Ever wish you remembered to read yelp reviews before booking a reservation? Well, I sorta paid for my oversight with this one. The room was dated - which would not have been an issue being that this is a value motel. But it didn't seem clean. Armchair was worn and sunken. Bathtub was stained, bedding was worn. Y'know it's kinda bad when you are hesitant to lay anything on the floor or even on the armchair or bed. I put all my things on the desk and made sure whatever food I had leftover was wrapped well before trashing it so bugs wouldn't be attracted. The electrical outlet by the bed was wonky - it sparked a bit when I plugged in my phone charger so I plugged it in elsewhere. So, oddly enough it seemed like the room was in the process of being renovated - it had a granite bathroom counter and LVP flooring. All that aside...the common grounds were well-manicured. The pool, firepit, volleyball court & outdoor seating areas were inviting. Front desk people were friendly. Breakfast was standard American continental fare. read more

We stayed in Richmond Hill, GA last evening. This was the most disgusting room (163) we have ever had. It was dirty and the air smelled so bad of mold and urine that it actually made our nostrils sting. We both woke up with congestion and burning throats. There was water puddles near the window I don't know if there is a leak but that room should not be allowed to be rented out until the issues are addressed. We have used Quality Inn in the past but in the future I will have to personally inspect before committing. $80.60 is highway robbery for such a room. read more

Hotels along I95 from Jacksonville north are always full. So call ahead if you are passing through or stop early. 11pm we started looking for Hotels. We were finding every exit everthing was booked. We even called 1800 numbers for Hotels trying to find somewhere to stay. Out of desperation we stopped here. I had to take a benadryl to breath. The room was dirty, Dusty and a broken pipe along the base board. There was a roach on the shower curtain and in themiddle of the night a roach on the ceiling. I would sleep in my car before sleeping here. read more

BEWARE! STAY AWAY!! DIRTY! DISGUSTING! 0 STAR We booked 2 rooms as we were meeting friends for the night. The rooms were disgusting! It was so bad our friends ended up leaving early. Management should be ashamed of how DIRTY and awful this quality inn was. There was dirt all over the floor, the toilet had a ring of dirty crap in it, the bathtub looks like it was NEVER CLEANED. Unfortunately we arrived exhausted at 2am after driving for 5 hours and could not cancel or find another place to stay nearby. To top it off at 4am someone was banging on our door. This woke up our 7m old and my 4 year old was scared. The banging continued until my husband finally got up to go answer the door. A HOOKER was at our door asking if she had the right room! The photos online are a LIE, the place is old and sketchy. We should have just slept in the car. I've never in my life have stayed in such a disgusting place. My skin is crawling just thinking about it. read more

I have come to expect more from the Quality Inn brand. Needless to say we were disappointed with the outdated accommodations at this location. Leading up to our stay at Quality Inn, we had a 14 Hour drive from Ohio. I was really looking forward to staying in three-star accommodations. Thank goodness this room only cost me $45, because one-star accommodations were all we got. First of all, when I realized that our drive was taking longer than expected due to construction and weather, I called the office and let them know that I was not going to be arriving until about 3 o'clock in the morning. The woman on the phone was very nice and told me she would let the night guy know. However, when I arrived, he had no idea I was coming and had canceled my reservation. He was a bit snide about my tardiness (sorry I can't control the weather or construction across 5 states), but ended up giving me a room. When I told him we had a dog, he got upset that he had given me the room he had given me, and took another 10 minutes to give me a "dog friendly" room. We ended up getting to the room at 4 o'clock. To start off with, the door to the room was bent, making it difficult to both open and close. In order to lock it, you definitely had to put a hip and some muscle into it. Also, the air conditioning was set to 61. My five-year-old and I froze for the first half-hour and tell the room warmed up. Unfortunately, having the room at a livable temperature meant it then became very humid. Personally, I feel that a three-star establishment should provide a dehumidifier if that is an issue. The bedding and flooring were fine, but the flatscreen TV had been removed from the wall brackets and set on the dresser. It was still functional, but The residual brackets on the wall were an eyesore. The bathroom was unacceptable. The low flush toilet could not dish out what my three sons handed it. Also, the ceiling was leaking from the bathroom above, and chunks of paint and plaster we're hanging down. The tile was dated, and the grout needed a good scrubbing (or a re-grouting). Since my room was on the unsecured back of the establishment, even though I am a woman who checked in by myself, I never saw the pool area. I know that I was relegated to that back area because I had a dog, but that is not what I consider "pet-friendly". Having traveled extensively with Pets, being in this back room felt more like I was being housed with my pet as opposed to my pet being housed with me. read more

