After the ceiling fell on my head, I had absolutely no assistance from the personnel.

DO NOT stay here, your life literally depends on it! When the ceiling fell on my head, I received absolutely no assistance and I had to call 911 myself and have yet to hear from the hotel owners.

I booked a room through Priceline for an uninhabitable hotel that had black mold in the ice machine and did not have an operative Fire Life System and no front lobby even built out!

Entrance to check in. Not sign!

Don't stay here. The worst!!!! And unsafe! The rooms were in a different building across the parking lot

    Dirty door

Gross. The main check in building was exceptionally dirty and falling apart. Went into the building that was being renovated. Dirty stinky and gross. Staying because we are stuck. The toilet rocked when you sat on it, the sink in the bathroom sprayed all over the sink and you if you turned it on too high. My 18 year old son refused to sleep under the sheets. He was grossed out. Didnt try the breakfast, wouldent want to eat anything from here.

The cashier lent me 4 quarters for the lockers. I felt bad, but then she said they just come back out of the locker- I didn't feel bad anymore. The female only area had a sign for no cell phones. I decided to follow the intent of the sign, but still took my cell phone into the lounge area because I really wanted to read and my books are all on my phone. I did turn off my ringer so it wouldn't bother anyone else. The hot pool was magnificent I loved it. I loved how hot the water was. And that textiles were optional, after living in Europe. I loved the lounging area after coming out of the hot pool and feeling like a million dollars as my heart rate slowed down. The shared outdoor pool was just meh. I got a little chilly lying out and got a mosquito bite so reverted back to the private area again. Overall- I'd go back for the private pool. I could leave the big one.

But after we returned from dinner, it was apparent from near continuous barking that the guest next door had left their dog in the room unattended. When I walked down to the front desk and said "Hello!" a couple times to notify them of the problem, no one responded. I wasn't the only guest to notice the barking. There was another man in the hall who told me he'd tried to contact someone at the front desk with no luck. I went back to my room and plugged in the phone, intending to dial 0. The front desk rang me instead. When I told the attendant there was a dog alone and barking in the room next door, she said the owners were in the spa so they were on the premises, and leaving the dog in the room under those circumstances complied with hotel policy. I hung up at that point, since it was clear no one was going to contact the owners and the dog would continue to bark. Hotel policy says no unattended dogs in a room *without any exceptions stated*, or you'll be asked to leave and no refund given. Why is it ok to do this under any circumstances, in a complete lack of consideration of all other guests? This is the last time I ever stay at an Econolodge anywhere.

We've been…read moreto "luxury" cabins in the past where the dishes, towels, sheets, etc. felt like discarded mismatches from the owner's primary residence. By contrast, our cabin had matching dish sets, glass sets, wine glasses, towels, sheets, etc. etc. There was nothing lacking, at all. There was even a nice tote bag full of newspapers to start the fire pit, and a ziploc bag of matches in the side pouch. They thought of everything! Details - there was an oven, stove top, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, dryer and really nice grill on the front porch. The bed was high quality (my back lets me know if not). The location is beautiful. It's only a couple of minutes from downtown Pagosa but feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. It's surrounded by horse farms and we saw plenty of deer walking around the area, including right in front of our cabin one morning! This is the best of both worlds, run by the owner so it has that personal touch, but in a very professional manner. There were also none of those annoying add-ons like a cleaning fee, security deposit, etc. that surprise you at the end of the booking. The advertised price is truly what you pay (plus taxes of course). Thank you Jennifer for making our stay wonderful. This will be our weekend getaway go to place from now on.

My wife Renae and I escaped the desert to attend a car show in Pagosa Springs (a GREAT car show, by the way!) and needed a place to stay. There is not enough room in this review to tell you how perfect our stay was! Angie greeted us upon our arrival and showed us our "Cabin". We stayed in "The Peaks" and if you are thinking these are rustic old cabins, think again! These are finely crafted homes with every amenity you would ever need! The furnishings and décor are first rate and give that "Colorado" mountain feel that we were looking for. They have a washing machine and dryer, full size refrigerator, full size stove and oven and all of the necessary dinnerware and utensils needed (including wine glasses!) if you choose to stay secluded for a week and cook your own meals. The bed was super comfy and there is even a whirlpool tub to relax in at the end of the day! The cabins are QUITE and make you feel as though you are 10 miles from anywhere with incredible sweeping views of the Continental Divide. The amazing thing is that these cabins are literally 2 minutes from downtown Pagosa Springs! You are that close to restaurants and activities! And when you are done you are moments from your tranquil oasis! We will DEFINITELY stay here again! On a side note - Renae and I are both photographers and I made a point of getting up at 3:00am to photograph the Milky Way. The stars and Milky Way are the most vivid and bright we have ever seen! As I said, I could go on and on about our stay but suffice it to say that Angie and Ken are the best hosts ever and The Cabins at Hartland Ranch are simply amazing. Don't even hesitate - just book your stay right now!
