the underlying cause. He never did any blood test! What kind of vet doesn't do a baseline blood test for a kitten from a shelter? He failed our entire family - not only did the ringworm spread to our other pets, but to our children! In addition, we brought our other cat in for diarrhea and the office has no records! Even though we were told the stool sample was negative for parasites and the cause for the stomach upset was probably due to roaming feral cats outside our windows, really??? I would not recommend! Completely incompetent. Update: our newly adopted kitten also tested positive for herpes virus, chlamydia and mycoplasma! Which are contagious to our other cat. If Dr. Quick had just done the proper diagnostic tests early on I wouldn't be writing this review. He should not be practicing veterinarian medicine! read more

Does not do full exams, even if the fee is paid. Staff is money hungry, and rushed. They don't spend the time with the pet like Rock Hill does. They aren't very clean plus are infested with fleas. Make sure IF you decide to use this vet (I don't recommend), that your fur baby is protected! Will NOT be going back! I'm still fighting the fleas. How do I know it was from this vet? They were itching the moment they came out, not before. They were perfectly clean! At home, I sadly took it as just a reaction to the shot.. I was so wrong. DO NOT GO HERE. Dr. Quick and his staff have always gone out of their way to care for our Snowflake, Gato and "Kitten." His staff is well-trained and compassionate. Dr. Quick himself has gone above and beyond the call of duty. One late night Snowflake began to bleed from someplace where she should not have been bleeding and I called Dr. Quick. The answering service passed the message onto him and he called us back immediately. As it turns out, he was within minutes of arriving home over an hour away and in spite of that, he turned around and sped back to meet us at the office. He took care of Snowflake. If that isn't dedication, then I don't know what is. Even off-duty, he acts as if he is on-duty. One time we were in a local market shopping and passed him and his family. One of our pets was having an issue earlier that week which he was made aware of. So, there in the market, on his personal time, he starts inquiring as to the status of our little beastie to make sure he was alright. Dr. Quick is one of those doctors who looks upon his patients as if they were his children, I think, based on how he has interacted with our pets AND he truly cares about all animals. I can't count the number of times he has taken in strays, injured animals off the street, dropped off by concerned citizens, etc, and nursed them back to health, sometimes asking for help but always bringing the animals back to health if possible. What sort of doctor does that? A REAL DOCTOR. And there you have it. I am sure there are other caring vets in the area but as for me and my wife, we would not trust out little Snowflake, our Gato or our "Kitten" with any other doctor. read more

Like other reviewers, was not happy with the price. Twice as much as other vets. And very surprising was how run down the building is and the rooms are musty and very old. The vet was nice enough, but the conditions and price will keep me looking for another vet for my many pets. read more

C.B. I am sorry you had such a bad experience in 2012. The practice at that time was Petcare Animal Hospital. But has since been bought and the old doctors are no longer working here. The practice was bought in April 2013, and the name was changed to Quality Pet Care. The two doctors that were there were let go and they have no affiliation to the current hospital. read more

I wish I could share the great experiences that others have shared but mine took a turn for the worst! February 2020 we brought 4 parakeets from Petco Middletown, this past June we brought our birds in to get their wings clipped because we notice they were starting to fly. Upon scheduling their appointments on 6/8/20 we were told to bring them in at 4:00pm, at around 3:00pm we receive a phone call from quality pet care inquiring if we were still planning on bringing them in? Our response???? If you want us to bring them early we can, we only live a couple a minutes away, quality pet care response.....NO! Your appointment was at such and such time. At the end of their visit my husband & I paid $400 (New patients, wing clip and nails). Sunday, 7/5/20 all 4 birds flew outside of our home. We caught 3 but 1 of them flew a 100 yards away from the house (It seemed that they fly better now then when we initially brought them in). About 4:40pm today we call quality pet care to address our concerns and they implied that we have to bring them in to get their wings clipped again. Hmmmm wait, you mean to tell me we spent $400 on 6/8/20 to schedule another appointment to have their wings clipped again? Does that make any sense, so of course I popped off!!!!!!!!! The reasons we brought them in to begin with was to clip their wings. So how is it just a month later they have to get re-clipped? My question, let me speak to the doctor who can make an executive decision, quality care response.....? They hung up on me twice. It's now 6:30pm no call from the doctor or quality pet care! Pilau is what we refer to poor service!!!! A ole pilikia!!!!! The sad thing is they received payment in full (CASH) and I guess we as consumers have to suck it up. Dr. Quick and his staff, especially Rachel, are absolutely amazing. They have been nothing but extremely helpful, even when I'm the over anxious bunny mom who thinks everything is a disaster. He very knowledgeable and has always had both my bunnies best interests at heart. Unlike most vets in the area (where I've had to tell them how quickly a simple issue can kill a bunny) he is always quick to tell me to bring them in right away. When my boy passed a month ago I called to let them know and again had they nothing but kind words and sympathy for me. They genuinely care about your pets and their crazy fur parents. read more