My wife and I were looking for a pet friendly motel in Richmond Hill. This place showed up on Hotels.com at 3 stars and a $41.00 rate. Sounded okay just to get some sleep. When we checked in, the rate was $62.00 plus a $10.00 pet fee. Due to being worn out, I went ahead and paid the extra charges. When we drove around back, there was a beat up pickup truck with two "ladies" talking to their "manager". Fortunately, they and their vehicle left shortly thereafter and the rest of the night was quiet. The room was clean but the beds were worn out. There was spackling on several areas of the walls that looked like a child had put it on. The toilet kept you wondering if it was going to flush. (It did but I've never seen one act like that!) Bottom line, we won't stay there again. Lesson learned. read more

If I can give it a negative star I would. The first thing I see is the first time I check into my room is a puddle of dog P under a chair and multiple dead roaches in the floor along with a dead spider. It made me worry that they didn't do a good job cleaning the entire room at all as I open the guestbook and found roach droppings all over the pages. I am absolutely disgusted that was the grossest room I've ever seen. Thankfully they gave me the upgraded me to a new room and I'm hoping it's better than the last. read more

Super easy check in and check out. Not a great hotel - very old (and it shows its age.) it's better to stay on weekdays rather than weekends, crowded with weird people on weekends because it's attached to a dive bar masked as a wings restaurant. (Snazzy's isn't very snazzy.) The pool is fun! We had a room with one king size bed and while it had its flaws (mostly to being an older building) like no easily accessible plugs, and the room that they serve breakfast in looks like the ceiling could fall in at any moment. Breakfast consists of coffee (regular cream and sugar only), Sunny D, yogurt, bread to toast, milk, three different types of cereal, oatmeal packs, and a waffle maker. They also had a couple of apples and oranges. They had a buffet style set up with sausage, eggs, biscuits, and sausage gravy - but I don't recommend it. The staff kept the room clean promptly each day and were always very kind and accommodating! The fridge in the room didn't work as well as I hoped it would, it kept things cold, but as cold as you would like to keep items such as dairy products. Overall - we didn't have a bad stay at all, you definitely get what you pay for though! read more

Can I give less than 1 star? Do not stay at this hotel. My husband and I had been driving all day and needed a place to sleep. I found this hotel online and called to make sure they had a room. I told the man on the phone that I saw online that they were running a special for $40 for a king room and asked if that was correct. He said yes. I then told him we would be there a little after midnight and he said that would be okay as well. When we arrived at 12:30, all the lights in the awnings were flickering like a horror movie. That should have been our first clue, but we were exhausted. When we approached the front desk, the man behind the counter was sleeping in a chair. We had to ring the bell to wake him up. Seriously? I explained that I had called earlier and spoke with him and reiterated the $40 room. He then told me that the room was $48. I understand it's only $8 but still. Because it was after midnight, the rate had changed. This is why I had called earlier, but he did not seem to care. He then said he could give me a rate of $44. Are we haggling now? We agreed because I just wanted to sleep. He was rude and I am thankful we did not have to deal with him again. We took our room key and headed to our room. There were people in lawn chairs sitting outside their doors, which made me wonder. The room was clean-ish but very dilapidated. I am not confident that the door even locked. And the light switch next to the door was from the 50s. It made me wonder if it was a fire hazard. The curtains were falling down and we had to move a lamp to hold them closed. The bed creaked when we laid down, but exhaustion took over. As soon as we woke up we hurried to check out. The woman at the front desk was much more pleasant. This shows that you get what you pay for. I would NEVER enter this hotel again. I probably will never stay at a Quality Inn again either. read more

