I had to come back several times for the condition and they could not have been nicer to me. Seeing doctor Simpson was very easy and she is a really great doctor. They treated us as I would imagine you do family in tough situations like this. So I took one him there and I told them in advance I knew it was not ringworm as I've seen that before. I provided a sample to be tested to determine if it was a fungus or not. They examined the cat and took the sample to the tune of $134 and called two days later to tell me that it was not ringworm. I already knew that. When I challenged them that I already knew that and specifically had told them it wasn't ringworm, the receptionist was completely useless. Total waste of money. Then I reached out on a cat Facebook page and someone asked if my cat fights with other cats, which he does sometimes. She said that it's probably a scab from a scratch. The more I looked at it.....she was right. That's exactly what it was. It is ridiculous that this vet was not able to ascertain that.

This week we went with a newly adopted dog so we could get her microchipped and have her Rabies vaccine done. For some reason, even though the first shelter the dog was in had "spayed female" on the paperwork, the lack of a spay date made the person signing in our dog suspect that she was not spayed. Do yourself a big favor and bring in spay documents if you have them. If you look at our dog's abdomen, there is a spay scar. We had to have bloodwork done to the tune of $40 because they did not want to give her a rabies vaccine because there was no date of a heartworm test on the shelter paperwork either. The shelter had the dog on heart-worm preventative and flea and tick meds. We needed a form filled out so we could apply for a Lifetime PA dog license since she was now microchipped. This was a $15 fee but it saved us gas and a trip to our vet which I guess is fair but it literally took two minutes to fill out. I did end up paying close to $300 for everything. Finally, I had to wait several minutes to get the rabies certificate filled out. During that time I noticed a board with rebate information. I was surprised that the clerk who we paid made absolutely no mention of the rebate I could request for the flea and tick meds we purchased. What surprised me even more is that when I went on line to do the rebate, T.A.R.A. was not on the list of participating veterinarians who sell the product. I had to add them on manually. All this being said, the veterinarian and the tech who took care of our dog was very nice.

He said, " please don't say I am sorry to my patient for me doing my job, it puts negative energy in the air, we want positive energy" He was clipping the nails in front of me which caused me to have some anxiety, he says," don't let your anxiety run all over the floor"! Very insensitive. He then continued to repeat that he did not like me saying sorry to my pet throughout the whole visit, meanwhile he cut too far into the nail and 2 nails were bleeding and says they can't afford to loose blood... well maybe he should have looked at the kwik prior to cutting it?! They gave us a quote for the final step. We made an appt and when we got there it was the worse! They upgraded the charge to almost double, The Dr who was there was great. After all was complete we left! Today they call and we can pick up the remains. My husband goes to pick her up and they won't release because he's not on the list! This is HORRIBLE ... he was the one who took her to all her appts they know him but yet wouldn't release her. I had to make a call to get her released. I'm DISGUSTED WITH HOW THIS HOSPITAL HAS GONE DOWN HILL WITH COMPASSION. They would always release her to my husband when she was alive and he "wasn't on the list"!!! JUST DISGUSTING!!!!!
