Not ocean front, but ocean view and it was beautiful. The one major disappointment was the bathroom. It's very small. Shower door opens and hits bathroom door. Water pressure and temperature of hot water was poor. Otherwise I had a wonderful weekend stay. The pool is beautiful and heated. There's an amazing patio area by pool and outside the bar with ocean view. Walk to the ocean is very quick, and I highly recommend catching a sunrise.

Fridge space was perfect. We removed the drinks and placed them back. All the drinks and snacks were priced so I appreciated the transparency. My sheets felt damp so I think we shouldn't have turned off the ac as the area is foggy/damp. Really great stay.

There are 4 drinks that stay consistent and a different "wild card". I personally love to always try the wild card- I love trying new things. Jaime, the barista/crafts(wo)man is magic at what she does. My favorite item on the menu is the Smoking Bee, especially during the hot summers in Florida. It is a jazzed up sparking americano with a wonderful hint of orange... don't knock it til you try it. I also recommend you try the Leche de Tigre with the infamous "buzz button". If you've never had one before be prepared for an acid trip in your mouth... it's the most insane sensation (10/10). Lastly, the atmosphere is what really makes this place. Everyone is so friendly and great to hangout with! I've never had a bad experience here and I really don't think it's possible. Plus it's dog friendly!!!!

This was the site of their post-wedding Sunday pool brunch. They had reserved the hotel's entire fenced-in pool area for the brunch, which is one big reason I think they chose this place. We had a great time. According to Salt Air's website (https://www.visitsaltair.com/about.html), this hotel was originally built in 1946 as the Salt Air Motel. It definitely has that older motel feel, which I can actually find to be appealing. Also according to the site, the hotel was rebuilt in 2022, which makes sense. The whole property felt updated and refreshed to me. It's not a big place, sandwiched in between a McDonald's and the Hotel Palms. Parking is somewhat limited. When we first arrived, I accidentally parked at the Hotel Palms thinking it was Salt Air. They both have similar old-school motel vibes, but modernized to be more chic (Hotel Palms especially so). Hotel Palms was built only a year after Salt Air, in 1947. However, unlike Salt Air, Hotel Palms does not have a pool. They do have a cool little coffee shop though, which we visited. It's called Show Pigeon Coffee. If you're staying at Salt Air, it's definitely worth walking next door to check it out. The Sunday pool brunch ended promptly at 1pm so the hotel could clean the rooms and common areas in preparation for the next batch of guests. I liked the low-key, retro atmosphere of Salt Air. From/to Jacksonville International Airport, I would plan for about a 45-minute drive each way due to traffic. Salt Air is only a few blocks away from the beach.

It was gorgeous and super clean. I was able to find parking easily. The bed was comfy. I like that I can control the A/C or heat by remote. The bathroom was spacious as well. They have nice touches like a small bowl of candy and a cool guestbook. I like that the do not disturb signs are magnet and go with the theme. I didn't try the pool because it was chilly out. There is a great bbq place two doors down and it's not too far of a walk from the beach and other restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this place!!

I realized the…read moremistake almost immediately and canceled the incorrect booking within ten minutes, then rebooked for our actual stay. We only occupied the hotel on our correct dates, so the property suffered no loss. Despite this, I was charged $517.94 for the unused, promptly-canceled reservation. Neither the hotel nor Expedia would help with a refund--every attempt to reach the property was ignored, and Expedia claimed the hotel alone could authorize a refund. This rigid, unresponsive policy has put a real financial burden on my working family. Businesses should treat guests fairly when honest mistakes are corrected instantly. I strongly recommend future guests book elsewhere or read the cancellation policy very carefully!

No stains, funny smells or anything like that and housekeeping does great at keeping up with clean towels, making the bed Etc. They do fantastic. Comfort is another plus and the bed is the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in and the room feels like a condo rather than a plain and dingy ol' hotel room. Lots of natural light makes its way into the room. It is VERY modern and everything pretty much new ij the room and there is an emphasis on being eco-friendly which I like. The only negative I have is there is some noise from the road depending on what side you're on and there is an amphitheater nearby as well with music events. Cool but can be a little noisy. Nothing earplugs can't fix though and it isn't nightly. Check it out! It's a great place to stay.

The room was clean and the room service was excellent. The room service workers were all very nice and polite. I went during a lifeguard completion and I witness one of the South Carolina guests being rude and disrespectful to the staff member assisting in the breakfast buffet. I completely understand why there's a small fee for the beach chairs and umbrellas on the actual beach. There would be way too many arguments and fights for the chairs and the longevity of people using them or others that would hog as many as possible. We've always had to pay at every hotel I've been to. And I'm so used to having free netflix at the hotels that I was surprised that there wasn't a free account. And some of the charging cable ports in the room didn't work. The shower is not sealed and water leaks out from under the door. I also did not receive the wifi so I used my mobile data instead but it would have been irksome if I had brought my laptop. Had a great view though. haha I did get the view of the pier, so you can imagine how many homeless fights I got to see.