We booked this quickly on line while on the road so we couldn't get out money back. The good news was the staff. They were very friendly and accommodating as we switched our room twice. The first room smelled like wet dog and the smoke detector was hanging off the wall by a wire. The second room, I pulled back the sheet and found a live bug. Not sure if it was a bed bug or a flea. The third room -- we made do. The paint on the wall was peeling and the door while fastened and locked still didn't close flush. Internet, while available was so slow, I gave up. I took the runner off of the bed and decided to use the comforter over the sheets (I think everyone pretty much knows hotels don't wash the comforters) but I found something crusty and brown on the bed my young son and I shared, so I stripped the bed of that too, & we shared his star wars blanket. The pool had weird black / green stuff in it growing on the walls. There were a lot of people smoking and drinking by the pool. I enjoy my adult time too-- just mentioning this because we were traveling with two small kids. Breakfast was good and included but we made sure to check reviews on the way back to avoid any such places. Again -- the staff was very nice -- the owners need to invest more in the property. read more

After staying a full night. I must give proper credit to the ladies who work there through the night and in the morning. The maintenance of the place may not have been up to my standards. But the southern cooking didn't disappoint! There was a huge spread of eggs, sausage, grits, biscuits, gravy, waffles, and much more. Everything was delicious. If I could give this hotel negative stars I surely would. The hotel is less than conditional, the rooms are dirty and there is definitely an issue with the sewer, drainage and cleanliness. My troubles began when I noticed the fridge in my room being inoperable; after calling and alerting the front desk the maintenance guy arrived at the room chewing with a mouth full of food, looked at the fridge and asked if I wanted to move?, I asked did the hotel have another fridge that he could switch as I had already unpacked my baggage, he left and returned with another fridge. Cool! Problem solved...NOT/NOPE!! After taking a shower I noticed that the severely chipped glazed tub wouldn't drain properly and the toilet either. AGAIN....I called the front desk, the same maintenance guy came back with a drainage snake; after approx. 15 mins, he tells me he can't fix the problem and I should move to another room. After, going back and forth with the front desk attendant regarding the issue, I was told I would be placed in another room to meet my needs. I returned to the original room to gather and move my belongings and was met with horror with the condition the maintenance guy had left the room's restroom in. WATER, PISS AND FECES all over the floor and in the toilet, I was more than disgusted. I went immediately to the front desk made the attendant aware of the issue who went on to explain that the maintenance guy was the owners' cousin/nephew..... who the hell cares, what does that have to do with anything, I asked the front desk attendant about an inconvenience fee, she called the manager (Sarah Smith) whom was off duty, but called the owner whom I was told lives on site but even with notification still neglected to be present to see what was going on however, stated that he would discuss the matter with me in the morning. In the morning I was told by the manager I would receive a 50% refund on the previous day and no more and that the owner would probably reject that offer, so I should take it, she too began to tell me the maintenance guy is actually the owner's cousin or nephew and how Choice Hotels won't help the owner remodel or fix the property, so he has to do it slowly and it's a $100k at a time, Yadda, Yadda, Yadda... I felt with ALL that I had seen, experienced and been exposed too, the previous entire day should have been refunded, the manager advise me that she would convey my concerns with the owner. The latter part of the afternoon the owner did eventually come to my room and explain that he was refunding 50% and no more, as I chose to discuss and voice the issue and concerns that I had, he with his coffee in tow waived his hand in the air and walked off. I stood there looking like "What just happened?" Rude, unmoved and uncaring. If I weren't traveling with a group I would have left this hell-hole. The room I was switched to was met reeking of cigarette smoke, black mold and rust. The pool was clearly not running on an adequate filtration system nor does anyone clean the debris/trash from it. There is black gook along the sides of the walls and once I witnessed what was going on I quickly got the hell out the pool. Summary, The owner, nor Choice Hotels cares about this particular property or its customer's DON'T STAY HERE!!!!! read more