My wife brought in a beautiful 6 week old kitten last Friday that had been salivating and wasn't eating. She said the kitten was acting strangely and a little aggressive in Dr. Quick's office. My wife is already a worry wart and a nervous person. I can't understand why this vet automatically believes the kitten should be quarantined just because it was salivating, (which can be attributed to about 12 different other reasons than rabies.) and probably acting strangely because it was scared because it is in a different environment than it is used to. Why would this vet rush to such a doom and gloom prognosis? The ingredients for this fiasco were all there. My wife is a nervous worry wart person already to begin with, and Dr Quick was apparently more concerned about losing his license for letting her walk out of his office with a potentially rabid 8 week old kitten. I am not a vet, but it's common sense that a 8 week old kitten is not rabid because it is salivating. The health department even said that it is extremely rare for a kitten to contract rabies and my wife's stomach sank after she heard this information from them. This vet's stoking my wife's insecurities and doubts (since she is already a nervous person) to the point of putting this innocent animals life to an end makes me sick because it was so wrong and undeserved. All the ingredients were there for this poor animal to face a totally senseless death sentence. And I really have my doubts as to how much Dr. Quick really cared about putting the animals life to an end and the empathy that he really has. I'm sure Dr. Quick is reading this with hubris saying to himself, "who is this guy writing what I did was wrong?" Well.. YOU WERE WRONG, and everyone I've talked to has agreed with me. Before you are so "Quick" as your name so appropriately fits you, to take out the needle to euthanize, USE SOME COMMON SENSE!!!" I WOULD GIVE YOU NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD!!! I called several time for an estimate on my baby cat neuter and front declaw and never had a call back. Only call me for appointment confirmation on 2 revisit for allergy's on my baby cat eyes and submitted 1ST BENADYL THEN THE 2ND VISIT another # 4 antibiotic on her eyes???? when finally I called on the day before and spoke to a manager it was 275-375? then when my husband took my cat next mourning they told HIM 800.00? or more?? it was a mistake??? well they wanted to put shots she already had ?????record provided on her 1st appointment and a misc. charge chit? with what permission?? ALL my pets are INDOOR..... that's was not even ask to us to do. BAD MANAGEMENT to the tech and I feel sorry for DR Scott Quick always busy with rude staff. Well this proved all the negative things I read about them, a confirm reality check to bring My baby cat with my other 5 pets to another vet on that day. They didn't even care...I don't trust them and of cause the name change of practice don't help. This office proved to care about making money first. Your pets come second if you are lucky. We brought our dog, Togo to this clinic, which I was bringing my other dog and three cats to on a regular basis. DVM Scott Quick examined Togo and decided to keep him in the office until he gets better. Togo had fever 106, salivating and had all signs of distress. We were told that he should get better. In four hours we received a phone call and were told to come and pick up our dog. He was getting worse. They gave us no recommendations on what we should do next, Doctor did not even come out to talk to us. We drove our dog to the hospital, but it was already too late. He was put to sleep two days later. Had we brought him right away, we could of safe his life. DVM, Scott Quick knew that Togo was in septic shock and needed immediate critical care, but he kept him in the office to make sure the bill can be justified. He is not equipped to deal with sick animals. He charged us $600.00 for his unprofessional and inferior to veterinary standards service. If anyone will consider to go to his office, please, read reviews. They all not good. After what happened I transferred care for my animals to a different veterinary clinic. read more
