The location was amazing! Cheapest hotel in the area! Parking space. The coffee shop was closed…read moremost of the time we were there but it's busy! There was drip coffee available for us though. Greg the owner is around most mornings so it was nice to say hi! I love the Malin goetz products and love that it's regular size so I don't feel bad using small travel size. It's right in the middle everything. There was one bike and I used it to go down to Jacksonville beach. Walls are kinda thin. Our room was the bunk bed which was neat to have for a few days. Fridge space was perfect. We removed the drinks and placed them back. All the drinks and snacks were priced so I appreciated the transparency. My sheets felt damp so I think we shouldn't have turned off the ac as the area is foggy/damp. Really great stay.

Hotel Palms is my favorite place to spend my Saturday or Sunday morning. Every weekend Show Pigeon…read moreCoffee is at the bar and makes the most delicious coffee beverages. There are 4 drinks that stay consistent and a different "wild card". I personally love to always try the wild card- I love trying new things. Jaime, the barista/crafts(wo)man is magic at what she does. My favorite item on the menu is the Smoking Bee, especially during the hot summers in Florida. It is a jazzed up sparking americano with a wonderful hint of orange... don't knock it til you try it. I also recommend you try the Leche de Tigre with the infamous "buzz button". If you've never had one before be prepared for an acid trip in your mouth... it's the most insane sensation (10/10). Lastly, the atmosphere is what really makes this place. Everyone is so friendly and great to hangout with! I've never had a bad experience here and I really don't think it's possible. Plus it's dog friendly!!!!

Apparently this property changed hands soon after we made online reservations. No advertised…read moreamenities were available: the breakfast we paid for did not exist, nor did coffee, tea, bottled water or coffeemakers in the room. The bath towels were barely bigger than a hand towel, and there was no housekeeping service available, not even for more towels. There were no washcloths, no Kleenex, one plastic cup. The first night, a busy Saturday night, I was kept awake by the sounds of trucks and motorcycles roaring by. The only positives were that the room was clean, and the location was a quick walk to the charming Atlantic Beach downtown. The bed and pillows were terrible - lumpy, uncomfortable and old. Making it worse was that the office was only open from 10-5, and we had prearranged tours booked that precluded us from being at the hotel during those hours. We paid for 3 nights at the wildly exorbitant rate of $300/night, but checked out after 2 sleepless nights. My written complaints to the manager (we checked out before 10:00) went unanswered.

Salt Air Inn and Suites was one of a few hotels suggested by our local friends (Jacksonville Beach)…read moreto stay at for their wedding on Ponte Vedra Beach. This was the site of their post-wedding Sunday pool brunch. They had reserved the hotel's entire fenced-in pool area for the brunch, which is one big reason I think they chose this place. We had a great time. According to Salt Air's website (https://www.visitsaltair.com/about.html), this hotel was originally built in 1946 as the Salt Air Motel. It definitely has that older motel feel, which I can actually find to be appealing. Also according to the site, the hotel was rebuilt in 2022, which makes sense. The whole property felt updated and refreshed to me. It's not a big place, sandwiched in between a McDonald's and the Hotel Palms. Parking is somewhat limited. When we first arrived, I accidentally parked at the Hotel Palms thinking it was Salt Air. They both have similar old-school motel vibes, but modernized to be more chic (Hotel Palms especially so). Hotel Palms was built only a year after Salt Air, in 1947. However, unlike Salt Air, Hotel Palms does not have a pool. They do have a cool little coffee shop though, which we visited. It's called Show Pigeon Coffee. If you're staying at Salt Air, it's definitely worth walking next door to check it out. The Sunday pool brunch ended promptly at 1pm so the hotel could clean the rooms and common areas in preparation for the next batch of guests. I liked the low-key, retro atmosphere of Salt Air. From/to Jacksonville International Airport, I would plan for about a 45-minute drive each way due to traffic. Salt Air is only a few blocks away from the beach.

We had a King room on 6th with balcony overlooking the water....do NOT book over the pool…read more No robes, scarce coffee, $18 for mediocre breakfast, $18 to park in their lot; no safe, sheets did not fit bed and kept popping off, had to request room refresh then wasn't done. Breakfast recommendation is Le Petite Paris Cafe right down the road for awesome Quiche's, croissants, coffees and really LOVELY people. Beach was kept clean but was dog-friendly so you had to watch your step due to inconsiderate owners. Probably won't stay again unless I end up at the Mayo Clinic.

We ate breakfast on the balcony every morning and watched and listened to the waves crashing. We stayed 3 nights. The staff was welcoming from the beginning to the end. For example, I called the office for an extra pillow or two, and they were sent up within 5 minutes! Great service here. I loved the desk setup for doing makeup and taking my meds. There was plenty of room to store everything in its place. Our room was very clean and spacious. It was well equipped with bathroom necessities as well as living room. Having a microwave was such a help also for heating up meals that we online ordered. There were many photo ops indoors and out. The pool looked beautiful but the weather changed to cold so we didn't get to use it or the whirlpool. We look forward to returning next year and staying here again.

The location is perfect as well, right on the beach with amazing views. Lily was our server and she was great. I came with friends and their kids and our kids were being a little rowdy but Lily and the rest of the staff were patient with them and even entertained them. Amazing service! The food was decent, not the best but good bar type food. I got the Caribbean salad with grilled shrimp because I got it with the chicken last time and didn't like that it was cold. The dressing was a little too sweet and amount too much on the salad so will get dressing on the side next time.

The hotel was clean and the people who work there were very nice. The only thing I found a little unusual was they did not have anyone to help carry your luggage. They had carts available but you had to load the cart and take the luggage to your room for yourself. I am aware that not all hotels offer this service but I have stayed at the Margaritaville in Hollywood where they do assist with this. Other than that, it was a great time staying there. The room was very pretty and the restaurants in the hotel were nice as well.