Clearly this motel is being renovated slowly so I will let some issues go. The staff was fantastic, friendly and always greeted us. We requested a room away from the road and were situated inside the area with the pool. It was not noisy at all. There were three rooms used for our traveling party on this night. All were clearly recently renovated. The areas that were skimped were the toilets. The work was shoddy and the tub and toilet came over on the mayflower. The shower head upgrade was nice and the extended curtain hanger kept the small tub from making me claustrophobic. Several walls had chipped paint and water stains that indicated there were some still existing issues someone just covered up and walked away from. We checked the beds for bedbugs and all we found was some fresh mouse turds between the headboard and the mattresses in one room. The rooms were actually pretty clean otherwise. We ate at the recently opened Sassy's since it was close and I have a weakness for boobs and beer. That was a pretty decent experience as well. Look for that review under my profile as this one is on the motel. The continental breakfast was by far the worst I have EVER had in in my lifetime! You are issued tickets to gain entry, but don't worry, no one will ask for them... It was staffed by two women, one was caring to the front of the house, the other in the kitchen. Both were effectively disengaged. We had to tell her there were no plates. No one was refilling the only things you could eat (yogurt, doughnuts, cereal). The only items that were good were the items made off site. The runny eggs, charcoal briquette sausage patties, over done buscuits, and cold lumpy sausage gravy left us wishing we had gone to a Waffle House. Seriously - if I owned this motel, the manager who was responsible to training these two and making sure my guests had a good experience would be fired. Bottom line - decent renovations under way - eat breakfast elsewhere... Please use the buttons below to rate my review! Feedback is appreciated! read more

Left this motel because we were placed in a pet room although we do not have pets and told the front desk lady twice that we did not have pets. Got to our room, it was missing a drawer but had a nice tv and the world's smallest microwave (it works though). Got under the sheets looking to turn in and found a flea on my arm. I then noticed more fleas on my shoes and clothes. Man at front desk was understanding and said we should not have been placed there because we don't have pets and had to call someone to see what to do. They said they couldn't refund us but we wouldn't be charged. Nice TV and staff won them two stars. read more

This place wanted like $67 for a saturday night, luckily we found a coupon for $36 for the night in a free hotel coupon book. This hotel was worth NO MORE than $36. The lady at the front desk was not nice. She obviously did not know that when you work the front desk and deal with customers you're supposed to say goodbye and thank you for calling when ending a phone conversation, but she just hangs up. We got a nonsmoking room but we walked in and immediately smelled smoke. It wasn't completely overwhelming but it was noticeable. The beds were uncomfortable and the bed runners were frayed and barely hanging onto the bed. The pool was nice, 8ft at its deepest, but it felt like lukewarm bath water so I opted to not go swimming. The rooms are around a courtyard where sound carries and there was a family out in the middle yelling and talking loudly until after 2am so it kept me up. We didn't try the food because we opted to go into Savannah for dinner. We were about 20 minutes from the historical district of Savannah so it was a little farther than I was expecting. I would never stay here again and do not reccomend paying a penny over $36, totally not worth it. But you get what you pay for, but if you pay full price (around $67) you will be highly disappointed. read more

This has to be the worst room ever. We were driving from Disney World back home to North Carolina when we just couldn't drive anymore. I've never had a bad experience at Quality Inn until last night. The door had been busted open, who knows how many times. Part of the lock was missing, but the holes that once held screws were still there! It smelled like mold & there was a lot of mold growing on the bathroom ceiling. The carpet was absolutely filthy. There's no way I'd walk on it without shoes. There was an electrical box laying on the floor with a lamp plugged into it. The drapes & bedspread were all wrinkled like they'd been stored in a garbage bag for years in someone's attic, & they smelled as bad as they looked. Once you got into the bathroom you had to force the door shut with force because it was too big. It made a loud noise as it scraped across the floor. There's a hole in the wall bar next door which probably explains the yelling at 1am. I had my children with me, 6 & 8 year old, & I was actually afraid. My husband told me that he was sorry, but he couldn't drive anymore & he fell asleep. We paid $80 to stay there. I took shirts & used them over the pillowcases. Oh, I forgot about the gnats. One landed on the sink the next morning. Please don't stay here! I learned a valuable lesson, read reviews before you rent a room. From the front of the building you wouldn't expect the rooms to be in such terrible condition. We left bright & early! I washed the kids hands & walked them out the door like zombies so they didn't touch anything. read more

Disgusting! It looks nice from the outside. But beware! The bed WAS clean. There were holes in the walls. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the place opened. The shower curtain had mold all over it. It sounded like we had left the door open because all you could hear was the highway traffic. So, I have to preface this-I am a total hotel snob. I live for nice hotels. This was not one of those places. BUT!! My husband and I were trying to get home after evacuating from hurricane Irma. This Quality Inn was one of the only places we could find. The woman that checked us in was kind and patient since we were delirious after covering 350 miles in 12 hours. The bed was comfortable and clean. The room was old but well equipped. This hotel was pet friendly with a fee but they were kind enough to waive that fee given our circumstances. They kept their rates fair even though so many surrounding places were taking advantage of the millions of people in a bad situation. If you just want the pros/cons scroll to the bottom. Before I discuss this motel I want to put out trip into perspective. We were looking for a place to stay in the Savannah area on our way to Florida. It was my wife and I and out two girls aged 7 yrs and 10 months. My parents were accompanying us as we had a nice suite booked in Florida and invited them along since we would have extra beds/room anyway. My dad chose this place. I wanted to stay somewhere in town but relented since it was a one night stop off anyway. I saw the reviews on here and was concerned going in. I was not let down. In short, this was obviously the best party around in a small area off I 95 in the middle of nowhere pretty much. We arrived on a Sunday evening 6/30. The "restaurant" was a VERY ACTIVE BAR AND LOUNGE. Upon arrival there were three police cruisers and multiple cops present making check-in difficult. I have traveled extensively over the years and immediately realized my concerns were going to be validated. The kid wanted to go to the pool because it was a hot day and they were dirty and sweaty and ready to get wet. It was around 7pm. At the pool, the sign was posted no outside food or drinks, and so I poured out my large cup of Mountain Dew I had brought with me at the gate. However, I eventually realized that the pool is shared with the bar, many of the patrons were bringing alcohol and glass to the pool and there were ash trays all around as the entire pool area was clearly a designated smoking area. There is one single cabana style area at the pool. I think it was placed over what was once a hot tub. There were multiple ashtrays around it too. So with the kids, that was a no go. There were a lot of young people and other there who clearly were living there. It was clear this places doubles as the only "decent" low income housing in the area. This was the local party place and if you are traveling alone and looking for that or if you want a cheap motel to take a cheap date, or a college kid looking to waste a place and not be bothered this is the place for you. For what it's worth The rooms were horrible. It was clear this area had been flooded before and there were signs of extensive and ongoing structural issues. The carpet was absolutely nasty, but I laid a blanket in it and slept there anyway. I couldn't use the bed. I am 215 lbs. when I laid on the bed, I immediately sunk through the inner spring mattress and hit the box frame. The location is pretty good there are multiple restaurants in the area that don't show up on Google maps too. The best one is a Fudrucker's one block up the road. However, there are multiple hotels on this exit too. Pros: There is a Fudruckers on this exit that doesn't show up on Google Maps Low Price Large TV Cons: This is clearly the local Party Place The rooms are obviously used like old school Domino's (30 minutes or less) The motel is used for local housing for low income people (weekly renters) NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY Heavy police activity on weekends in the evenings according to locals. Beds are worn beyond practical usage. SMOKING, ALCOHOL AND GLASS PERMITTED AT THE POOL AREA. (Have you ever seen a drunk person drop their drink? If they are drunk and mobile, it will happen. But this time,it is a glass, it is on concrete and everyone else is barefoot.) Lax or ineffective management. In short, if you are looking to party all night and don't care about anything else, this is the place for you. If you are traveling for leisure, are tired from the road, or are traveling with small children, PLEASE STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

The room I was switched too was met reeking of cigarette smoke, black mold and rust. The pool was clearly not running on an adequate filtration system nor does anyone clean the debris/trash from it. There is black gook along the sides of the walls and once I witnessed what was going on I quickly got the hell out the pool. Don't go here! Even sleeping in your car would be better! The place stinks, literally. Half the stuff doesn't work - like lights, toilet, and air conditioner. Has bugs. Went to manager who refunded us our money, but then the next day get a call from the hotel saying that we were being charged for the hotel room because we were there for less than 1/2 an hour. Told them of our multiple complaints again, was told too bad and charged for the room! They will ripp you off. They don't care about the customer at all! read more
